US lowers tariff on EU autos, implementing terms of deal

WASHINGTON, United States — The United States moved Wednesday to lower tariffs on auto imports from the European Union, retroactive to August 1, implementing the terms of a trade pact that both sides had earlier unveiled.

The shift was detailed in a document filed with the Federal Register by the Commerce Department and the U.S. Trade Representative’s office.
