Inside Frogmore Cottage and its five luxury bedrooms where Prince Andrew has ‘requested to relocate’

While Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, packed up their belongings and left a life at Frogmore Cottage behind for the rolling hills of Montecito, California, in 2020, the residence is reportedly being sought after by Prince Andrew following news he may have to give up his current home at Royal Lodge.

According to The Sun, the King’s brother, 65, is said to have requested to relocate to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate as talks with Buckingham Palace officials continue following his controversial friendship with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

HELLO! understands that Frogmore Cottage and Adelaide Cottage — where his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, has reportedly requested to move — were options offered to the royals several months ago.

### A Home for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Originally home to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they were newlyweds, the famous couple first moved into Frogmore Cottage in 2019. The late Queen Elizabeth II gifted the property to them following their marriage in 2018.

Despite Frogmore Cottage’s royal connection dating back to the 19th century, Harry and Meghan set about making the historic Grade-II listed building feel like home. Situated in Windsor Great Park, the house originally had 10 bedrooms. However, following the £2.4 million renovations carried out by the Duke and Duchess, the number of bedrooms was halved to five.

During their time at Frogmore, the couple welcomed their children, Archie Harrison, now 6, and Lilibet Diana, 4, before moving to America to start their new life.

### Inside Frogmore Cottage

The interior of the famous cottage was showcased on the couple’s Netflix series, with particular attention given to the country-style kitchen featuring massive marble countertops and elegant decor. The cottage reportedly includes five bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a nursery.

Meghan brought a vibrant touch to the interiors by adding pops of colour through bold cushions and throws adorned with intricate patterns and designs.

### Beautiful Gardens and Scenic Surroundings

Perhaps just as stunning as the interior are the leafy green, sprawling exteriors of Frogmore Cottage. The gardens, frequently shown in the Netflix series and various photographs, are meticulously maintained, full of flowers and trees that ensure the royals’ privacy.

The outdoor space also features a charming wooden arbour seat. A visitor during one of Frogmore Estate’s rare open days told HELLO! that there is a special tribute in the garden to one of the family’s pets — a dog statue.

The cottage enjoys breathtaking views, situated in front of a large lake and the Grade-II listed Frogmore House, where Harry and Meghan hosted their wedding reception in May 2018.

### Harry’s Reflections on Frogmore Cottage

In his memoir, *Spare*, Harry reflected on their time at the property. He wrote:

> “Meg and I moved our office into Buckingham Palace. We also moved into a new home. Frogmore was ready. We loved that place. From the first minute, it felt as if we were destined to live there.”

He continued:

> “We couldn’t wait to wake up in the morning, go for a long walk in the gardens, check in with the swans — especially grumpy Steve. We met the Queen’s gardeners, got to know their names and the names of all the flowers. They were thrilled at how much we appreciated, and praised, their artistry.”

### The History Behind Frogmore Cottage

With a grand history, Frogmore Cottage was first built in 1860. It is located on the same estate as the Frogmore Mausoleums and the Royal Burial Ground — the final resting places of Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, and Edward VIII.

Before becoming known as the residence of Harry and Meghan, the cottage served as a retreat for Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, wife of King George III.

Frogmore Cottage remains a significant royal home, rich with history and personal stories, and now, potentially, a new chapter awaits as it may soon accommodate Prince Andrew.

Royal Revenge: Prince William to Strip Estranged Brother Prince Harry and Non-working Royals of Their Titles After Taking the Throne

**Prince William to Strip Titles from Non-Working Royals Including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Upon Ascending the Throne**

*Published Oct. 20, 2025, 4:30 p.m. ET*

Prince William is reportedly set to take a hard stance against his estranged brother, Prince Harry, and other non-working members of the royal family by stripping them of their royal titles once he becomes king, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The 43-year-old monarch-in-waiting has already seen Prince Andrew renounce his royal titles and honors amid the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Sources say William plans to take an even firmer approach with others who are not actively serving within his reign.

### Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Lose Their Titles

When he becomes King William V, the prince will use an executive royal order known as “letters patent,” ratified by Parliament, to swiftly strip Harry, 40, and his wife, Meghan Markle, of their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles as well as their “HRH” (His/Her Royal Highness) status, according to a source who spoke to The Royalist.

Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 to relocate to California and pursue financial independence. Despite their departure, Markle has notably continued to use her Duchess of Sussex title both professionally and personally, often speaking openly about her disdain for royal life.

Also expected to lose their titles are the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The children were entitled to royal styling following their grandfather King Charles III’s accession to the throne in 2022. Although Harry and Meghan had the option to style Archie as the Earl of Dumbarton at birth, they chose instead to give him the family surname Mountbatten-Windsor. However, they later embraced the princely titles following the Queen’s passing.

### Titles of Prince Andrew’s Daughters Also at Risk

The daughters of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are also expected to have their royal titles revoked early in William’s reign, an insider revealed.

Beatrice and Eugenie were awarded their princess titles at birth as granddaughters of the late Queen Elizabeth II, in accordance with existing letters patent. In contrast, the children of the Queen’s other two children—Princess Anne and Prince Edward—were not granted prince or princess titles and thus will not be affected by William’s proposed title changes.

### The Fight Over Prince Andrew’s Titles

A close friend of Prince William told The Royalist that the prince wanted sweeping title changes implemented when Andrew was forced to relinquish his dukedom and other honors. However, King Charles III’s cancer crisis delayed such drastic moves.

“It should have been done by Charles this week, but William knows he doesn’t have the strength because of his illness. William is understanding of his father’s situation,” the friend shared. “William won’t be afraid to take the next step.”

William had reportedly been lobbying strongly for Andrew’s removal of his prince title as well. Instead, on October 17, Andrew announced that after consulting with “The King, and my immediate and wider family,” he would give up his Duke of York title and other honors, including membership in the Order of the Garter, but retain his prince title.

An insider commented on the shifting stance: “On Wednesday, the king’s office said removing the dukedom would be a lame and ineffectual gesture unless you took away the prince title as well. On Friday, it’s suddenly the other way round, and persuading him to drop the duke title, without even taking it away, is being held up as a triumph of the king’s steely will. His operation is a mess.”

### ‘Change Is Good’ — Prince William Signals Reform

Prince William has already hinted that significant changes are coming when he takes the throne.

“I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good. I embrace that and I enjoy that change, I don’t fear it,” he told Eugene Levy during a recent episode of his Apple TV+ series *The Reluctant Traveler*.

As the new king, William seems determined to reshape the monarchy by tightening royal titles and streamlining the family’s role – focusing on those who actively serve the Crown.

EXCLUSIVE: How Prince Harry Was Blocked From Getting His ‘Dream’ Tattoo — After He Was Spotted at Inker’s Parlor in New York

**Prince Harry Nearly Got His ‘Dream’ Tattoo on a Wild Las Vegas Trip, New Details Reveal**

*Published Oct. 1, 2025, 7:40 p.m. ET*

Prince Harry once came close to getting his “dream” tattoo during a wild trip to Las Vegas — a story RadarOnline.com can now reveal has resurfaced after he was recently seen taking part in a tattoo stunt at a New York parlor.

Harry, 41, recounted in his memoir *Spare* how, during a notorious 2012 trip to Nevada, he was determined to commemorate the holiday with a permanent mark of ink. Egged on by alcohol and the rush of freedom, he settled on the idea of a map of Botswana on the sole of his foot.

### A Tattoo Plan Born in Sin City

However, his friends quickly intervened, insisting that no prince should wake up with a permanent reminder of a night out in Sin City. A source close to the duke shared, “Harry genuinely wanted the tattoo — to him, it symbolized both his connection to Botswana and living in the moment. His friends, though, saw it as a bad idea and stepped in, convinced he’d regret it later.”

In *Spare*, Harry described how he debated the placement of the tattoo. The shoulder was “too visible,” the lower back “too provocative,” but the sole of his foot seemed perfect. “Layers upon layers of symbolism,” he wrote, recalling how he wandered down the Las Vegas Strip looking for a parlor with an atlas of Africa.

### Friends Put Their Foot Down

Despite his enthusiasm, his friends had other ideas. “Absolutely not,” they said, even threatening to “hold me down, knock me out, whatever it took” to stop him. In the end, Harry abandoned the plan and instead joined his entourage in a nightclub, admitting to sulking over the missed opportunity.

### Ink Fascination Resurfaces in New York

More than a decade later, Harry’s fascination with body art has not diminished. Last year, he was spotted entering East Side Ink in Manhattan alongside American country star Jelly Roll, sparking speculation he had finally gone through with the tattoo.

It later emerged, however, that the scene was staged as part of a promotional sketch for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025. In the short film, Jelly Roll jokingly inks Harry, who pretends to be getting his first tattoo.

The prank highlighted the royal exile’s playful side but also revived memories of that infamous Vegas trip. Another insider commented, “The stunt brought back memories of Harry’s long-standing curiosity about tattoos. Even though it wasn’t real, it reminded people of that night in Las Vegas when he nearly went through with it.”

### A Dream Deferred, Not Forgotten

Harry’s 2012 weekend in Nevada is remembered more for scandalous photographs leaked from a game of strip billiards than for his unfulfilled tattoo dream. Yet his memoir underlines how seriously he had considered it at the time, describing the tattoo as a symbol of his independence.

Though he never went through with the Botswana design, Harry admitted the idea lingered. *“The tattoo could wait till the next day,”* he recalled in *Spare* — though that day has not come… yet.
