Hobbled Patriots aim for 10th straight win

**Patriots Eye 10th Straight Win Despite Injuries Ahead of Monday Night Showdown with Giants**

*FOXBOROUGH, Mass.* — The New England Patriots hold the best record in the NFL at 10-2, riding a two-month unbeaten streak. With only a matchup against one of the league’s lowest-ranked teams—the New York Giants—standing between them and their bye week, the Patriots are focused on maintaining their momentum. However, they’re not taking anything for granted heading into Monday night’s game.

### Offensive Line Takes a Hit

The Patriots will be without two starters on an offensive line that has been among the league’s most durable this season. Rookie left tackle Will Campbell exited last week’s win over Cincinnati with a knee injury and is now on injured reserve. Left guard Jared Wilson also won’t play this week due to an ankle injury.

The usual starting lineup of Campbell, Wilson, center Garrett Bradbury, right guard Mike Onwenu, and right tackle Morgan Moses has started 11 of the first 12 games this year. Despite the absences, the team remains confident.

“We’ve got to prepare the right way because this is a damn good defense and everybody knows it,” said Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs. “Everybody in the league has seen it. They were just in a dogfight last week with a real good team. It’s going to be key for us being on the top of our game.”

### Giants Looking for a Turnaround

The New York Giants enter Monday night’s game having lost six straight. Still, they have shown signs of progress over the last two games under interim head coach Mike Kafka. After a 34-27 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions, the Giants made a coaching change, firing former defensive coordinator Shane Bowen and promoting outside linebackers coach Charlie Bullen to interim defensive coordinator.

Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart is expected back after missing two games with a concussion suffered on November 9 in Chicago. Dart started the week in concussion protocol but was a full participant during the team’s walkthrough. Kafka said a final decision on Dart’s availability will come closer to game time.

Giants receiver Wan’Dale Robinson praised Dart’s professionalism during his recovery:
“He’s preparing each and every day. Even whenever he was announced that he wasn’t playing, he was still acting like he was preparing to play. I just think that just goes to show his maturity and him just being a pro.”

### Familiar Adjustments on the Offensive Line

When Campbell went down against the Bengals, Vederian Lowe stepped in at left tackle, and Brown filled in for Wilson at left guard. Both are expected to reprise those roles against the Giants. Additionally, tackle Marcus Bryant will provide support as needed.

The good news for New England is both Brown and Lowe have considerable starting experience. Lowe started 13 games at left tackle last season, while Brown has made 10 starts at center in 2024 after David Andrews was placed on injured reserve. Bryant has appeared in all 12 games this season.

“It’s not the same five, but it’s five we’ve been working together all year,” Bradbury said. “It’s not panic. It’s just move on, next man up.”

### The Art of the Quarterback Sneak

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye reflected on last week’s 26-20 victory over the Bengals, wishing he could redo some plays, including a failed third-down quarterback sneak with the Patriots leading 20-13 early in the fourth quarter. The team did secure a 19-yard field goal, but Maye emphasized the importance of finishing the job.

“I’ve got to find a way to get in, that’s the biggest thing. I wouldn’t say it’s art. It’s a mentality,” Maye said. “If I’ve got to flip the switch or I’ll do some smelling salts or do something. I think you try to get in the end zone on the 1. I’ve been successful sometimes this year on QB sneaks. I did a lot of them in college on the 1-yardline. Just have to find a way.”

### Giants Tie NFL Record for Blowing Leads

The Giants’ recent overtime loss to the Lions marked their fifth defeat this season after leading by 10 or more points, tying an NFL single-season record. This string of blown leads contributed to the firing of defensive coordinator Shane Bowen.

Linebacker Brian Burns acknowledged the team’s failure to step up during critical moments. “It was one play here, one play there,” Burns said, referring to long touchdown runs by running back Jahmyr Gibbs. “You’ve got to be tight on all cylinders playing a guy that dynamic. That’s where we failed in that aspect and those critical downs, and that’s what we have to be better at.”

### Giants’ Offensive Line: A Bright Spot

Despite the Giants’ struggles, their offensive line has been a consistent positive. Journeyman quarterback Jameis Winston, who started the past two games in Dart’s absence, was not sacked until the final play against the Lions. This protection has helped fuel a rushing attack that ranks ninth in the NFL.

“We’re physical up front. I think we use good technique, and I would say we’re pretty athletic,” said left tackle Andrew Thomas. “We have a veteran group, and getting more snaps together, just watching film, getting more practice reps, I think it helps us.”

The Patriots seek to extend their winning streak while overcoming injuries, facing a Giants team eager to reverse their fortunes. Monday night’s matchup promises a hard-fought battle under the lights.

F1 penalty points: Top 5 delinquents before the 2025 F1 Las Vegas GP

Rookie Ollie Bearman is dangerously close to a race ban as he nears the F1 penalty points threshold. The Haas driver has been a revelation in the sport over the last few races, but his list of on-track infringements seems longer than one might expect.

As part of the F1 penalty points system, drivers who commit on-track transgressions are handed points on their superlicense. These points remain on the license for a 12-month period before they expire. If a driver reaches the 12-point threshold, they face a one-race ban.

With that in mind, who are the top five drivers closest to a ban as we head into the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix? Let’s take a closer look.

### F1 Penalty Points: Who is Close to a Ban?

#### #5. Max Verstappen
**Penalty Points:** 6

While others continue to accumulate points, Max Verstappen has actually dropped down the delinquent list with six penalty points on his superlicense. His points include:

– 3 points for causing a collision with George Russell during the 2025 Spanish GP (expires June 1, 2026)
– 2 points for causing a collision with Oscar Piastri at the 2024 Abu Dhabi GP (expires December 8, 2025)
– 1 point for driving unnecessarily slowly in the 2024 Qatar GP qualifying session (expires December 1, 2025)

#### #4. Liam Lawson
**Penalty Points:** 7

Liam Lawson currently holds seven penalty points. His infringements include:

– 1 point for causing a collision at the Brazilian GP (expires November 8, 2026)
– 1 point for causing a collision at the Miami GP (expires May 3, 2026)
– 2 points for causing a collision at the Bahrain GP (expires April 14, 2026)
– 1 point for another collision at the Bahrain GP (expires April 14, 2026)
– 2 points for causing a collision with Valtteri Bottas at the Qatar GP (expires December 1, 2025)

#### #3. Lance Stroll
**Penalty Points:** 7

Despite currently being listed at five penalty points on his license, Lance Stroll’s violations actually total seven, which include:

– 2 points for causing a collision with Esteban Ocon during the US GP sprint (expires October 20, 2026)
– 2 points for pushing another driver off track at the Canadian GP (expires June 15, 2026)
– 1 point for causing a collision with Charles Leclerc at the Monaco GP (expires May 25, 2026)
– 2 points for causing a collision with Alex Albon at the Qatar GP (expires December 1, 2025)

#### #2. Yuki Tsunoda
**Penalty Points:** 7

Yuki Tsunoda picked up several penalties recently and now has seven points on his superlicense:

– 2 points for causing a collision with Lance Stroll at the 2025 Brazilian GP (expires November 9, 2026)
– 1 point for causing a collision with Ollie Bearman during the 2025 British GP (expires July 6, 2026)
– 2 points for causing a collision with Franco Colapinto during the 2025 Austrian GP (expires June 29, 2026)
– 2 points for overtaking under red flag conditions at the 2025 Canadian GP (expires June 14, 2026)

#### #1. Ollie Bearman
**Penalty Points:** 9

Ollie Bearman is now alarmingly close to a race ban with 9 penalty points on his license — just three points away from the 12-point threshold. His penalty history includes:

– 1 point for causing a collision with Liam Lawson at the 2025 Brazilian GP sprint (expires November 8, 2026)
– 4 points for a red flag infringement in the pitlane during the British GP (expires July 6, 2026)
– 2 points for a red flag infringement during FP2 at the Monaco GP (expires May 23, 2026)
– 2 points for causing a collision with Carlos Sainz at the 2025 Italian GP (expires September 7, 2026)

Keep an eye on these drivers as the F1 season progresses, especially with the Las Vegas GP approaching — a race ban could dramatically impact the championship battle.

Tyler Reddick’s wife Alexa provides health update on son Rookie after transfusion

Two-time Xfinity Series champion Tyler Reddick recently competed in the Cup Series race, the Hollywood Casino 400 Presented by ESPN Bet at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, September 28, 2025. However, there was something else weighing heavily on his mind besides crossing the finish line in first place—his four-month-old son was hospitalized.

In a heartfelt story, Mrs. Reddick was seen holding their infant son, Rookie, who was connected to multiple health monitoring machines. Despite the serious situation, Rookie looked much better in the image and even posed with a smile on his face. The infant had undergone a transfusion after showing signs of heart failure at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he was admitted to the cardiovascular intensive care unit for extensive testing.

Reflecting on Rookie’s improved condition, Tyler Reddick’s wife shared an encouraging update, captioning the story:
“Came off oxygen today, got some answers & perked right up after a transfusion!”

In a follow-up message, Rookie was seen playing with his blanket in the intensive care unit, and Alexa expressed her gratitude to everyone for their support. She wrote:
“He’s saying thank you all for your prayers & kind messages!”

Despite the emotional strain of his son’s critical condition, Tyler Reddick still competed in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, finishing among the top ten drivers. He secured a P7 finish after qualifying 12th in the grueling 267-lap race.

### The Story Behind Rookie’s Name: A Bet During NASCAR Xfinity Series Days

Tyler Reddick and his wife Alexa named their first son after a friendly bet made during his NASCAR Xfinity Series days.

Back in 2019, Alexa was pregnant with their first child while Tyler was competing full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship for Richard Childress Racing. At that time, the couple disagreed on what to name their baby boy. Tyler wanted to name him Beau, while Alexa was set on the name Ryker.

To settle the disagreement, Alexa suggested making a bet. She proposed that if Tyler won the championship, he would earn the right to name their firstborn son.

“I thought it was cute, but that was not my first choice,” Alexa recalled. “I was pretty stuck on Ryker at that point, and he was not hopping on that train. If you know Tyler, once he gets his mind on something, it’s stuck.”

After a strong season with JR Motorsports in 2018, Tyler stepped up his game in 2019. Racing for Richard Childress Racing, he secured six wins and claimed his second Xfinity Series title.

“I don’t know what came over me,” Alexa admitted. “I guess pregnancy brain is a real thing, and one day I was like, ‘Listen, you win this championship, you can name him whatever you want, but I don’t want you calling him anything until you are in victory lane holding up that championship trophy in Miami.’ I shook on it, and here we are, and now the baby’s name is going to be Beau.”

Tyler Reddick currently competes for 23XI Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. This season, he is battling to secure his spot in the Round of Eight, currently sitting 29 points below the cutoff line as the playoffs continue.

Despite the challenges on and off the track, Reddick remains determined to compete at the highest level for his family and fans alike.
