He stated, “If the animosity bordering on enmity between the Sanatan Sanstha and the applicants is considered, then the apprehension raised by the petitioners in their pleas are reasonable and genuine.” The judge added that “the command of dictate of justice would be better saved if the suits are transferred from the court at Goa to a court in Maharashtra.”

Consequently, the court ordered the transfer of these defamation suits to a court in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, “in the interest of justice.” However, at Sanatan Sanstha’s request, the High Court stayed the operation of its order for six weeks.

In support of its ruling, the court referred to the findings from the 2013 murder trial of Dr. Narendra Dabholkar. The Pune sessions court had convicted two individuals for their involvement in the killing and noted that Sanatan Sanstha and affiliated groups had strongly opposed Dabholkar’s anti-superstition campaigns. Prosecution witnesses also established connections between the accused and the Sanstha.

Justice Jamadar emphasized that the sessions court had found “reliable evidence” of Sanatan Sanstha’s opposition to Dabholkar. Jenna Bush Hager opened up about a major cause of tension with her dad, former president George W. Bush, during her younger years.

“There was a period of time when I made bad grades,” the TV host revealed during Friday’s episode of *Today With Jenna & Friends*. When guest co-host Sheinelle Jones appeared skeptical, Hager doubled down, saying, “They were bad.”

Jones then asked the mother of three how her parents, George and Laura Bush, would handle it.

“My dad would sit with me at that kitchen table and try to teach me math, and we’d get in big fights and I’d cry myself to sleep,” Hager, now 43, laughed.

Jones called the confession relatable, adding that she thinks it’s typical of kitchen tables all over the country at night.

Hager did not elaborate on exactly when the kitchen table meltdowns occurred, but she and her fraternal twin sister, Barbara, were 19 when their father’s first term as president began in 2001.

Hager married her husband, Henry, in 2008, and they have since welcomed three children: Mila, 12, Poppy, 10, and Hal, 6.

Despite the past arguments, Hager’s relationship with her father, now 79, remains strong.

In September 2024, she admitted that she called the former president in tears over the news that her former co-host Hoda Kotb would be leaving the show after 26 years with NBC.

“I don’t know if you’re embarrassed to say this or not, but I think that we should [talk about how] you called your dad,” Kotb recalled at the time, referencing Hager landing the co-hosting job in 2019. “And I remember when you first started working together with me, you were afraid, so she called her dad.”

Hager jumped in, recalling that George was happy for her but jokingly reminded her that NBC veteran Kotb was the star.

“Then I called him last night,” Hager divulged. “At first, he thought something really awful [happened], like I lost a loved one, because of how emotional I was.”

Hager continued, recalling how her father comforted and encouraged her.

“And then, he said, ‘Oh, she’s leaving, because it’s time, and you’re going to be fine. It’s your turn. It’s OK.’”

Just hours after her video comparing former Indian president Abdul Kalam to Al Qaeda terrorist Osama Bin Laden went viral, Ruta Awhad, wife of Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) MLA Jitendra Awhad, sought to clarify her statement.

As reported by news agency ANI, Awhad blamed editing for her statements being taken out of context. Regarding her statement urging people to read Osama Bin Laden’s autobiography, she said that she was encouraging youngsters to take their minds off mobile phones and read books.

“…Nobody is good or bad by birth but he became so bad…” she said, as quoted by ANI.

### What Did Ruta Awhad Say Previously?

Awhad’s video created quite a stir. In the clip, she can be heard saying in Hindi:
“Read the biography of Osama Bin Laden. Just like APJ Abdul Kalam became Kalam Saheb, Osama became a terrorist. But why did he become a terrorist? He was not born one. Society made him one. He became a terrorist out of frustration.”

The BJP went on the offensive following Ruta Awhad’s comment. Party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla accused the INDIA alliance of having a ‘soft corner’ for terrorists.

A day after ABC lifted the suspension order on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, several local TV stations chose not to broadcast the program, citing its insensitivity. According to the BBC, Nexstar and Sinclair—which together operate dozens of ABC-affiliated stations—announced they would continue to replace the show with regular programming on Tuesday.

Sinclair’s vice-chairman, Jason Smith, stated, “Mr. Kimmel’s remarks were inappropriate and deeply insensitive at a critical moment for our country.”

The late-night talk show was abruptly pulled last week after Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chair Brendan Carr and affiliate networks threatened ABC in response to Kimmel’s comments during a monologue about the MAGA movement’s reaction to Charlie Kirk’s assassination attempt.

This decision sparked a debate between supporters of former President Donald Trump’s administration and advocates of Kimmel regarding government interference and freedom of speech.
