Solo Leveling season 3 has yet to be announced, but anime fans are hopeful following a cryptic tweet from one of its producers: “I know what the world is waiting for”

It’s been eight months since anime fans were treated to new episodes of *Solo Leveling*, and it’s safe to say they’ve been itching for more the entire time. Now, their hopes for a *Solo Leveling* Season 3 have been reignited, thanks to a cryptic tweet from the show’s animation producer.

On November 2, Atsushi Kaneko took to Twitter to share a meme featuring Pepe the Frog (created by @HirenCloud). In the image, Pepe holds a cup of coffee and a flag with Kaneko’s illustrated avatar on it. If you look closely, you’ll notice the phrase “Great fOOkin’ happy news” hidden three times within the meme. Additionally, Pepe has bandages on his face—much like how Sung Jinwoo sometimes looked when he was younger. Check it out below.

One excited follower responded, “OK!! SL FANS WILL KEEP WAITING FOR THE GREAT FOOKIN NEWS!!” Another added, “We will wait for the Greatful Fookin’ news, we trust you sir. We will wait because we trust in you and we know you will make it better than season 2.” A third fan praised the second season, saying, “*Solo Leveling* Season 2 was phenomenal.”

*Solo Leveling* Season 2 was released between January and March 2025. It picked up exactly where the first season left off, with Jinwoo embracing his new role as the superpowered Shadow Monarch. Initially, he vows to keep his newfound abilities under wraps, but secrecy proves tricky when a strange hunter—who has been lost for nearly ten years—shares a prophecy of an impending catastrophe with Jinwoo.

*Solo Leveling* is based on Chugong’s South Korean web novel of the same name. The anime adaptation was directed by Shunsuke Nakashige and written by Noboru Kimura. Both Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Crunchyroll.

**Songs of the Emerald Isle** (1955) — A Timeless Irish Travelogue Now Streaming Free on IFIPlayer

*Songs of the Emerald Isle*, an enchanting Irish travelogue from 1955, is now available to watch for free on the Irish Film Institute’s IFIPlayer. This short film beautifully showcases five much-loved Irish airs and ballads set against the stunning backdrop of the Irish landscape.

Featured performances include Bing Crosby singing “How Can You Buy Killarney?” (from his *St Patrick’s Day Parade* album), John Feeney’s rendition of “The Connemara Shore,” and Connie Foley’s heartfelt “Lovely Leitrim.” These evocative songs of yearning and nostalgia are brought to life with vivid imagery of Irish Travellers, fishermen, foresters, and farmers, alongside ancient monuments, lush farmlands, seascapes, and the majestic River Shannon.

In a charming scene set in Cavan, the Power Dancers and Ulster champion Marie McCluskey perform lively jigs and reels in a schoolyard, accompanied by an accordion player, capturing the vibrant spirit of traditional Irish dance.

**Filming Locations**

The film features picturesque locations including:

– Oughterard, Ashford Castle, County Mayo
– Fenagh Abbey, County Leitrim
– County Galway
– Cavan
– The River Shannon
– The western coast of Ireland

This digital copy was created from the only surviving print of the film, preserved in the IFI Irish Film Archive collection. The original 16mm print shows signs of wear and tear—such as occasional slight picture jumps and audio gaps—testaments to its popularity and frequent screenings. The Irish Film Institute hopes these minor imperfections will not detract from your enjoyment of this charming cultural gem.
