New York City Mayor-Elect Zohran Mamdani has reverted to his old ways of smearing ICE agents and vowing to stand against President Trump’s efforts to remove illegal aliens- all of whom are criminals- from the country, unless they are arrested in “extreme violent felony cases” first. So, until an illegal alien, who should have never been here in the first place, murders an American or violently rapes and murders a woman or child, New York City will continue to protect them. “New York will always be a city of immigrants,” Mamdani said on X less than 24 hours after meeting with Trump. President Trump hosted Mamdani at the White House on Friday afternoon, and the two emerged, appearing highly optimistic about their agreement to work together for the benefit of New York. Trump, shockingly, even told reporters that he expects to work with Mamdani on crime and illegal immigration. Trump appeared to be seriously impressed by the incoming leftwing mayor and heaped praise on him throughout the meeting, even shielding him from adverse questions. “I think he is going to surprise some conservative people, actually,” Trump said. However, not surprisingly, Mamdani’s incoming Chief of Staff, Elle Bisgaard-Church, told Spectrum News the next day that Mamdani “made clear that we uphold sanctuary laws in our city, and all immigrants will be safe in our city,” accusing immigration officials of “inhumane” practices. “Our sanctuary city laws allow cooperation in extreme violent felony cases, and that is something where I think we have alignment,” she added in a clip shared by Mamdani on X. This appears to signal that Mamdani will tell ICE to pound sand when illegal aliens commit nonviolent crimes like driving under the influence, theft, burglary, fraud, vandalism, drug possession, or drug trafficking. WATCH: Bisgaard-Church: We certainly were clear about our disagreements in the room, and the mayor-elect made clear that we uphold sanctuary laws in our city, and all immigrants will be safe in our city. We also made very clear that we feel there has been inhumane raids just this week. So it will be a future conversation with the President, but we, again, grounded an overall desire and the acknowledgement that our sanctuary city laws allow cooperation in extreme violent felony cases, and that is something where I think we have alignment. Mamdani posted the clip on X with his endorsement, commenting, “New York will always be a city of immigrants. When we protect the communities who keep this city running and uphold our sanctuary laws, we create a future that’s safer for every New Yorker.” As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump assured reporters on Friday after his meeting with Mamdani that “the mayor wants to have peace,” and they will work together to get “horrible people” out of New York City. “I think he wants to get them out, maybe more than I do, so we’ll work together. We discussed it at great length,” he added. However, we noted in the report that it is unclear if this means Mamdani will comply with federal efforts to deploy ICE or National Guard troops in New York City to remove dangerous criminals and illegals from the streets, and it does not appear likely that New York will comply with deportations of illegal aliens who have not been convicted of a crime but are still living in the country illegally and should be deported.

Trump to meet New York Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani on Friday
President Donald Trump will meet with New York Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani on Friday after months of name-calling and threats against the 34-year-old democratic socialist, who has vowed to resist his agenda. “We have agreed that this meeting will take place at the Oval Office on Friday, November 21st,” Trump said in a social media post Wednesday evening. Mamdani’s campaign confirmed the meeting. “As is customary for an incoming mayoral administration, the Mayor-elect plans to meet with the President in Washington to discuss public safety, economic security and the affordability agenda that over one million New Yorkers voted for just two weeks ago,” Mamdani spokeswoman Dora Pekec said in a statement. Earlier in the week, Trump had signaled his intention to meet with Mamdani, telling reporters on Sunday night, “We’ll work something out.” Mamdani will be sworn in as New York’s first Muslim mayor on Jan. 1. Trump waded into the New York mayoral race by endorsing one of Mamdani’s opponents, former New York governor Andrew M. Cuomo – a Democrat who ran as an independent. The president has kept up a relentless line of attack on Mamdani over his policy positions, which include free city bus services, freezing rent on rent-stabilized apartments, launching city-owned grocery stores and free early child care. Ahead of the mayoral election, Trump also threatened to cut funding to New York and “take over” the city in the event of a Mamdani victory. Trump wields considerable influence over federal dollars going to New York City, where the 2026 operating budget relies on $7.4 billion in federal funding, The Washington Post has reported. Previously, Trump threatened to arrest Mamdani if he were to block Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids in New York. He has variously called Mamdani “terrible,” “bad news” and a “total nutjob.” Mamdani has also faced a barrage of Islamophobic attacks and baseless questions about his citizenship status from some Trump supporters and Republican lawmakers – including from Rep. Andrew Ogles (R-Tennessee), who referred to Mamdani as “little muhammad,” called for him to be deported and asked the Justice Department to investigate him earlier this year. Mamdani was born in Kampala, Uganda, to parents of Indian origin. The family moved to New York City when Mamdani was 7, and he became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2018. Mamdani has not backed down in the face of Trump’s insults and threats. In his victory speech, Mamdani said New York can become a model for how to defeat Trump “by dismantling the very conditions that allowed him to accumulate power.” “So, Donald Trump, since I know you’re watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up,” he said. He has been a vocal critic of the Trump administration’s agenda, especially an immigration crackdown that has targeted Democratic-led cities. In his first news conference after being elected, Mamdani said he would address the “twin crises” of “an authoritarian administration and an affordability crisis.” Recently, Mamdani said he would contact the White House as he prepares to take office, emphasizing his responsibility to work collaboratively, even with political adversaries. “I’ll say that I’m here to work for the benefit of everyone who calls the city home, and that wherever there is a possibility for working together toward that end, I’m ready,” Mamdani told NBC New York last week. “And if it’s to the expense of those New Yorkers, I will fight it.” Stay informed and connected — subscribe to The Philadelphia Tribune NOW! ‘I hate you!’ MAGA melts down at GOP mayoral candidate after Dem victory
Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani secured a decisive victory Tuesday night in the New York City mayoral election. Surprisingly, much of the anger from MAGA supporters has not been directed at Mamdani, the progressive candidate, but rather at his Republican opponent.
Former Republican Congressman George Santos, who was recently released from prison after being pardoned by President Donald Trump, took to social media platform X to express his fury. In a post, Santos wrote, “F- you Curtis Sliwa! I HATE YOU, your dumb wife, that stupid Beret of yours and all your f cats!”
Mamdani faced off against former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, the lone Republican candidate. According to unofficial election results, Mamdani received 50.4% of the vote, Cuomo secured 41.6%, and Sliwa garnered 7.1%.
Many MAGA supporters accuse Sliwa of acting as a spoiler by siphoning votes away from Cuomo, who polls suggested had the best chance to defeat Mamdani. However, analysis of the unofficial results indicates that even if every Sliwa voter had cast their ballot for Cuomo, Mamdani would still have emerged victorious.
Despite this, MAGA loyalists have not held back their contempt toward Sliwa following the election. Many have effectively shunned him from the Republican Party. X user “Johnny MAGA,” who has amassed more than 260,000 followers, declared, “Never want to hear from Curtis Sliwa again.”
Pro-Trump sports broadcaster Charly Arnolt, with an estimated net worth of $2 million, expressed hopes that Sliwa would be permanently disgraced in New York City. Arnolt wrote on X, “I truly hope Curtis Sliwa is shunned in NYC. He is a disgrace, a coward and a traitor and should no longer be welcome to walk the streets he claimed to support.”
The tension surrounding Sliwa’s role even spilled over into Cuomo’s election watch party Tuesday night. A video circulated showing an attendee shouting profanities directed at Sliwa: “Curtis Sliwa threw this election, shame on you, you’re a scumbag, you will never be loved in New York City ever again!”

New York City’s mayoral election: Letters to the Editor — Nov. 4, 2025
The Issue: New York City’s Mayoral Election Sparks Heated Debate
Polls currently show Zohran Mamdani in the lead as New Yorkers prepare to choose their next mayor. It is astonishing to some that the city is on the verge of electing Mamdani, who critics label as a communist and terrorist sympathizer, accusing him of being pro-crime, anti-American, antisemitic, and anti-Italian (“Turnout set for record high, giving Cuo edge,” Nov. 3).
His policies, opponents argue, have failed wherever they have been tried in the past. They question whether this “child of privilege,” who has never held a job in the private sector, truly possesses a magic formula to make them work now. As one voice reminds us, our founders warned that the greatest threat to the country is an uninformed electorate—and many feel that is precisely where we are today.
— Joseph Paino, Manhattan
Another cautionary voice urges voters, especially Gen Z, to be careful what they wish for. They recommend speaking with Cuban immigrants to understand the realities that might come with Mamdani’s leadership. Many Cubans fled their country desperate to escape communism, and they emphasize that wealthier politicians who preach equality often do so without understanding or experiencing the hardships faced by ordinary people. The warning is clear:
“There is only one thing worse than a communist running this city, and that is a communist who does not know what he’s doing.”
— Joanne Passero, Forest Hills
From Staten Island, where the vote traditionally favors Republicans, comes a plea to consider the consequences carefully. While acknowledging incumbent Andrew Cuomo’s flaws, some stress that a vote for Curtis Sliwa, rather than Cuomo, would lead to unacceptable outcomes. In their view, Cuomo is the only candidate capable of preventing what they describe as a mayor who is “an antisemitic lunatic.”
— Rob Feuerstein, Staten Island
Many New Yorkers agree that this election has never been more critical. Critics describe Mamdani as a wealthy individual who has never worked a day in his life and demonstrate open hostility toward Jews and America. Cuomo is seen by some as an arrogant failure responsible for mishandling the COVID-19 crisis and accusations of inappropriate conduct. Meanwhile, supporters highlight Curtis Sliwa’s four decades of public service at his own expense, emphasizing that he has concrete plans to improve the city. For these voters, a Sliwa vote represents hope for positive change.
— D. V. Leavy, Middle Village
Support for Sliwa is not unanimous, however. One Bronx resident compares Sliwa’s recent conduct to that of a spoiled child refusing to accept an umpire’s call, leading to his team forfeiting a championship—urging Sliwa to resign and support Cuomo instead.
— Tom McBride, The Bronx
A New Jersey voter weighs in, noting that while Mamdani’s followers imagine a “day of reckoning” with promises of free benefits, the reality under Cuomo has been very different. The frustration over Cuomo’s failure to accept his primary loss and Sliwa’s chances has led them to dub the coming election day as a “day of ‘wreck’-oning.”
— Storm Destro, Bayonne, NJ
To Republicans living in New York City, there is an acknowledgment of the usual feelings of helplessness during elections. Despite reluctance to compromise principles, some argue the stakes are too high to let a socialist propagandist assume the mayor’s office. While not explicitly endorsing a candidate, the sentiment is clear: rejecting Mamdani is essential for the city’s future.
— Bo Madden, Jupiter, Fla.
Finally, a voice from Lakewood, New Jersey, draws wisdom from the popular TV show “Rhoda,” reminding New Yorkers that this election may be their last chance to choose wisely:
“Hey, New York, this is your last chance!”
They warn: Mamdani will destroy the city, and those endorsing him remain indifferent to the everyday lives of residents once they retreat to their gated homes guarded by security.
— Joe Tama, Lakewood, NJ

92-year-old Holocaust survivor votes for first time ever — to back Cuomo to stop Mamdani
A 92-year-old Holocaust survivor in The Bronx recently voted for the first time ever, casting a ballot for mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo in an effort to stop front-runner Zohran Mamdani.
“I’ve never voted before. I’m voting because I believe that Mamdani is an antisemite with dangerous fiscal policies,” Galina Guterman told The Post, speaking through a Russian interpreter after voting at the Riverdale YMCA. “We don’t trust him,” she added of Democratic Socialist Mamdani. “He has not proven to be the person that cares about everyone and cares about me.”
As a child, Guterman fled to Siberia after the Nazis invaded Russia. She remained in Russia after the war and later became a pathologist. She said heavy-handed socialist policies prompted her and her family to flee the former Soviet Union in the early 1990s. A summer home she owned just outside of Moscow was torched by an arsonist in what her family describes as a case of antisemitism.
“When I listen to what [Mamdani] says about ‘globalize the intifada,’ that is not kind-hearted,” Guterman said.
Mamdani supports the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel and has called for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a war criminal. He has maintained that he is not an antisemite for promoting Palestinian rights and opposing what he describes as “genocide” in Gaza.
The Democratic front-runner has since discouraged the use of the phrase “globalize the intifada,” a rallying cry many interpret as a call for violence against Jews.
Despite this, Guterman believes Mamdani poses too great a risk. “Cuomo is just what the city needs,” she said. “Cuomo is trustworthy, real and honest. Cuomo is someone I trust. He is a good person, and he’s honest.”

Amy Mek: TikTok, the “Battlefield for Jihadi Propaganda”
The Chinese Communist Party reportedly elevated videos of Zohran Mamdani in the run-up to the election as a strategy to lure in younger voters. According to Amy Mek of the RAIR Foundation, these individuals are not merely influencers but represent “a battlefield for Jihadi propaganda.”
The New York Post has also confirmed that TikTok functions as a psychological operation. Mek highlights the words of British agitator Sami Hamdi, who, before being seized by ICE, stood inside a Muslim Brotherhood-linked MAS mosque in Staten Island and praised TikTok from the pulpit as a divine tool designed to rewire American opinion in Islam’s favor. He said, “There is a relentless stream on TikTok. May Allah bless and preserve TikTok. As a result of TikTok the American population are seeing the reality.”
Hamdi’s blessing of TikTok stems from his belief that it is the only system powerful enough to control the American mind at scale. He went on to mock Congress with the “Singapore CEO” line, openly praying that U.S. lawmakers remain ignorant enough to think TikTok is harmless simply because its public face is Singaporean. Meanwhile, it is widely known that:
– ByteDance is China-controlled, and
– The algorithm is considered a restricted export by China.
Hamdi does not deny TikTok is a weapon; rather, he is thanking God that America is too weak to disarm it, Mek explains.
Reading this, it raises concerns about the Chinese audience in Beijing who follow the Sentinel. At one point, there were hundreds of followers in a single day; now, that number has dwindled to just a dozen or two. Regardless, this trend cannot be seen as a positive development.

‘Not A Hindu’: Zohran Mamdani Faces Flak For Visiting Temple In Shoes During New York City Mayoral Poll Campaign
**Mumbai:** Nearly a month before the New York City mayoral elections, Indian-American politician Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic candidate, found himself at the center of a controversy following his visit to temples in the city.
Mamdani has faced criticism online after a picture surfaced showing him wearing shoes inside a temple. Interestingly, others in the same photo were barefoot. The image is reportedly from the Sri Maha Vallabha Ganapati Devasthanam temple in New York City. Ahead of the mayoral polls, Mamdani visited two temples in the city as part of his campaign.
“I’m proud of my Hindu heritage, I’m proud to be someone who would be the first Muslim mayor of this city, and I’m proud to hold all of those things together,” Mamdani told NepYork, a New York-based news portal.
He added, “I am proud that I would be the first Indian-American mayor of this city. I am proud of the fact that my mother’s family is Hindu. And I grew up with a keen understanding, whilst myself being a Muslim, what Hinduism means. The stories that I learned, the tradition, the faith, the practices.”
### Netizens’ Reactions
The images sparked strong reactions on social media, with many criticizing Mamdani for wearing shoes inside the temple.
“Zohran Mamdani is not a Hindu. He may not have known that we do not wear shoes inside the temple. He clearly does not want to follow others who are with him and are not wearing shoes. It was the responsibility of this photo-op seeking group to demand he takes off his shoes and respects Hindu tradition and faith at least inside a temple,” wrote prominent columnist Sunanda Vashist.
Another user commented, “Comparing the group photo of Zohran Mamdani & others in Flushing temple with the below picture, one can easily understand that he was allowed to go deep inside the @nyganeshtemple with shoes. Neither the temple management seems to have appraised him of the Hindu temple customs, nor did he bother to ask and understand.”
However, some users pointed out that the location where Mamdani was standing was outside the temple proper. One X user noted, “You might not be a Hindu if you didn’t know that the dwaja stambha is outside of the temple.”
### Who Is Zohran Mamdani?
Zohran Mamdani gained significant attention earlier this year after winning the Democratic mayoral primary, defeating veteran politician Andrew Cuomo.
Born in Uganda to Indian filmmaker Mira Nair and academic Mahmood Mamdani, Zohran moved to New York at the age of seven. He became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2018 and recently married a Syrian artist.
Before entering politics, Mamdani worked as a housing counselor, assisting low-income families in fighting eviction. In 2020, he was elected to the New York State Assembly, where he identifies as a “democratic socialist.”
As the mayoral race approaches, all eyes remain on Mamdani and how he navigates both his campaign and cultural expectations.
