Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has activated early preparedness measures in response to a fresh warning from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD has alerted about a developing low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal, which is expected to intensify by Nabami (Wednesday) night.

A senior official confirmed that the KMC is taking necessary steps to mitigate any potential impact from the weather system.
