Broncos’ Pat Bryant carted off after scary hit vs. Jaguars

In a clash between two AFC-leading teams, the Denver Broncos fell 34-20 to the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars. As the race for the AFC’s top seed heats up, the Broncos’ loss narrows their advantage for that coveted No. 1 spot to just one game, with the Jaguars now holding the tiebreaker.

Adding to Denver’s challenges, the team sustained a significant blow when rookie wide receiver Pat Bryant exited the game. “#Broncos WR Pat Bryant was loaded directly into an ambulance and left the stadium,” reported Palmer.

Bryant has had a solid rookie season so far, recording 22 receptions for 306 yards and one touchdown. The third-round pick made an impact during Sunday’s game as well, catching five passes for 42 yards. Now, the Broncos will have to try and maintain their hold on the AFC’s top seed without him, at least for the time being.

When will Denver know more about Bryant’s condition, and how will his injury impact their preparation for the season’s final two weeks? These questions loom large as the team looks ahead.

**Broncos Look to Rebound from Tough Sunday at Mile High**

Sunday’s loss stings in multiple ways. The Broncos’ grip on the top seed is now more tenuous than ever. “All of the Broncos around Pat Bryant as he’s loaded onto the cart,” reported Stevens shortly after the hit, capturing the somber mood following the injury.

As the Broncos regroup, their focus will be on bouncing back and securing their position at the top of the AFC heading into the final stretch of the season.

UCF needs second-half heroics to push past Oklahoma State in home finale

It all began when a few fans climbed to the top of the north side of Acrisure Bounce House Stadium during the second quarter of UCF’s home finale against Oklahoma State. More fans soon joined them, taking off their shirts and waving them defiantly. What started as a small group quickly turned into a wave of shirtless supporters. The trend had taken hold in Orlando and was in full swing on Saturday afternoon. Whatever the cause, this display ignited a spark in a struggling UCF team as the Knights rallied to secure a 17-14 win over the Cowboys on Senior Day. Kicker Noe Ruelas connected on a 34-yard field goal with 57 seconds left for the win. Safety Braeden Marshall intercepted Oklahoma State quarterback Zane Flores to seal the win for the Knights. UCF (5-6, 2-7 Big 12) snapped a three-game losing streak while moving one game closer to being bowl eligible for the first time since the 2023 season. The victory is also the 40th career win for Scott Frost in 8 seasons. Oklahoma State (1-10, 0-8 Big 12) did not resemble a team ranked No. 122 in total offense as the Cowboys efficiently moved down the field on their opening possession. Flores connected with receiver Gavin Freeman in the flat for a 5-yard touchdown, giving them a quick 7-0 lead. It was the third time in the last four games that UCF allowed a touchdown on the opponent’s opening possession. The Knights’ opening possession didn’t go as planned, as pre-snap penalties continued to be a downfall for the team. A false start penalty turned what could have been a manageable 4th-and-1 into a challenging 4th-and-6, ultimately forcing UCF to punt instead of seizing the opportunity to go for it. The defense stepped up on OSU’s next possession, stopping the Cowboys on a 4th-and-1 at the UCF 39 and forcing a turnover on downs. But quarterback Tayven Jackson’s pass to Carl Jenkins Jr. was tipped and intercepted by Oklahoma State cornerback Cam Smith. It was Jackson’s seventh interception of the season and the fifth consecutive game in which he’s thrown a pick. UCF failed to score in the first quarter for the sixth time this season, trailing 7-0. Oklahoma State tacked on an additional touchdown late in the second quarter as Flores scampered six yards into the end zone with 50 seconds left in the half. Jackson was intercepted for the second time on UCF’s next possession as the Knights went into the half scoreless for the first time since the season opener against Jacksonville State on Aug. 28. The redshirt junior redeemed himself a bit to start the second half, finding tight end Dylan Wade wide open racing down the sideline for an 83-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 14-7. It was the longest touchdown pass of the season for the Knights and the second straight game with a touchdown for Wade. It was a back-and-forth affair after that, as both teams struggled to get much going offensively. UCF drove inside Oklahoma State territory, getting to the Cowboys’ 2. But facing a 4th-and-2, Jackson found Wade for his second touchdown of the game, tying things up at 14 apiece with 9: 12 left. It’s been a rough month for UCF. The Knights entered this weekend averaging just 13 points per game in November, scoring just four touchdowns over those three games. On defense, UCF was allowing 36 points per game and 12 touchdowns. UCF wraps up the regular season on the road with a trip to face No. 12 BYU in Provo, Utah, next Saturday. It’s the first time the Knights have ended a season away from Orlando since the 2022 campaign.

Justin Herbert and Chargers thrashed by Jaguars in worst loss of the Jim Harbaugh era

The Chargers didn’t have to worry about another historic comeback this time. The Jacksonville Jaguars left no room for doubt in a dominant performance, handing the Chargers a 35-6 defeat under blue skies at EverBank Stadium.

Unable to contain Jacksonville’s powerful ground game or its relentless pass rush, the Chargers offered little resistance. This marked the worst loss of Jim Harbaugh’s 1½ seasons with the Chargers and the team’s most lopsided defeat since the Raiders thrashed them 63-21 on December 14, 2023.

The Chargers struggled to find any rhythm, mustering only a pair of field goals while the Jaguars looked every bit like playoff contenders—even though Jacksonville had lost three of its previous four games coming into this matchup.

Jacksonville dominated on the ground, running for 192 yards compared to the Chargers’ meager 42. They also controlled the clock, winning the time-of-possession battle by nearly 16 minutes.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert took a beating throughout the contest. Despite Jacksonville entering the game tied for last in sacks, Herbert faced heavy pressure on most of his drop-backs. His offensive line woes were fully exposed as he was sacked three times, and he even spent some time in the blue medical tent after taking a particularly hard hit.

Herbert was limited to just 81 passing yards with one interception, as three starters from the Jaguars’ secondary were notably absent but didn’t seem to impact Jacksonville’s defensive dominance. The Chargers’ offense sputtered in the second half, gaining a total of only five yards in their first three possessions after halftime.

With the game already decided, backup quarterback Trey Lance replaced Herbert in the fourth quarter. The Chargers pulled most of their starters with 11 minutes remaining, conceding the match.

This game took place in Jacksonville—where three years ago the Chargers famously blew a 27-point lead in a first-round playoff loss to the Jaguars.

Sunday’s first half was forgettable for the Chargers, who trailed 14-6 at the break. Their biggest concern was Herbert’s health. On a crucial fourth-down play with just 29 seconds left in the half, Herbert was slammed to the turf despite the play being whistled dead due to left tackle Trevor Penning being lined up improperly. Jaguars defensive end B.J. Green raced around the edge and delivered a punishing hit on the star quarterback.

The Chargers didn’t get the benefit of a roughing-the-passer call, as the penalties were offsetting. Herbert headed to the blue medical tent while Lance began warming up on the sideline.

Running back Kimani Vidal, who was promoted from the practice squad earlier this season after injuries sidelined the team’s top two backs, spent much of the first half on the sideline with a leg injury. To fill the void, the Chargers promoted two more running backs from the practice squad.

At the heart of the Chargers’ struggles was their offensive line. Penning, acquired in a trade with New Orleans just two weeks ago, made his debut as the starting left tackle. Unfortunately, like the rest of the team, he struggled mightily throughout the game.

Jaguars vs. Chargers: Week 11 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em

If you have any Jacksonville Jaguars players on your fantasy football team, it’s important to know who to start and who to sit for Week 11, especially with their matchup against the LA Chargers. Let’s take a closer look.

**Start: RB Travis Etienne**
Etienne has had a strong season so far, totaling 656 rushing yards at an impressive 4.9 yards per carry. The Jaguars will likely lean into the run game to help open up their passing attack. This strategy plays well against the Chargers’ defense, which has been allowing 4.9 yards per rush on the season—ranking 26th in the league. Expect Etienne to be a focal point in the offense and a reliable fantasy option this week.

**Sit: WR Dyami Brown**
Brown’s role within the Jaguars offense appears to be diminishing. Last week in Houston, he played just 23 offensive snaps, down significantly from 48 snaps the week prior. With the recent addition of Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington continuing to establish themselves as key offensive weapons, Brown may find himself on the outside looking in when it comes to consistent playing time. It’s advisable to sit him this week.

**Start: WR Parker Washington**
Brian Thomas Jr. is currently questionable for Week 11, and with Meyers still getting acclimated to the offense, Washington’s role remains steady and dependable. When Washington gets the ball in his hands, good things tend to happen. Additionally, he has the potential to make a big impact on special teams, possibly even returning another punt for a touchdown. Washington is a solid start for your fantasy lineup this week.

Keep these recommendations in mind when setting your lineup for Week 11 to maximize your fantasy points with Jaguars players!

NFL Sends Notice About Texans’ All-Pro Playmaker Before Titans Game

The Houston Texans received another stellar performance from former first-round draft pick and starting cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. in Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Stingley finished the contest with 2 total tackles and 2 pass deflections in the 36-29 comeback victory. He also made an eye-popping interception that significantly impacted the game.

### NFL Sends Message on Texans CB Derek Stingley Jr.

The Texans selected Stingley with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2022 draft. Since then, he has quickly established himself as one of the league’s top defensive backs, earning his first Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro honors in 2024. In March, Stingley signed a three-year, $90 million contract extension—an investment justified by plays like his recent one-handed interception.

The NFL’s official X handle acknowledged the moment, posting on November 11:
“Derek Stingley’s one-handed interception flipped the momentum for the Texans [triumphant emoji].”

So far this season, Stingley has compiled 21 total stops, 10 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions. His crucial interception came at a pivotal time, halting the Jaguars from extending their 20-10 halftime lead. Although Jacksonville scored 9 more points after that, the Texans answered on the scoreboard to stay in the game. Thanks to Stingley—whom Next Gen Stats credited with allowing only 1 reception for 9 yards on four targets— the Jaguars failed to score again.

### Derek Stingley Takes Victory Lap

Stingley, who has garnered Defensive Player of the Year attention and debuted at No. 18 on the NFL’s Top 100 list for 2025, was clearly proud of his performance during the Texans’ comeback win. He shared messages from fellow NFL players who were in awe of his interception.

“Holy F!” exclaimed “Corner Suite Podcast” host and former Texans DB Steven Nelson on X (November 9). “Sting man [checkmark emoji].”

Fellow NFL cornerback Kelvin Joseph posted a series of fire emojis tagging Stingley, signaling his admiration.

Former Los Angeles Chargers defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko praised Stingley highly on X, sharing the interception clip and saying:
“There is nobody in Derek Stingley’s realm right now as a cornerback in the NFL. He has no peers.”

According to Pro Football Reference, Stingley is allowing a career-best 41.9% completion rate on 43 targets in his coverage this season. This marks the best completion percentage allowed among all defenders who have faced at least as many targets, per Stathead.

### Derek Stingley Gets Honest About Head-Turning Interception

Speaking candidly about the moment and the roaring home crowd celebration, Stingley told Brian “Big Sarge” Barefield after the game on November 9:
“I was just looking like, ‘Oh, my God!’ The stadium, going crazy. Everybody screaming. Nah, it was crazy.”

The Texans were exacting revenge for their Week 3 loss to the Jaguars, doing so without their starting quarterback C. J. Stroud. Stingley’s timely play helped keep hope alive while the Texans’ offense found its footing.

Teammate and fellow cornerback Kamari Lassiter praised Stingley’s athleticism and instincts:
“He’s one of the greatest players I ever played with. 1-of-1. Go out there, dive, undercut the route, one-hand snag it. I didn’t get to see it because I was covered on the other side. But once I saw the replay, I’m like, ‘Bro, you gotta chill out, bro. You gotta chill out.’”

Derek Stingley Jr. continues to demonstrate why he is a cornerstone of the Texans’ defense and one of the NFL’s elite cornerbacks.

Texans Add Versatile Veteran to Roster Ahead of Showdown Against Jaguars

The Houston Texans continued their roster shuffle ahead of their Week 10 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, focusing primarily on their injury-depleted secondary. To bolster their defensive backfield, the Texans will rely on veteran Myles Bryant, a versatile player with six NFL seasons under his belt.

### Texans Elevate Myles Bryant From Practice Squad for Jaguars Game

Bryant, now in his second season with the Texans, has been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for the third time this season, according to league sources. KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson reported on November 8 that Bryant’s versatility makes him a valuable asset, as he has experience playing nickel, safety, and outside corner positions.

With starting nickel corner Jalen Pitre sidelined due to a concussion, Bryant is expected to see significant playing time. The Texans plan to deploy their base 4-3 defense frequently, with Bryant stepping in during nickel situations.

In addition to this move, the Texans placed rookie third-round pick Jaylin Smith on injured reserve, adding to the challenges faced by the team’s secondary.

### Bryant’s Career and Contribution

Myles Bryant entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots in 2020. Over his career, he has compiled 214 total tackles, four interceptions, three forced fumbles, two sacks, and one recovery. His experience and versatility make him a valuable depth piece for the Texans as they navigate multiple injuries.

Meanwhile, the Texans have already made changes to their safety group this season. They released offseason trade acquisition C.J. Gardner-Johnson and brought in former Tampa Bay Buccaneers second-round pick M.J. Stewart (2018) as his replacement. Since Gardner-Johnson’s departure, the Texans’ defense has performed well, but injuries to Bryant and Stewart could test their depth moving forward.

### Texans Bring Back UDFA Cornerback Alijah Huzzie

Earlier in the week, the Texans made additional moves in the secondary. Rookie cornerback Alijah Huzzie was initially cut to make room for former Las Vegas Raiders first-round pick Damon Arnette on the 53-man roster. However, Huzzie was quickly re-signed to the practice squad after clearing waivers.

Wilson reported on November 7 that the Texans re-signed Huzzie, who had been activated from the Reserve/Non-Football Injury (NFI) list on November 5. The undrafted rookie out of North Carolina has yet to appear in a game this season but remains part of the team’s depth chart.

### Texans Navigating Significant Injury Concerns

The Texans face several notable injuries as they prepare for the Jaguars. Besides Jalen Pitre’s concussion, the team is dealing with injuries to offensive linemen Ed Ingram and Tytus Howard, kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn, and starting quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Davis Mills is set to start in place of Stroud, while Blake Fisher and Juice Scruggs will fill in for Howard and Ingram, respectively. To fill the kicker position left vacant by Fairbairn, the Texans signed veteran and former Jaguars kicker Matthew Wright.

With these roster adjustments, the Texans aim to maintain competitive depth to overcome their injury challenges and secure a win in Week 10 against Jacksonville.

‘Heartbreaking’: Louisville business destroyed, employees missing after UPS plane crash

Sean Garber had just boarded a plane in Jacksonville, Florida, when the call came in from his CFO at Grade A Auto Parts and Recycling in Louisville. She was crying, screaming, rushing a flurry of explanations through the phone as she tried to describe the scene before her to Garber, owner and CEO of Grade A.

An earthquake, a power outage, and the scrap metal office exploding. None of it made sense. When she turned the camera to FaceTime, Garber still couldn’t understand. A rising black cloud of smoke, flames everywhere, the sound of explosions coming through the phone’s tinny speakers.

“It wasn’t logical to even understand,” Garber said. “The images I was seeing—it would have to be a military bomb that created that.” But it wasn’t.

Just minutes before, UPS Flight 2976 had crashed while departing Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport on its way to Honolulu. The plane fell shortly after takeoff, hitting a petroleum recycling center and carving a path of destruction through an industrial zone near the airport, killing at least 13 people, including a young child, and injuring several others.

Three of Grade A’s employees are still unaccounted for as agencies work to search for and identify victims. Since his return to Louisville, Garber has been with his employees and the families of those still missing, saying many are still looking for answers.

“They want to bring closure,” Garber said. “They want to know have they found them? And if not, where are they?”

“With knowing that there’s this many unidentified bodies, it’s just weighing on them heavily,” Garber continued. “But I do know that the authorities are working diligently to figure it out.”

Garber said he hopes that results from DNA sampling tests will come back “any hour or any day now” and that families can receive the closure they’re seeking.

Garber was also proud of his employees and customers inside the business for their actions amid the chaos of the explosion. Someone threw a female employee out a window to save her from the flames once it was clear the exits were blocked. Another rescued a customer who had burns over 95% of his body, pulling him to safety, Garber said.

He recounted a story told by two managers: one saw the fireball and tackled the other to safety but panicked as the exits were blocked, only to be pulled to safety by the coworker he had just tackled.

“One person saved a life and then the person paid that back and helped and dragged him out through the fire and saved his life,” Garber said. “It’s indescribable.”

Although his focus is on his employees and their families at this time, seeing 20 years of his business and life in rubble was devastating not only for Garber but for those who depend on Grade A Auto Parts.

“To see it completely destroyed and unable to function going forward at this particular time is heartbreaking,” Garber said.

On Nov. 7, firms Whiteford Taylor & Preston and Peterson Law announced they would represent “several Kentucky families of the injured and deceased including Grade A Recycling, and its employees for damages sustained” during the crash, according to a release from the firms.

“It will take a long time to rebuild the lives and businesses impacted by the crash,” Garber said, asking the community to continue to support and show their love to those affected.

“It’s not just my company,” Garber said. “The whole Grade Lane—there’s multiple companies shut down, and they have employees too. So we as a community need to figure out how we can get everybody back to where they once were.”

Colts dealt disappointing DeForest Buckner injury update

The Indianapolis Colts had a strong trade deadline, adding a key piece to their defense. However, the team faced a setback on Friday, as star pass rusher DeForest Buckner will be sidelined for an extended period due to a neck injury.

According to NFL insider Ari Meirov, “The Colts are placing DT DeForest Buckner on IR with a neck injury. Very significant loss. He’s out at least four games.” The Colts officially confirmed the injury shortly afterward.

This is a major blow to the Colts’ defense, which currently ranks in the top 10 in sack percentage, according to Team Rankings. Head coach Shane Steichen revealed that Buckner sustained the neck injury during the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This marks the second significant injury in Buckner’s career; he previously missed five weeks last season due to an ankle injury. Over the course of his career, Buckner has missed a total of six games.

As the Colts prepare to travel to Germany for a matchup with the Atlanta Falcons, they will be without their best pass rusher. Buckner leads all Colts pass rushers with four sacks and has tallied 26 solo tackles so far this season.

Adding to the team’s defensive concerns, Tyquan Lewis, who ranks second on the team with three sacks, is currently dealing with a groin injury. This situation will likely require Kwity Paye, also with three sacks, to step up in Buckner’s absence.

With a 7-2 record, the Colts are entering a critical stretch as they aim to secure a playoff berth by winning the AFC South. Following their game in Germany against the Falcons, the team faces a challenging schedule:

– After their bye week, they travel to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs.
– Next, they will host the Houston Texans.
– Finally, they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road in Northern Florida.

By placing Buckner on injured reserve, his earliest eligible return is Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field. If he is unable to return then, his next opportunity will be the following week on Monday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Colts will need to hold the fort defensively until Buckner’s return as they navigate this difficult gauntlet in pursuit of a playoff spot.

Raiders’ Brock Bowers announces return from injury with 1-handed TD grab

All the questions about Brock Bowers’ readiness after returning from a knee injury on Sunday were quickly diminished when he caught an early touchdown for the Las Vegas Raiders against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Bowers had sat out the previous three games, which affected the Raiders’ already-thin offensive unit. The team had a bye week before hosting the Jaguars at Allegiant Stadium, giving Bowers extra time to recuperate. Fans wondered if he would be rusty after his extended time on the sidelines, especially since he had not played since Week 4.

However, the second-year tight end did not waste any time making his presence felt against Jacksonville. He scored on a seven-yard touchdown in the second quarter, giving the Raiders an early 6-0 lead. What made the play special was his one-handed catch before falling to the ground. Although it was initially ruled incomplete, a review showed that Bowers’ hip was in bounds, confirming the touchdown.

This score completed a 13-play, 95-yard drive by the Raiders and delighted the fans. It was a laudable play by the 22-year-old Bowers, demonstrating that he is not afraid to mix it up, even after recovering from a troubling injury.

Despite Bowers’ much-anticipated return, it wasn’t enough to power the Raiders to victory. Las Vegas lost to the Jaguars in a heartbreaker in overtime, 30-29, dropping their record to 2-6 and marking six losses in their last seven games.

Bowers finished the game with an impressive 12 receptions for 127 yards and three touchdowns. Notably, he extended his streak to 22 straight games with at least two receptions, making it the longest such streak in league history for a tight end starting a career.

Clearly, the Raiders cannot afford to lose Bowers, who was named to the All-Pro First Team and the Pro Bowl as a rookie. The 13th overall pick has been a gem for Las Vegas, and sustaining another injury would be a worst-case scenario for the team.

Looking ahead, the Raiders will aim to bounce back on Thursday when they face the Denver Broncos.

Mike McDaniel, Chris Grier are on termination watch

The Miami Dolphins may have changed the culture, but they definitely haven’t changed the results. The team is currently 1-6 through seven games of the 2025 season. Their latest performance—a 31-6 blowout loss to the previously 1-5 Cleveland Browns—could be the last straw for head coach Mike McDaniel, and possibly for general manager Chris Grier as well.

This disappointing loss comes just one week after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who threw three interceptions in Sunday’s game, publicly called out unnamed teammates for showing up late to or skipping player-only meetings.

According to a source speaking to Pro Football Talk (PFT), owner Stephen Ross entered the season intending to give the current coaching regime the entire year to turn things around. However, the inability to win games—aside from a Monday night victory over the still-winless New York Jets—might force Ross to make a change as soon as tomorrow.

Ross has a history of making midseason coaching changes. He previously fired Tony Sparano in 2011 after 13 games and Joe Philbin in 2015 after just four games.

If Miami decides to make a coaching change, potential interim replacements include associate head coach and running backs coach Eric Studesville, who was an interim head coach in Denver 15 years ago; quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator Darrell Bevell, who served as interim head coach in Jacksonville four years ago; and defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver.
