Roger Rabbit creator is working on more projects after claiming rights back from Disney, and he’s developing a live-action Jessica Rabbit movie

Roger Rabbit creator Gary K. Wolf has revealed plans for more projects in the series after reclaiming the rights to his legendary animated creation.

“I now have back the rights to all my characters, all my books. I can, basically, do my own Roger Rabbit projects,” Wolf told ImNotBad.com.

Previously, the movie rights were co-owned by Disney and Amblin, a partnership that helped bring 1988’s *Who Framed Roger Rabbit* to life. The film featured the cartoon rabbit teaming up with Bob Hoskins’ Eddie Valiant to investigate the murder of the head of the Acme Corporation.

From there, wacky hijinks ensued, showcasing a whole host of iconic characters. One notable moment included Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny sharing a scene together, a rare and memorable crossover.

Wolf, who wrote *Who Censored Roger Rabbit*, the novel on which the movie was based, discovered he could recover the rights thanks to a recent development. This move opens the door for new Roger Rabbit projects directly from the original creator.

Millie Bobby Brown Recounts Her Odd (But Logical In Retrospect) Stranger Things Audition

The countdown for Eleven’s final chapter is officially underway, and expectations are soaring for Season 5 of *Stranger Things*. The series is set to return on Wednesday, November 26, marking the beginning of the end for the beloved show. After nearly a decade, series star Millie Bobby Brown and her demogorgon-destroying friends will finally close the door on the Upside Down.

This monumental moment is significant for everyone involved, and it recently prompted Brown to reflect nostalgically on how it all began. In an interview with *Empire*, she recalled her first audition for Eleven, the character that would come to define much of her life.

“It must have been June or July [2015] when I screen-tested,” Brown said. “They flew me from London to L.A., and my seat number on the flight was 11. Then the floor of the hotel I was staying in was 11. It felt like a sign.”

During that first audition, Millie Bobby Brown was welcomed by producer Shawn Levy along with series creators Matt and Ross Duffer. “They gave me a cardboard box of clothes and were like, ‘Do whatever you feel like with this box of clothes but try to imagine that you don’t know what clothes are. You’ve never been exposed to them,’” she explained.

Brown was understandably puzzled by the unusual exercise and unsure where it would lead. “I was like, ‘What the hell is this weird acting exercise?!’ I didn’t know that was the character. I didn’t know anything about Eleven. I didn’t even know she had powers,” she admitted.

The Duffer Brothers didn’t take long to decide if Brown was the right fit for the lead role. By the next day, they made the life-changing call. “They said, ‘Millie, would you like to be our Eleven?’ and I just fell on the floor,” she recalled. “Then two or three months later, we moved to Atlanta and my hair was gone.”

Now, fans only have to wait and see what unfolds as *Stranger Things* draws to a close. Volume 1 of Season 5 will be released on November 26, followed by Volume 2 on December 25, with the finale premiering in theaters on December 31.

The journey of Eleven and her friends is nearing its thrilling conclusion — and the excitement couldn’t be higher.

Clayton Kershaw says Dodgers 2017 World Series loss to Astros has an ‘asterisk’

Very few players have exited the game the way Clayton Kershaw has. Fresh off helping the LA Dodgers win the World Series, Kershaw capped off a nearly two-decade career with the team. However, there is one thing he can’t let go of—and from his perspective, understandably so.

During an appearance on his teammate Mookie Betts’ podcast, *At Bat with Mookie Betts*, Kershaw expressed strong feelings that the Dodgers were unfairly treated in the 2017 World Series against the Houston Astros. While he didn’t put it quite so bluntly, his sentiment was clear: “There’s an asterisk on that one,” he said.

Kershaw was reflecting on the last Game 7 he pitched in a World Series, where the Dodgers lost 5-1, ultimately losing the championship. However, the legitimacy of the Astros’ win was called into question after it was revealed they had orchestrated an elaborate sign-stealing scheme. This scandal compromised their title, leading to sanctions against many involved personnel. According to the record books, the Astros defeated the Dodgers, but the controversy has lingered ever since.

This isn’t the first time Kershaw has spoken out about the issue. In 2023, he emphasized the need to distinguish the Astros’ sign-stealing from other teams that have also stolen signs.

Interestingly, during the 2017 World Series, Blue Jays slugger George Springer faced backlash from Dodgers fans—largely because he was named the World Series MVP.

### How the Dodgers Were Caught in the Web of Sign-Stealing by Other Teams

The 2017 scandal wasn’t the first time the Dodgers were victimized by sign-stealing in a high-stakes series. Back in 1951, when the Dodgers were still based in Brooklyn, they were locked in a fierce battle with the then-New York Giants.

The Giants mounted a remarkable comeback, erasing a 13.5-game deficit by winning 37 of their final 44 games to tie the Dodgers in the National League standings. This deadlock set up a three-game playoff.

On October 3, 1951, Bobby Thomson hit what became known as “The Shot Heard ‘Round the World,” securing the series win for the Giants. Years later, it was revealed the Giants had been using a sign-stealing system involving a telescope positioned in the back of the Polo Grounds.

As a result, many argue that the Giants effectively stole the pennant. However, history has shown this claim to be inconclusive, considering the Giants’ strong overall offensive performance throughout the season.

The lingering debates over these sign-stealing incidents highlight the complexities of fairness and legacy in baseball history—an issue that continues to resonate with players like Clayton Kershaw and fans alike.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Reflects on Connor Zilisch’s 2025 Xfinity Series Season After Championship Loss

Connor Zilisch’s 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign was one of the most dominant rookie seasons in recent years. The JR Motorsports driver captured 10 race victories and clinched the regular-season points title. Yet, despite his impressive performance, Zilisch fell short of the championship at Phoenix Raceway, where Jesse Love claimed the title.

### Earnhardt Jr. Credits Jesse Love and RCR’s Strong Performance

Following the race, JR Motorsports co-owner and NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. reflected on the team’s season and shared his thoughts on how things played out.

Earnhardt Jr. acknowledged Jesse Love’s speed and Richard Childress Racing’s preparation.

> “It’s easier to take because he beat you, and it wasn’t something,” Earnhardt Jr. said after the race. “Yeah, for sure. I mean, a little bit easier to get, this is the traditional way than having some spooky happen at the end.”

He continued,

> “I saw both in practice, and was, goodness gracious, man, they came loaded, ready. Gotta give them credit, man. They dialed him in good on the first run. They dialed him in and got him better, and he was the best when it counted.”

Despite the disappointment, Earnhardt Jr. expressed pride in Connor Zilisch and the team’s effort.

> “That’s tough to watch, but our guys worked really hard to do what they did,” he said. “I’m proud of them. I’m proud of all of our teams for working as hard as they did all year.”

He also spoke about the nature of the sport.

> “I’ve been in this a long time, and you go on the racetrack, you’re gonna be disappointed more often than you’ll be happy,” he said. “You gotta know what you’re signing up for coming here. This is the possibility of the results. So you certainly have to work harder and try to be in a better position.”

### A Message of Encouragement for Connor Zilisch

Earnhardt Jr. addressed Connor Zilisch’s emotions following the race, acknowledging that the young driver was understandably heartbroken.

> “Well, I don’t know if you can tell me much that will make it feel better tonight,” he said. “He is heartbroken, but there’ll be worse days at the racetrack for him. This ain’t a defining moment. There’ll be days and hard times in the future that’ll tower over moments like this.”

He reminded us that racing often teaches humility.

> “Unfortunately, because it’s a sport, man humbles you, and there are some tough moments in front of him,” Earnhardt Jr. added. “That’s all I can tell him, hey, this ain’t the worst day. It won’t be the worst. Don’t feel like that right now, but try to be proud.”

Earnhardt Jr. remains confident about Connor Zilisch’s career.

> “He may have a chance to run for a championship again down the road,” he said. “I wouldn’t want him to think that this was his only shot because you never know what might come up. But he’s a great kid, had a great year, and I was thankful to be part of it. We didn’t win the trophy, but I had more fun than ever as an owner, being involved hands-on with everything. So it’s a great year, and we’re looking forward to next year, ready to go to Daytona tomorrow.”

### Accepting the Outcome

Earnhardt Jr. reflected on NASCAR’s championship format, noting how it can lead to surprising results.

> “It’s hard for some people to reconcile the fact that Connor went well,” he said. “There’ve been years where guys have dominated and didn’t win the championship, even with the old format, one we all love, even that had its flaws. So it’s just the format. There are just ones we all prefer more than others.”

He added that he was prepared to accept any outcome before the race.

> “I was ready after my podcast on Tuesday when Jesse was there. I was ready to accept the outcome no matter what it was,” Earnhardt Jr. said. “Love this sport, love the Xfinity Series, and I love what we’ve been able to do here. I wanted to be a champion tonight, but we just were not. I have pride in Jesse Love and RCR and celebrate that. I’m proud and happy for Danny Lawrence and all those people over there at RCR; they’re like family to me.”

Connor Zilisch’s rookie season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series was a remarkable showcase of talent and determination. While the championship slipped away, the future looks bright for this young driver and the JR Motorsports team. Fans and insiders alike can look forward to seeing what’s next for Zilisch as he continues to build on a promising career.

Dak Prescott tries to put out fires after Jerry Jones’ controversial $100B gas bounty comments on fixing Cowboys’ defense

Dak Prescott has repeatedly come to the defense of Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones, and Thursday provided yet another example of his support.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Jones admitted that his priorities currently lie elsewhere, which has led to some neglect of the team’s roster. He stated, “There’s $100 billion present value with (natural) gas out there. That’s why I’m talking to you on the telephone rather than trying to fix our defense with the Dallas Cowboys.”

Unsurprisingly, this comment frustrated many fans. However, Prescott sought to clarify Jones’s intentions when asked about the remarks during practice ahead of Monday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. He said:

“I would just say the guy has never really lied about who he is or what he’s trying to do. Maybe in those five minutes is what he was alluding to, and having a chance at a $100 billion opportunity I think you might take five minutes as well to answer a call. Hopefully that’s what he means.”

Despite the distractions off the field, Prescott emphasized that the main focus remains on winning: “For us as players, we control what we can control. That doesn’t pertain to us right now.”

### Trade Deadline Outlook

With the NFL trade deadline only five days away, Prescott sees it as a prime opportunity for the Cowboys to improve their roster after a 3-4-1 start to the season. However, he acknowledged that trade decisions are not within his control.

“To say one position is where we need to go, or that, I’m not sure. Leave it to the guys who are in those talks and I’m sure making those decisions and working hard right now,” he said.

He added, “I will go back to what I said after the last game. I just encourage the guys in the locker room to do whatever they can in this time to shut that talk up. That’s just all of us looking in the mirror and trying to say ‘Where can I be better?’ and ‘How can I take advantage of this opportunity?’”

### Recent Trade Rumors

Several trade rumors have linked the Cowboys to star edge rushers Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson. However, according to NFL insider Jay Glazer, the Las Vegas Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals have rebuffed those respective trade inquiries.
