Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar: Viewers of Bigg Boss are accustomed to Salman Khan standing up for contestants, cautioning them, or pulling them up. However, this weekend, the host suddenly attacked Amaal Mallik. Salman publicly announced that he would be giving Amaal a “class” even outside the show, turning what had begun as a straightforward task within the house into an unexpected occasion for the audience. Why Salman Khan targeted Amaal? The housemates were asked to choose the individual they thought would act like a sore loser if they didn’t win during Weekend Ka Vaar. Pranit More took Amaal Mallik’s name while the majority pointed to Shehbaz Badesha. Also Read What did Pranit More say? Pranit explained his choice by saying, “So many times, even before the weekend, he comes and says that Salman sir will take me and Shehbaz’s class. And he says it so often, as if he takes pride in it that’s how it feels to me. If he’s saying this while being here, then I feel that even outside, somewhere or the other, he still won’t accept it.” Also Read Salman’s sharp reply towards Amaal What came next has now generated a lot of internet attention. In response, Salman made a harsh remark about Amaal. He said, “Jitni class yahan pe li hai vo kaafi li hai, lekin class toh yeh jab ghar se bahar niklega tab li jaayegi, 1000%. Aur class lene ke alag alag tareeke hain. Ek toh samjhao, ek daanto aur ek kuch mat karo, ignore karo. Isse badi class kuch nahi ho sakti. Indifferent raho, samjhe aap?” BB19 fans were shocked after. Social media went crazy with the “ignore karo” phrase, especially since BB fans have frequently said that Salman is more forgiving of Amaal than other contestants. That narrative was entirely turned upside down at this point.

Bret Hart Claims Vince McMahon And Shawn Michaels Were “Lovers” During 1997 Rivalry
During a live appearance on the Johnny I Pro Show in Montreal, Bret “The Hitman” Hart revisited the controversial events of the 1997 Montreal Screwjob. While discussing the animosity that permeated the WWF locker room at the time, Hart made a startling claim regarding the relationship between Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels. Hart suggested that the bond between the two men went beyond professional preference, theorizing that they were romantically involved during the height of the “Attitude Era” genesis. Hart reflected on the moment Michaels famously “lost his smile” and forfeited the WWF Championship earlier in 1997. Hart noted that he and The Undertaker watched the segment on a monitor, skeptical of Michaels’ knee injury, especially after Michaels performed a backflip in the ring moments later. Hart recalled seeing a tear roll down McMahon’s cheek while watching Michaels speak, a reaction that fueled Hart’s suspicions about the true nature of their dynamic. “I think there’s more going on here between these two guys,” Hart said. “Honestly. I think that Shawn and Vince were sleeping with each other. I’m being dead honest. I think I’m very close to the truth here. Shawn and Vince were lovers. I got caught between two lovers, and I got shafted and screwed over, and Shawn was so envious and jealous of my position that he finally had to sleep with Vince to get it.” The “Hitman” also detailed the specific conversation that led to his refusal to drop the championship to Michaels at Survivor Series. Hart explained that while he was willing to do business professionally, a conversation with Michaels in Anaheim, California, changed his stance entirely. According to Hart, when he told Michaels he would be happy to put him over, Michaels responded by saying he would not be willing to do the same for Hart. “I went to Shawn and said, ‘Hey, I heard we’re wrestling at Survivor Series. I don’t have any problem dropping the belt to you,’” Hart recalled. “[Shawn] goes, ‘I appreciate that, but I just want you to know that I’m not willing to do the same thing for you.’ . That goes against everything in the wrestling business. I never dropped the belt to anyone that has no respect for me.” Hart concluded by recounting the physical altercation with McMahon following the Screwjob. He described finding McMahon in the locker room, leading to a confrontation where Hart struck the WWE Chairman with an uppercut, knocking him unconscious. Hart expressed pride in standing his ground, noting that he felt he maintained his integrity throughout the ordeal. The claim about Michaels and McMahon is unsubstantiated, for the record. Salvation Army of Rowan County offers Thanksgiving meals
By Mike Anderson The Salvation Army of Rowan County extends its heartfelt thanks to the public for their continued generosity, support and kindness during this meaningful time of year. As families across Rowan County prepare to gather for Thanksgiving, many will enjoy the comforting traditions of the holiday-sharing a warm meal, watching football and beginning the excited countdown to the Christmas season. But Thanksgiving is about far more than turkey, football or the start of holiday shopping. It is a day centered on gratitude, togetherness and the simple joy of being cared for and remembered. Yet, for some in our community, this season can feel lonely or uncertain. Not everyone has a table to gather around or loved ones to sit beside. That is why The Salvation Army of Rowan County is hosting a Community Thanksgiving Luncheon on Monday, Nov. 25, from 11: 30 a. m. to 2 p. m. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a warm, traditional Thanksgiving meal served with kindness and compassion. Thanks to the generous donation of turkeys from Food Lion, The Salvation Army is able to prepare a full Thanksgiving spread-tender turkey, savory dressing, mashed potatoes, vegetables and slices of pie. Whether someone comes seeking fellowship, a good meal, or simply a place where they feel valued, the luncheon is meant to offer comfort and connection to anyone who needs it. Although the meal is held a few days before the holiday, the meaning remains the same. Thanksgiving is rooted in gratitude and the act of sharing our blessings with others. A brief devotional thought will be offered during the luncheon, reflecting on the deeper purpose of the season: that true thankfulness grows when we reach out to help one another, and that compassion can brighten even the hardest days. To help the team prepare, The Salvation Army kindly asks anyone planning to attend to email salisburync@uss. salvationarmy. org with a quick RSVP. This is not required, but it will greatly help ensure plenty of food and seating for everyone. Everyone is invited to the luncheon at The Salvation Army-no reservation required to attend. The hope is that every guest leaves feeling encouraged, welcomed, and reminded that they are not alone. Mike Anderson is the corps administrator at Salvation Army of Rowan County.

24,000 registered nurses ratify new four-year contract with UC
The University of California and the California Nurses Association ratified a four-year agreement for nearly 24, 000 registered nurses that includes an 18. 5% minimum increase in wages over the life of the four-year contract across the university’s 19 medical centers and campuses, the union announced on Saturday, Nov. 22. CNA said in its statement that the contract also caps health care premium increases and adds “protections to improve patient safety and nurse retention.” A union spokesperson did not immediately respond to questions about how many members voted to support or reject ratification of the contract, or what the new minimum hourly wage is under the contract for first year nurses. “UC nurses were unified in our demands for a contract that reversed and halted UC management’s growing practice of short-staffing facilities, cutting back on resources, and forcing [registered nurses] to do more with less support,” said Marlene Tucay, an RN at UC Irvine and member of the CNC bargaining team, in a statement. “As a result of the commitment of all CNA members, we won a contract that will improve outcomes for nurses and our patients.” A UC spokeswoman was not immediately available for comment. The new contract, which also places restrictions on UC floating RNs between facilities and adds improvements to meal and rest breaks and workplace violence-prevention policies, covers the period Nov. 1, 2025, to Jan. 31, 2029. Under the contract, RNs were guaranteed a central role in selecting, designing and validating new technology, including artificial intelligence systems, the CNA stated. Registered nurses provide and coordinate patient care and educate patients and the public about various health conditions, according to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. CNA becomes the second major union to ratify a new labor contract with UC in recent days. On Nov. 20, the University Professional and Technical Employees-Communications Workers of America Local 9119, which represents 19, 664 healthcare, research and technical professionals, ratified its contract with UC. The UPTE-CWA union’s agreement provides a roughly 28% pay bump over the next four years, pension contributions, caps on health care premium increases, and improvements to career advancement steps and work-life balance. Bargaining between the university and CNA and UPTE-CWA began in June 2024 ahead of the contract expiration with each of the unions on Oct. 31, 2024. Earlier this month, after CNA and UPTE-CWA reached a tentative deal with UC, the unions cancelled plans to join picket lines with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3299, which represents 37, 481 service and patient care technical workers at UC, ahead of a Nov. 17-18 strike. The plans to cancel participation in the strike would have brought more than 80, 000 union members including CNA, UPTE-CWA and AFSCME to the picket lines last Monday and Tuesday in what they described as a historic display of solidarity against UC. As of Saturday, AFSCME Local 3299 was still in talks with UC negotiators. That union’s contract also expired last year, with its members going out on strike Nov. 17-18. “UC’s disappointing tone deafness to the affordability crisis plaguing its lowest paid frontline workers persists,” said Todd Stenhouse, a spokesman for AFSCME Local 3299. Michael Avant, president of AFSCME Local 3299, has made a point of criticizing the UC system for spending billions of dollars acquiring new facilities, “lavishing exorbitant raises on its wealthiest executives and funding housing assistance programs to help these same ivory tower elites buy mansions or second homes” though not offering its frontline workers enough to “pay the rent or keep pace with the skyrocketing cost of groceries.”.

Lavelle’s goal leads Gotham over Spirit 1-0 for NWSL championship
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) Rose Lavelle scored in the 80th minute and the eighth-seeded Gotham FC beat the Washington Spirit 1-0 on Saturday night to win their second National Women’s Soccer League championship. Second-half substitute Bruninha drove into the box on the left wing and sent the ball across to Lavelle, whose left-footed shot sailed past Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Kingsbury into the bottom corner of the net. It is the first NWSL championship title for Lavelle, who had scored in the 2023 final when she was playing for the Seattle Reign against Gotham in a 2-1 loss. After a strong opening 10 minutes of the match for Gotham, with three shots from Jaedyn Shaw, the final began to mature into a tense affair. There were few chances and the best of the first half came when Spirit midfielder Hal Hershfelt perfectly timed a slide tackle and cleaned out Midge Purce with the follow through. Not long after the half, Trinity Rodman was brought off the Spirit bench for Sofia Cantore, bringing the crowd to its feet. The U. S. women’s national team star was on limited minutes after suffering a knee sprain in October. Even with the introduction of Rodman, the Spirit continued to struggle to create chances. They had marginally more control of the ball, 53%, but were outshot by Gotham 12-6 and finished the game without a single shot on target. Rodman had zero shots and zero chances created. The second-seeded Spirit (14-6-8) suffered a second consecutive defeat in the NWSL final, having lost last year to the Orlando Pride in Kansas City, Missouri. The Spirit reached this year’s final by overcoming Racing Louisville 3-1 in a penalty shootout in the quarterfinals and then beating the Portland Thorns 2-0 in the semifinals. Gotham (11-8-9) had defied the odds to make the final, going on the road twice to defeat the top-seeded Kansas City Current 2-1 in the quarterfinal and the defending champions the Pride, 1-0. Gotham are the first eighth-seed to win the NWSL Championship. In 2023, when there were only six playoff spots, Gotham became the first sixth seed to lift the trophy. Head coach Juan Carlos Amoros has seven NWSL playoff wins in his career and two championships. ___ AP soccer:.

Thanksgiving food drives help struggling Bay Area families facing food insecurity: ‘Feed everybody’
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — With only five days until Thanksgiving, food drives are kicking off to help across the Bay Area to help families experiencing food insecurity enjoy a holiday meal. This is all at a time when so many people are struggling financially. Volunteers were cheering on every car, dropping off donations for the annual SF Turkey Drive. Pierre Smit founded the turkey drive in 2012. It’s a community call to action for frozen Turkeys and Thanksgiving food donations, which benefits the SF-Marin Food Bank and its partners. “This is extremely important. We want to make sure we feed everybody. We want to make sure we don’t have hungry people in San Francisco,” Smit said. “This is a very good thing. I want to see it do well and support St. Anthony’s and the food bank, for those who need it most,” said Donna Howe from San Francisco. MORE: Bay Area food banks in ‘crisis mode’ despite government shutdown ending San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie and his family stopped by to help collect food donations. “This is all about bringing community together, looking out for each other during this holiday season. We have an affordability crisis in the city and the country. We have to take care of each other. That’s what today is about,” Lurie said. The food bank says it’s a critical time for families facing food insecurity. Demand is higher now than at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. “We’re seeing a 205% spike in people coming to our food locator — that’s people going online, trying to find food,” said Angela Wirch from SF-Marin Food Bank. In the South Bay, a free drive-thru turkey giveaway in Santa Clara is lending a hand to a lot of families in need. “I said, ‘You know, I’m having a hard time, so I’m going to come by and get a turkey for my family,'” said Manuel Rojas. State Senator Aisha Wahab hosted the annual giveaway. She says it gets bigger every year. “We know there’s people who live in poverty and in the shadows,” Wahab said. On Thursday in Santa Cruz, demand overwhelmed supply at a drive-thru Thanksgiving food giveaway. Organizers ran out of food within hours after thousands of people showed up. “One of the things we’ve heard, they’ve either been laid off, struggling. They didn’t want to come and receive a turkey but can’t deny they’re in need this year,” Wahab said.

Maine’s Platner: ‘If I Had My Way’ Google and Palantir ‘Wouldn’t Exist’
WINDHAM, Maine-Senate candidate Graham Platner (D., Maine) said Google and Palantir “wouldn’t exist” if he had his way. “If I had my way, we would break all these companies up. Palantir wouldn’t exist. Google wouldn’t exist,” Platner said Saturday during a town hall in the southern Maine town of Windham. “We could have regulated this nonsense in a way that . would make sure that we’re doing it in a fashion that’s going to benefit workers and not just people in power.” Platner accused the companies of using personal data to fuel corporate profits and societal division. “All of your data does not belong to you. All of our data is used against us daily. Figuring out how to fleece us of money, how to keep us angry at each other. The only way that that changes, in my personal opinion, is policies that don’t allow that to happen. We’re not going to beat them on their terms. We’ve got to build our own weapons. We’ve got to build our own ability to fight back,” he continued. “We’ve got to do it, frankly, using the old fashioned ways, which is connecting, winning elections, building secondary power, getting structural power again, and then using that into the tax code, using the monopoly law, however we want to do it. That’s how we’re going to have to go about it.” Those remarks are Platner’s most aggressive to date on big tech. He has, however, said more broadly that he wants to break up monopolies and use the tax code “to get back money that was stolen from the working people. I want to go after companies that have stolen from the American people for decades at this point and accrued all of the wealth at the upper echelons,” Platner said during a Nov. 15 event. Platner’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
