With all eyes on the biggest game of the season this Saturday, Michigan’s also going to need some help if it wants to play for a Big Ten championship. The Wolverines must dethrone No. 1-ranked Ohio State, unbeaten at 11-0 and tied atop the conference standings with Indiana, both with a perfect 8-0 league record. Next in line are the Wolverines, who have a 7-1 Big Ten record and are tied with Oregon for second place. Only two teams can play for a league championship next Saturday, Dec. 6, in Indianapolis, making the final week of the regular season important for all involved. If Ohio State and Indiana both hold serve, winning their rivalry games and finishing the regular season undefeated, then they will meet at Lucas Oil Stadium. Easy enough. But there’s the potential for a three and even four-way tie if Michigan can beat the Buckeyes and Purdue can somehow dethrone Indiana. For Michigan, it boils down to three different scenarios, according to a list of tiebreakers released by the Big Ten on Sunday. All three require the Wolverines winning the game Saturday over Ohio State (12 p. m., FOX). • The first and most likely scenario of the group calls for Michigan to beat Ohio State, Indiana to beat Purdue (the Boilermakers are winless in Big Ten play this season) and Oregon to lose its regular-season finale at Washington. Jedd Fisch’s Huskies are 8-3 and were ranked just a few weeks ago, leaving the door open for an upset victory Saturday in Seattle. If that first scenario was to play out, Michigan would hold the tiebreaker over Ohio State (head-to-head win) and play a 12-0 Indiana team for the Big Ten championship. Note heading into the weekend: Indiana-Purdue is set for 7: 30 p. m. on Friday, providing further clarity for Saturday’s games involving Michigan-Ohio State and Oregon-Washington. • The second scenario requires a Purdue upset of Indiana, Michigan win over Ohio State and Oregon victory over Washington. That would leave four 8-1 teams atop the Big Ten standings, requiring seven different tiebreaker steps to determine a Michigan-Oregon matchup for the Big Ten championship. The lone blemish for Dan Lanning’s Ducks came in mid-October, a 30-20 home loss to Indiana, giving the Hoosiers a head-to-head edge over Oregon. But with ties involving multiple teams, record against common opponents and best overall record of conference opponents takes precedent. Oregon would get the nod here. • Last, and perhaps the most intriguing scenario of them all, and least likely: A Michigan win over Ohio State coupled with upset wins for Purdue (over Indiana) and Washington (over Oregon) would trigger a Michigan-Ohio State rematch for the Big Ten championship in Indianapolis. Ever since the College Football Playoff field expanded to 12 teams last year, the possibility of Michigan and Ohio State playing multiple times in the same season has been bandied about. The door is still open for that to happen in 2025. Is it likely? No, but it’s technically still possible. Getting back to Indianapolis has been a goal of Sherrone Moore’s since taking over the Michigan job in 2024. The Wolverines won three straight conference titles from 2021 to ‘23, a run that coincided with the team winning the CFP and national title during the final year. They posted a 7-5 regular-season in 2024, falling well short of playing for a Big Ten title. But Michigan finds itself back in the title picture again this year. While a victory over Ohio State is required, some additional help will be required. Notable Big Ten games this weekend that could impact Michigan’s chances: • 7: 30 p. m. Friday, NBC/Peacock No. 2 Indiana (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) at Purdue (2-9, 0-8 Big Ten) • 12 p. m. Saturday, FOX No. 1 Ohio State (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) at No. 18 Michigan (9-2, 7-1 Big Ten) • 3: 30 p. m. Saturday, CBS No. 7 Oregon (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten) at Washington (8-3, 5-3 Big Ten).

Opposing Parents Vent to Reporter in the Stands as Trans Volleyball Player Leads Team to Dominant Playoff Win
Now that we’ve passed peak wokeness, perhaps we can start admitting that the evidence is undeniable: boys win at girls’ sporting events because of the massive advantages of biology. This idea should be self-evident. Yet, it wasn’t in some quarters—hence, we’re still having this discussion.
In very progressive Ann Arbor, Michigan, the notion that wokeness ever peaked is considered a minor heresy. As a result, Skyline High School has made the state girls volleyball tournament for the second straight year, and in dominant fashion. But what’s the secret to its success? The team isn’t precisely all girls.
According to sports outlet OutKick, Skyline won a straight-sets victory over Saline High School on Thursday, securing its place among the final eight teams in the Division I Michigan High School Athletic Association girls tournament. However, Saline parents were incensed during the 25-15, 25-18, 25-21 sweep due to the presence of a female-identifying male athlete on the Skyline team.
The controversy goes beyond having a boy on a girls’ team, although that’s certainly part of the problem.
OutKick reporter Dan Zaksheske explained: The MHSAA requires transgender athletes to have an approved waiver to compete in any organization-sponsored events, including district and regional tournaments. The organization stated in September that it had not granted any waivers since last fall, with waivers needing approval every year. Yet, it has ignored multiple follow-up requests asking whether any waivers have since been granted.
Throughout the fall season, OutKick reported that Skyline appeared to have attempted to conceal the biological male player’s identity. Many parents of opposing teams expressed outrage on discovering their teenage daughters were competing against a male athlete.
Zaksheske wrote that the individual “dominated the first set with several massive kills, helping Skyline cruise to the first set win.” This performance was not met with universal delight among Saline parents.
One parent said, “As you saw, it was actually a pretty even match when he wasn’t on the court.” Another remarked, presumably with sarcasm, “I’ve never seen a girl jump that high.” A third parent expressed displeasure by putting his thumbs down every time the male athlete made a play.
Despite the controversy, Skyline’s march to the Elite Eight continued. As one parent put it, this outcome is easily possible in “the People’s Republic of Ann Arbor.”
Zaksheske also noted that he’d been harassed for “doing my job,” and that Skyline supporters were “practically encouraged by Skyline principal Casey Elmore” in this endeavor. “Why wouldn’t they?” he added. “It’s clear their views on these subjects are rarely, if ever, challenged.”
That dynamic may change, given that the next match will take place in a region closer to Trump territory in Michigan than before. Most games so far have been in and around Ann Arbor, home to the University of Michigan. Skyline’s next game will be in Kent County—a much more moderate, conservative area.
That said, this should be an issue that no longer divides anyone. We’ve seen the danger of gender ideology overtaking common sense in everything from high school sports to the Olympics. It is beyond doubt that you cannot overcome biological differences of gender with a bit of woke prestidigitation.
If the rest of us can come to our senses on this issue, surely the People’s Republic of Ann Arbor can, eventually.

26-Years-Family-Owned 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible at No Reserve
This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible was originally sold new on August 28th, 1975, from Hartman Motor Sales of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. It remained with its original owner until 1999 when it was acquired by the current owner’s father. The vehicle was later inherited in 2014, and since then, it has undergone several updates and maintenance work to preserve its condition.
The car’s body was repainted in ivory in 2022, during which time the door handles were replaced and the front and rear bumpers were refinished. A replacement power-operated soft convertible top was installed in March 2025, ensuring the car retains its classic appeal while offering modern convenience. Additional exterior details include remote-controlled mirrors, pinstripes, bright bodyside moldings, and 15″ steel wheels with black covers wrapped in 235/75 Suretrac Power Touring white-wall tires.
Under the hood, power comes from a 500 cubic inch V8 engine featuring a Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, originally factory rated at 190 net horsepower. This engine is paired with a Turbo Hydra-Matic three-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. Essential maintenance includes the replacement of the radiator in 2021, front ball joints and left front hub bearing in May 2024, and a new exhaust system installed in January 2024.
The Eldorado’s suspension includes a torsion bar front setup and a coil-sprung solid rear axle, complemented by Automatic Level Control and power steering. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners, enhancing safety and performance.
Inside, the cabin features a power-adjustable front bench seat trimmed in Light Ivory-Gold Sierra Grain leather. The interior includes automatic climate control, woodgrain trim, power windows and locks, and a Bluetooth-capable head unit installed in the glove compartment for modern entertainment needs. The three-spoke steering wheel was refurbished in June 2023 and frames a classic 100-mph speedometer. While the five-digit odometer is said to have rolled over once, it currently shows approximately 5,000 miles. One minor flaw is a crack visible in the left door panel upholstery.
This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible is now offered for sale with no reserve. It comes complete with the owner’s manual, original 1975-dated invoices, a shipping card, a 1976 newspaper article, partial service records, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name. This well-maintained and thoughtfully updated classic represents a wonderful opportunity for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
