Say what you want about cats and dogs being mortal enemies, but there is just too much adorable proof online that begs to differ. Take, for example, this cat named River, who is best friends with a senior dog named Oakley.
Once their human started giving Oakley daily massages for physical therapy, River quickly took an interest. He was always there to watch and comfort Oakley during these sessions. Since the massages were for physical therapy reasons, they didn’t always feel very good.
River could sense the discomfort in his old friend and seemed to say to their human, “Move aside, you’re doing it wrong!” Now, River tends to Oakley alongside their human, giving him massages while purring and comforting his “mortal enemy” dog best friend.
