Popular online personality could become a full-time WWE Superstar, believes Randy Orton

Randy Orton is among the most decorated stars in professional wrestling. The veteran recently opined that a popular internet personality could become a full-time WWE Superstar. For the most recent episode of Speed Goes Pro, IShowSpeed headed to the Performance Center to train like a future WWE Superstar. The YouTuber received training from The Apex Predator before competing in a match against Anthony Luke. The 20-year-old put forth an incredible performance but lost the contest. Thanks for the submission! After the match, Randy Orton told IShowSpeed that although he still has a long way to go, he is certain that the YouTuber has what it takes to be a WWE Superstar. “It takes a very long time to get good at your craft. You got a long way to go. But without a shadow of a doubt, I think you do have what it takes to be a WWE superstar,” Orton told IShowSpeed. The Viper further opined that IShowSpeed is ready, both physically and mentally, to become a professional wrestler. He added that if the online streamer wants, the latter can become a full-time WWE Superstar through hard work and dedication. “He is ready. We’ve got something here. Mentally, he’s there. Physically, he’s got everything it takes. If he wants to stick with this journey, you know, through hard work and dedication, he could one day be a full-time WWE superstar if he wants it,” Orton added. You can check out the entire video below: WWE Hall of Famer wants Randy Orton to turn heel Randy Orton is among the most iconic heels in professional wrestling. However, he has been a babyface since his return from injury at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2023. Speaking on TMZ Sports’ Inside the Ring podcast, Mark Henry noted that Randy Orton was being underused. However, the veteran does not want to see The Viper win a championship as a babyface. Henry stated that he wanted Orton to turn heel and claimed playing a bad guy was tailor-made for The Viper. “Some people think he’s being underused right now, and I’m one of those people. But I wouldn’t want Randy to be champion as good guy Randy. I want Randy in the role that’s tailor-made for him-coming in, punting people again, RKO’ing people’s grandmothers and kids, stomping everyone. Let Randy be Randy,” Henry said. It remains to be seen whether WWE has any plans to turn Randy Orton heel in the future. Interstate 5 drivers can expect record-breaking travel, increased CHP presence over Thanksgiving

Commuters on Interstate 5 this week may have noticed a significant uptick in traffic over the past few days. California Highway Patrol officials said that they’re expecting more traffic on the I-5 this week as motorists travel for the Thanksgiving holiday. CHP has designated the period between 6 p. m. Tuesday to Sunday at midnight as a Holiday Enforcement Period, or a period of increased presence on the road in the midst of higher travel activity. The holiday weekend also overlaps with one of CHP’s Maximum Enforcement Periods this year, said Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez, a spokesman for the CHP’s Newhall-area Office. “During the HAPs and MAPs release last week that it projected local residents would be traveling in record-breaking numbers during the Thanksgiving holiday period. “(Auto Club) projects 6. 78 million local residents will travel 50 miles or Out of those 6. 78 million travelers, 5. 88 million of them are expected to be traveling by car, according to the release, a 2. 7% increase over Auto Club’s 2024 car travel numbers. Burgos-Lopez said CHP officers will be focusing on DUIs and assisting disabled motorists, and that motorists should keep the expected holiday travel conditions in mind. “Just be aware that it’s obviously a travel time of the year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They’re going to come across a lot more traffic than expected,” Burgos-Lopez said. Officer Erik Larsen with CHP Traffic Management confirmed that there were no wind advisories, upcoming California Department of Transportation closures or rain expected in the Santa Clarita Valley corridor during the Thanksgiving travel period.

BN Cubs Podcast Ep. 40: Phil Maton, Pitching Options, Building a Bullpen, Refsnyder, More

Episode 40 of the Bleacher Nation Cubs Podcast is officially live! In this week’s episode, Brett and I talk about the many available options on the pitching market, in free agency (both international and domestic) and via trade … as well as options from the top-shelf all the way down to convincing reclamation targets. All things considered, it’s a pretty good offseason for the Cubs to be seeking pitching from outside the organization, and we pick that a part a bit as the podcast goes on. We also get into the Phil Maton signing and what else the Cubs might do in the bullpen, including some internal options. After the break, in our transaction corner, Brett and I talk about Rob Refsnyder, a guy who was recently connected to the Cubs via Ken Rosenthal. Brett’s not quite as convinced of the fit as I am. Fun talk though. You can listen to episode 40 anywhere you get your podcasts, including Apple and Spotify, but I’ve also embedded the YouTube recording right here for your convenience! Enjoy! And once again, thanks to Ankin Law for sponsoring the BN Cubs podcast, making it possible! Oh, and please don’t miss our Cubs Podcast page right here on Bleacher Nation. BN Cubs Podcast Ep. 40

Why Strategy’s $8B Debt Problem Is Worse Than It Looks

Strategy Corporation confronts mounting financial pressure as Bitcoin’s recent decline threatens the sustainability of its debt-funded acquisition strategy. The software company turned crypto treasury vehicle must navigate $120 million in preferred stock dividends due by year’s end while holding just $54 million in reported Q3 cash reserves. The timing challenges the Strategy’s aggressive capital raising model. The firm has relied on selling equity and convertible debt to purchase Bitcoin during price rallies. This approach worked during Bitcoin’s expansion phases, but now faces scrutiny as cryptocurrency markets contract. Dividend Obligations Strain Cash Position Strategy’s immediate challenge centres on servicing preferred share dividends without disrupting its core strategy. The company may need to tap proceeds from its Euro-denominated STRE preferred shares to meet obligations. This represents a shift from using all raised capital for Bitcoin acquisitions. The preferred share structure now appears less sustainable than during Bitcoin’s bull run. The strategy could delay some dividend payments to preserve liquidity. Another option involves issuing STRC preferred shares with higher promised yields, though this would increase future financial burdens. Beyond immediate dividend concerns, Strategy faces a potentially larger threat from index rebalancing. The MSCI review scheduled for mid-January could trigger significant selling pressure. Passive funds currently hold over $9 billion worth of Strategy shares. Index removal could force nearly $2. 8 billion in immediate sales, with additional pressure continuing for months. Strategy maintains control of 649, 870 Bitcoin, with most holdings identifiable through blockchain wallet addresses. The treasury faces no immediate risk of liquidation. The company will not carry any Bitcoin-backed loans in 2025, thereby eliminating forced selling scenarios if prices decline further. Debt Maturity Timeline Creates Long-Term Uncertainty Strategy holds approximately $8 billion in convertible debt with maturity dates spanning 2028 to 2032. Most convertible notes already trade out of the money at current stock prices. The company generates minimal free cash flow from its legacy software business, making it dependent on access to capital markets. Annual dividend obligations total roughly $700 million. Strategy must service this debt load while waiting for potential Bitcoin price recovery. The business model requires either sustained access to capital markets or significant appreciation in cryptocurrency before major debt comes due. The strategy amplifies Bitcoin returns during upward price movements but magnifies losses during downturns. Strategy stock recovered modestly to $172. 19 after touching $166, tracking broader cryptocurrency market sentiment. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $86, 941, representing a 0. 61% increase over the past 24 hours. Bitcoin price chart, Source: CoinMarketCap.

2 Indian players who flopped and 1 who starred in the 2nd Test vs South Africa ft. Rishabh Pant

India endured another miserable outing against South Africa as they lost by 408 runs at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday, November 26. The margin of defeat was the worst in the hosts’ Test history. India are now in serious trouble in the ongoing edition of the World Test Championship and face an uphill battle to make the final of the ICC competition. Most of their players failed to deliver in the second Test against the Proteas, although there was one standout performance. On that note, here are two Indian players who flopped and one who starred in the second Test against South Africa. #3 Flop Dhruv Jurel Playing as a specialist batter in Shubman Gill’s absence, Dhruv Jurel endured a miserable Test. He managed just two runs in the match, with both his dismissals being unbecoming of a Test batter. Jurel attempted a bizarre flat-batted pull off Marco Jansen at a time when India were in trouble in the first innings. He ended up top-edging it and was caught by Keshav Maharaj running back from mid-on. It was almost impossible to understand what he was trying. In the second innings, Jurel was completely out of position while attempting a forward defense off Simon Harmer. The keeper-batter edged it to slip, putting the Proteas in the ascendancy. #2 Star Ravindra Jadeja Ravindra Jadeja fell cheaply to Jansen in the first innings, but he did a good job in the second. The left-hander top-scored with a half-century in testing conditions, ensuring that India weren’t rolled over in an instant. Jadeja used the sweep well and seems to be adding new elements to his batting against spin. He was proactive and rotated strike well, forcing Temba Bavuma to push out some of the close-in catchers. Jadeja also helped himself to four wickets in the second innings and six in total in the Test. The left-arm spinner was, as always, accurate and bowled a few trademark pearlers. #1 Flop Rishabh Pant Rishabh Pant’s maiden Test as captain was an unmitigated disaster. And the stand-in skipper needs to take a significant amount of blame for how the encounter transpired. Pant let the game drift each time South Africa started to stitch together a partnership. His bowling changes were bizarre while he first bowled his spinners in spells that were too short, he later sidelined Kuldeep Yadav from the attack when it seemed like the left-arm wrist-spinner was the team’s most threatening bowler. Pant was also unimpressive with the bat. A wild slog off Jansen saw him caught behind in the first innings, and he was deceived in flight by Harmer in the second. The southpaw made just 20 runs in the Test.

Has Suno just become a very different kind of superfan app?

MBW Reacts is a series of analytical commentaries from Music Business Worldwide written in response to major recent entertainment events or news stories. Only MBW+ subscribers have unlimited access to these articles. While the music industry fixates on Suno’s AI generation capabilities and ” The companies claim the combination will “create new potential to deepen the artist-fan connection,” though the mechanics remain unclear. What makes the Songkick element of the deal particularly intriguing is that none of Suno’s major investors appear to have existing positions in the live music or ticketing sector. Suno’s latest $250 million round was led by Menlo Ventures with participation from NVentures (NVIDIA’s venture capital arm), Lightspeed, and Matrix. However, Hallwood Media Ventures, the investment arm of the music company founded by former Geffen Records President Neil Jacobson, also participated. The company brings deep music industry expertise through a team that includes Universal Music Group’s ex-CFO Chuck Ciongoli, former Spotify Head of Global Curation Mike Biggane, and Paul Hourican, the former Global Head of Music Operations at TikTok. Interestingly, Hallwood Media has also been expanding its operations to include merchandising services, ranging from product design and creative solutions to touring solutions: The company’s merch division, according to the website, offers capabilities spanning e-commerce fulfillment and what it calls “experiential” services, including album release parties and pop-up activations. Suno’s move into concert discovery also arrives against a backdrop of a booming live music business. Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino predicts that the live music industry will reach $50 billion by 2030, building on historical annual growth of around 8%. Goldman Sachs forecast similar growth in its latest Music in the Air report. Live Nation’s own Q3 revenues climbed 11% year-over-year to $8. 5 billion, underscoring the sector’s momentum and potentially explaining why an AI company would want a foothold in live music infrastructure. Whether Suno intended to build a superfan platform or simply stumbled into one through strategic acquisitions, the result is the same: It has morphed into a $2. 45 billion company, sitting at the intersection of music creation, discovery, and live attendance with a new investor who clearly has ambitions in the merchandise game. Lakers Could Pull Off Trade to Pair Luka Doncic With Former Teammate

Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers are fresh off of another win, this time defeating the rival Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night by a final score of 135-118. With the win, the Lakers improved to 13-4 on the season. So far this season, Los Angeles has looked the part of a potential NBA Finals contender. Led by an impressive start to the year by Doncic, the Lakers are once again being viewed as a team who could look to improve ahead of the trade deadline. There are a few potential issues that Los Angeles could look to fix. One of those issues comes behind Deandre Ayton at the center position. Read more: Boston Celtics Linked to Major Trade for $97 Million Big Man If something were to happen to Ayton, the Lakers are a bit thin at the center position. Should the right trade opportunity open to acquire a better backup behind Ayton, Los Angeles should consider pursuing it. With that in mind, an intriguing potential trade scenario has been suggested for the Lakers. Bleacher Report analyst Zach Buckley has come up with a trade idea that would bring in one of Doncic’s former teammates in a deal with the Dallas Mavericks. That former teammate is none other than big man Daniel Gafford. In his suggested deal, Los Angeles would trade Jarred Vanderbilt, Dalton Knecht, and a 2031 first-round pick to the Mavericks in exchange for veteran center Daniel Gafford. “If the Lakers are going to dip into their limited draft-pick collection, they’d need to feel confident about seeing a return on that investment,” Buckley wrote. “And they absolutely would with Gafford, who’s already handled a starting gig on a previous NBA Finals run steered by Luka Doncic. Gafford’s low-maintenance, rim-running style would be perfect for the Purple and Gold. Deandre Ayton has had his moments in L. A., but he’s less than an ideal stylistic fit.” Not only would Gafford be a pickup for this season, but he still has three years left on his deal. Gafford could be the future at center and has an already proven fit with Doncic. Read more: Lakers Share Historic Luka Doncic News Before Clippers Game This year in Dallas, Gafford has played in 13 game and made 12 starts with the Mavericks, averaging 24 minutes per game. He has averaged 9. 8 points, 6. 7 rebounds, 1. 6 blocks, 1. 5 assists, and 0. 9 steals, while shooting 61. 5 percent from the floor. At just 27 years old, Gafford is still young enough to be a part of the build for the future. The Lakers would be wise to look into him if Dallas does make him available on the trade market. Of course, this is just an idea at this point in time. No reports have come out connecting Los Angeles and the Mavericks to more trade discussions.

Falcons Get Major Update on Drake London Ahead of Jets Game

The Atlanta Falcons received an important update on injured wide receiver Drake London ahead of their game on Sunday, Nov. 30 against the New York Jets. According to Falcons head coach Raheem Morris, London is doubtful for Sunday’s game as he recovers from a PCL strain in his left knee. London suffered the injury back in week 11 during the Falcons’ overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers. He had played all the way through regulation while making seven catches for 119 yards, but injured his knee during the overtime period. London was not designated to the IR following the injury, which is cause to believe he would be ready to return in less than four weeks which is the required length of an IR designation. He missed Atlanta’s week 12 win over the New Orleans Saints. London was listed as a DNP in each practice leading up to the Saints game. This weeks initial injury report hasn’t been released, though Morris said that London is beginning to do some work, so a return is possible for week 14. London leads Atlanta in each major receiving category. He has 60 catches for 810 yards and six touchdowns. Falcons Defeat Saints Without London to End 5-Game Skid Atlanta had lost five straight games leading into their divisional showdown with the New Orleans Saints, including two straight overtime losses to the Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers and a one-point loss to the New England Patriots. Even though the Saints sit in the basement of the NFL with a record of 2-9, the Falcons showed a great amount of resiliency getting a win on the road without their star wide receiver. Kirk Cousins has been elevated to the starting QB role once again with Michael Penix out for the season, and although he didn’t have his A-game against New Orleans, it was enough to get the job done. He completed 16 passes to seven different receivers, none of whom had more than three catches, but against a lacking Saints secondary, a couple of big plays made the difference. Darnell Mooney stepped up to catch a 49-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter which put Falcons up by 14 and kept the score out of reach for a New Orleans comeback. Playoff Chances Slim For Atlanta At 4-7 with just six games left to go in the season for the Falcons, the playoffs aren’t technically out of reach, but that five-game losing streak put Atlanta in a bad spot as we head towards December. The only chance the Falcons still have of making the playoffs is to make a run in the NFC South, which is currently led by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 6-5. Although Tampa got out to a great 5-1 start, three consecutive losses have them now fending off the Carolina Panthers, who are only behind them by virtue of a bye week for the Bucs. The Falcons should be able to defeat the Jets handily this weekend, which could bring them to within one game of the division lead with one more matchup against the Bucs coming in week 15. Chances are slim, but maybe the aging Kirk Cousins has one more trick up his sleeve.
