Banks Praises Kai Cenat, Speed After Twitch CEO Leaves Them Off Streaming Mt. Rushmore

TMZSports.com recently caught up with the co-founder of FaZe, Banks, to get his take on a recent controversy involving Twitch CEO Dan Clancy. Clancy sparked debate after stating that popular streamers Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed were not part of his “Mt. Rushmore of streamers.” However, Banks firmly believes there is no one more deserving than these two.

Banks, who left FaZe in September, shared his thoughts while out in Los Angeles this week. He emphasized the importance of having full context before responding to Clancy’s comments, saying, “We live in, like, a clipping culture. Very narrative-driven, like, I don’t know, like, I need to see the whole conversation.”

In defense of Clancy, Banks explained that Clancy’s idea of the Mt. Rushmore is meant to be more historical. Clancy suggested that although Kai and Speed are hugely popular at the moment, it’s too early to carve their names into his “granite” just yet.

Regardless, Banks made it clear that in his eyes, Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed are currently the best in the streaming world. He confidently named them as his top two picks for the hypothetical Mt. Rushmore recognition: “Kai and Speed are top two dead or alive, for sure.”

When asked who else would make the cut if Banks were to sculpt his own version of a streamers’ Mt. Rushmore, he responded with: “Adin Ross, TFue, RiceGum, and FaZe Adapt.”

Banks’ insight highlights the ongoing debate about who truly shapes the landscape of streaming today — blending current impact with lasting influence.
