SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — Matt Vezza threw a career-high five touchdown passes as New Hampshire soared past Bryant with a commanding 42-14 victory on Saturday.

Vezza completed 27 of 36 passes for 328 yards, also a personal best. Wide receiver Caleb Burke was a standout, hauling in nine receptions for 134 yards, including a spectacular 72-yard touchdown catch. Peyton Strickland contributed with two touchdown receptions.

On the ground, Denzell Gibson gained 90 yards and capped off his performance with a 45-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, helping lead the Wildcats to their seventh win of the season. New Hampshire finished with an impressive 467 yards of total offense.

Bryant, struggling to keep up, was limited to 234 yards of offense. Elijah Elliott was the primary offensive threat for the Bulldogs, rushing for both of Bryant’s touchdowns and totaling 60 yards on 18 carries.
