By the end of the night, Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas led the leaderboard with a total of 79 points, thanks to judges’ scores and the team dance boost. At the bottom was Andy Richter and Emma Slater with 68 points.

The bottom three couples facing elimination were Andy Richter and Emma Slater, Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas, and Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov. Ultimately, Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov were eliminated after performing a Contemporary dance to Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” finishing with a total score of 74.

Miami, Miami Beach y Hialeah eligen alcalde: estos son los resultados preliminares

En una jornada electoral marcada por una participación más baja de la esperada, la comisionada Eileen Higgins lideraba este martes la contienda por la alcaldía de Miami con el 35,96 % de los votos, según los resultados preliminares publicados por la Junta Municipal. Emilio T. Gonzalez ocupaba el segundo lugar con el 19,47 %, seguido por Ken Russell con el 17,58 %.

De confirmarse estos resultados, habrá una segunda vuelta, ya que la carta constitutiva del condado de Miami-Dade establece que para ganar la alcaldía de Miami un candidato debe obtener la mayoría de los votos, es decir, más del 50 %. Esta segunda vuelta tendrá lugar el 9 de diciembre, y en ella Higgins se enfrentaría a Emilio Gonzalez.

Higgins es una demócrata registrada, mientras que González representa el ala republicana y cuenta con el apoyo público del gobernador de Florida, el republicano Ron DeSantis. “Si Florida puede demostrar en las elecciones de la ciudad de Miami que los demócratas todavía pueden obtener buenos resultados y ganar estas elecciones, esto debería generar una onda expansiva en todo el país para que se siga prestando atención a Florida y se siga invirtiendo aquí”, declaró Nikki Fried, presidenta del Partido Demócrata de Florida, en declaraciones recogidas por Político.

The NZD/USD pair tumbled to near 0.5640, reaching its lowest level since April 10 during the early Asian session on Wednesday. The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) weakened against the US Dollar (USD) following the release of New Zealand’s jobless rate, which rose to the highest in nine years in the third quarter (Q3).

Data released by Statistics New Zealand showed that the unemployment rate increased to 5.3% in Q3 from 5.2% in Q2, aligning with market expectations. Employment remained unchanged compared to the previous three months, falling short of the estimated 0.1% increase.

Traders are now awaiting key US economic reports, including the ADP Employment Change and the ISM Services Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), both scheduled for release on Wednesday. These reports are expected to provide further guidance on the USD’s direction.

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) has cut the Official Cash Rate (OCR) by 300 basis points since August of last year, bringing it down to 2.5%. Most economists anticipate an additional 25 basis point cut at the RBNZ’s final meeting of the year on November 26. This dovish monetary stance could continue to weigh on the NZD against the USD in the near term.

However, positive developments in US-China trade talks may help limit the downside for the Kiwi, often seen as a proxy for China due to the country’s close trade ties with New Zealand.
