Dr. Martens’ chief executive officer Ije Nwokorie, who took the helm earlier this year, said on Thursday that the while the company is still in its “early days” of a turnaround, he is “happy” with the advances it is making in the business. The CEO added that this strategic progress, as well as the benefits from the cost action plan implemented last year and its continued focus on cost management, is “delivering a meaningful improvement” in the company’s financial performance including a continued reduction in net bank debt. In the first half of fiscal 2026, the U. K.-based footwear company noted that net revenue dipped 0. 8 percent on a reported basis to 322. 0 million pounds from 324. 6 million pounds the same period last year. noted that overall revenue growth was impacted by a focus on “improving the quality of revenue” by increasing full price mix and reducing clearance. Net debt for the first half was 302. 3 million pounds, down from 348. 7 million pounds in the first half of fiscal 2025. “While the marketplace remains uncertain and consumers are cautious, and our biggest trading weeks are ahead, we are confident in our plans for the year,” Nwokorie said. “I am laser-focused on execution and setting the business up for growth in the coming years.” Despite this confidence, shareholders remain concerned over the business, with shares for Dr. Martens down 13 percent on Thursday. By category, overall, pairs were down 1 percent to 4. 7 million, with DTC pairs down 3 percent driven by reduced clearance activity and wholesale pairs up 4 percent. Full price DTC pairs were up 6 percent, in line with the growth in full price DTC revenue. As a proportion of the first half of fiscal 2026 group revenue, boots accounted for 50 percent, shoes 30 percent, sandals 15 percent and bags and other items 5 percent. The company noted that the performance of shoes was driven by the Adrian tassel loafer, which saw pairs growth of 24 percent and the Adrian Black Polished Smooth was the number two bestselling overall product through DTC in the half. It also saw strong performances in the new Buzz shoe, the Mary Jane shoe, and the Lowell shoe. Boot pairs declined 17 percent in DTC or 9 percent overall in the first half, again impacted by the drive to increase full price mix. “As expected, we have seen continued softness in the performance of our iconic boots, namely the 1460 boot and the 2976 Chelsea boot, although the decline is now moderating and they remain amongst our top selling products,” the company noted. By channel, DTC revenue was down 1. 9 percent to 179. 5 million pounds in the first half, while wholesale was up 0. 6 percent to 142. 5 million pounds, as expected. Within DTC, retail revenue improved 3. 0 percent to 98. 2 million pounds and e-commerce was down 7. 3 percent to 81. 3 million pounds. By region, EMEA revenue was down 2. 3 percent to 158. 6 million pounds for the year while in APAC, revenue dipped 1. 9 percent to 46. 6 million pounds. In the Americas, revenue grew 1. 8 percent to 116. 8 million pounds. The company also noted that its spring/summer 2026 wholesale order books are “healthier year-on-year” with the Americas order book showing “good progression” indicating a positive shift in confidence among key accounts. The EMEA order book is showing an “encouraging breadth of product,” particularly in shoes, the company noted.

Glenn Close Is Unrecognizable in Sunrise on the Reaping Teaser Trailer
This book is a prequel to The Hunger Games and takes place 24 years prior to when readers first met Katniss Everdeen. The story opens on the morning of the reaping (the event where tributes from each district are chosen to compete) of the 50th Hunger Games (a. k. a. the Second Quarter Quell). “As the day dawns on the fiftieth annual Hunger Games, fear grips the districts of Panem,” the description on author Suzanne Collins’ website reads. “This year, in honor of the Quarter Quell, twice as many tributes will be taken from their homes. Back in District 12, Haymitch Abernathy is trying not to think too hard about his chances. All he cares about is making it through the day and being with the girl he loves.” Gracing the screen as fellow District 12 tribute Maysilee Donner is Mckenna Grace. Fans have watched the actress grow up onscreen through her appearances on the Disney sitcom Crash & Bernstein, the soap opera The Young and the Restless and the film Gifted (her performance earning her a Critics Choice Award). Also among her lengthy list of credits are movies like I, Tonya, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Annabelle Comes Homes and The Bad Seed. Mckenna has also acted on TV shows like The Haunting of Hill House and The Handmaid’s Tale (receiving an Emmy nod for the latter). While the late Philip Seymour Hoffman played Plutarch Heavensbee in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire as well as in parts one and two of Mockingjay, Jesse Plemons is taking on the role of the future Head Gamemaker and rebellion leader for this movie. And the actor isn’t playing games when it comes to his performances. Throughout his career, Jesse has earned an Oscar nomination for his role in The Power of the Dog as well as Emmy nods for his parts in Love & Death, Black Mirror and Fargo, where he met his longtime love Kirsten Dunst. His other credits include Killers of the Flower Moon, The Irishman, Battleship and Breaking Bad. Kelvin Harrison Jr. is taking on the part of Beetee, who’s not only the winner of the 34th Hunger Games but also the father of 50th Games tribute Ampert Latier. In previous Hunger Games movies, Jeffrey Wright performed the role. While fans have certainly seen Kelvin in movies and TV shows-such as Genius, Chevalier, Waves, Luce and It Comes at Night to name a few-they’ve also heard his voiceover work in animated films like Mufasa: The Lion King. Once you hear Maya Hawke is playing Wiress (a former Hunger Games winner, now District 12 mentor, played by Amanda Plummer in Catching Fire), you might get so excited you’ll feel like your world is turned upside down. The actress-who’s following in the famous footsteps of her parents Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke-has previously played Jo March in the TV adaptation of Little Women, Eleanor in Do Revenge, Anxiety in Inside Out 2 and, of course, Robin in Stranger Things. Originally played by the late Lynn Cohen in Catching Fire, the part of former-Hunger-Games-victor-turned-District-12-mentor Mags is now being portrayed by Lili Taylor. An Emmy nominee for her roles in American Crime and Six Feet Under, the actress has also appeared in The Conjuring, Mystic Pizza, Say Anything and I Shot Andy Warhol to name a few credits on a long list. Ralph Fiennes is ruling over Panem as its dictator President Snow, a role previously played by Tom Blyth in The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and the late Donald Sutherland in Catching Fire and both parts of Mockingjay. The actor is a three-time Oscar nominee-being recognized for his roles in Conclave, The English Patient and Schindler’s List-and a seven-time BAFTA contender, also receiving praise for his work in The Grand Budapest Hotel, Coriolanus, The Constant Gardener and The End Of The Affair. Plus, Ralph was up for an Emmy for his role in Bernard And Doris. The answer to who is playing Effie Trinket isn’t completely unknown. While Elizabeth Banks performed the part in previous Hunger Game movies, Elle Fanning is now stepping into the shoes of this character (who, in Sunrise on the Reaping, is a stylist for Haymitch Abernathy ahead of the 50th Games). First appearing on screen alongside sister Dakota Fanning in 2001’s I Am Sam, the actress has gone on to star in several more movies, including Maleficent, Somewhere, Super 8, The Beguiled and A Complete Unknown. On the TV side, Elle has acted in The Girl from Plainville as well as in The Great (earning an Emmy nomination for the latter). While Stanley Tucci portrayed Hunger Games host Caesar Flickerman in the previous films, the franchise has found his successor for the role in Kieran Culkin. After making his acting debut as a kid in brother Macaulay Culkin’s Home Alone, the actor went on to appear in movies like Father of the Bride, She’s All That and Igby Goes Down. And while Kieran took a break from the craft, he came back to star in movies and TV shows like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Infinity Baby, Succession and A Real Pain, which landed him his first Oscar. Glenn Close is taking on the mean-spirited energy of District 12 tributes’ escort Drusilla Sickle. Producer Nina Jacobs described Glenn as “a dream Drusilla” in a June 16 press release, adding, “She brings so much of her intellect and imagination to each role, creating characters who are unforgettable and iconic.” Prior to her recent casting, the actress has stunned in films like Fatal Attraction, The Wife, Guardians of the Galaxy and Hillbilly Elegy. Billy Porter slithered into the role of Magno Stift-Drusilla’s estranged husband and the District 12 tributes’ fashion designer-who often found inspiration for his looks in live reptiles. It was Billy’s award-winning role in Pose that struck Nina. (He earned Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Pray Tell in 2019.) “Billy is one of those rare performers who can dazzle and devastate in equal measure on stage and screen,” she shared in a June 16 press release. “He made an indelible impression on me when we worked together on Pose, both as an actor and a human being.” He has also starred in a number of projects, including American Horror Story, Cinderella and The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy.

LeBron James Comes Back In Victory Over Utah Jazz
LOS ANGELES-LeBron James had 11 points and 12 assists in the first game of his unprecedented 23rd NBA season, and Luka Doncic had 37 points and 10 assists in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 140-126 victory over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, November 18 at Crypto. com Arena. 40-year-old James made his season debut in the Lakers’ starting lineup and played 30 minutes after missing training camp and their first 14 games due to sciatica. James didn’t take long to find the flow: He put on a playmaking clinic in the second half, and Doncic scored 17 points in the third quarter while the Lakers pulled away from Utah. Austin Reaves added 26 points as the Lakers improved to 11-4 with their third straight victory. One of the leagues best NBA teams so far. James made a driving layup in the third quarter to extend his streak of double-digit scoring performances to a record 1, 293 games every game in which he has played since Jan. 6, 2007. The four-time NBA champion didn’t score again, but the Lakers moved comfortably ahead. Bronny James played the final 3: 33 and hit a 3-pointer. The Jazz and Lakers will play on Sunday in Utah.

Jaylen Brown, Celtics hold off James Harden, Clippers late to claim rare clutch win: 8 takeaways
The Celtics secured a hard-fought 121-118 victory on Sunday, benefiting from big performances by key contributors including Jaylen Brown and Payton Pritchard. Despite a spirited fourth-quarter push from James Harden and the Clippers, Boston held on for the win. Here are the key takeaways from the game.
### The Celtics Got a Clutch Win—Barely
The Celtics have struggled in clutch situations this season, and Sunday’s game was no exception. What should have been a comfortable win turned into a nail-biter in the closing seconds, mostly due to James Harden’s late-game heroics.
Harden scored 18 of his 37 points in the fourth quarter, all coming in the final 4:20. He made three 3-pointers and three free throws following a somewhat questionable 3-point foul call on Jordan Walsh. His final three-pointer trimmed the Celtics’ lead to just one point with three seconds left.
Several moments swung the game back in Boston’s favor:
– Derrick White and Payton Pritchard both hit clutch 3-pointers in the final seconds, keeping the Clippers at bay.
– With 14 seconds remaining, Pritchard brilliantly broke through the Clippers’ full-court press and found Jaylen Brown under the basket for a dunk that pushed the lead to five points.
– On the last play, the Clippers attempted a desperation heave: Kris Dunn threw a long pass to Ivica Zubac, who then found a streaking Harden. Harden’s shot rattled the rim and backboard but bounced out, sealing the Celtics’ win.
### Jaylen Brown Was Excellent
When the Celtics needed a leader to overcome their clutch-time issues, Jaylen Brown stepped up. He scored 33 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter. Although his overall shooting wasn’t particularly efficient (33 points on 33 shots, 1-for-7 from three, 4-for-7 from the free-throw line), Brown dominated from mid-range.
Brown is carving out his place alongside Celtics legends like Isaiah Thomas and Paul Pierce with his ability to create and score from the mid-range — even when defenses know where he wants to be. On the defensive end, Brown was equally impressive, pulling down 13 rebounds and playing tough defense.
Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla praised Brown after the game:
> “The only thing he cares about is winning. He’s finding a great balance of putting us in position to win, empowering his teammates, and doing what he needs to do in games for us to give us a shot.”
Brown acknowledged how his role has evolved throughout his career:
> “I’ve been a lockdown defender and scorer and catch-and-shoot guy, come off the bench. I feel like I’m an all-around player. This year is more of a challenge of your endurance. That’s it.”
### Derrick White Showed Promise
The first 13 games of the season presented a challenging transition for Derrick White into a larger role, but Sunday’s performance was encouraging. White finished with 22 points on 7-for-17 shooting, flirted with a triple-double (seven rebounds and nine assists), and blocked two shots. He was also 4-for-8 from beyond the arc.
White excelled in the pick-and-roll, which is crucial for a Celtics offense that heavily relies on Brown’s ability to create his own shot. White’s ability to facilitate helped offset some of the offensive responsibilities, similar to Jayson Tatum’s dual role as scorer and facilitator.
He found teammates with high-impact assists, including three to Payton Pritchard and one to Baylor Scheierman, demonstrating great court vision. As the season progresses, White’s full adaptation to the Celtics’ system could bode well for the team.
### Payton Pritchard Got Hot (Again)
Payton Pritchard continued his recent upward trajectory, delivering his best game of the season with 30 points on 10-for-16 shooting, including eight 3-pointers on 13 attempts.
Pritchard caught fire in the third quarter, scoring 14 points with four triples in the first four minutes as Boston’s lead swelled to as many as 24 points before the Clippers began their comeback.
His shooting threat forced the Clippers to adjust their defense, which opened up opportunities for teammates like Derrick White. Pritchard is now shooting nearly 48 percent from three over his last five games, despite some off shooting nights in between.
Coach Mazzulla remains optimistic about both Pritchard and White:
> “They work too hard and they’re too good of players. They’ll go up, they’ll go down, but at the end of day, they’ll make plays, and we’ve just got to execute as a team.”
### Jordan Walsh Held His Own Against Harden
While Harden had a strong fourth quarter, only one of his nine field goals came with Jordan Walsh defending him from the start of the possession—a late layup. Walsh forced Harden into tough shots and used his length, athleticism, and defensive IQ to limit Harden’s effectiveness.
Although Harden drew several trips to the free-throw line against Walsh (including three late free throws after a reviewed foul), Walsh’s defensive effort earned praise from Mazzulla:
> “It’s just Jordan’s ability to stay disciplined throughout the entire thing. He’s showing a true mindset, professionalism, and toughness to do that every night.”
Walsh’s contributions went beyond defense, grabbing six defensive rebounds and two offensive boards throughout the game.
### Derrick Jones Jr. Injury Raises Concerns
Unfortunately, the Clippers suffered a potentially serious injury in the second quarter. Derrick Jones Jr. appeared hurt in a freak accident while pursuing a loose ball. As Jaylen Brown reached for the ball, he landed awkwardly on Jones’ leg, causing the forward to crumple to the floor in visible pain.
After a timeout, Jones was helped off the court and appeared unable to put weight on his leg. The Clippers had no immediate update, but the sequence was concerning. The team has already been dealing with injuries to Kawhi Leonard (ankle) and Bradley Beal (season-ending fractured hip), making Jones’ status a key concern moving forward.
### A Very Joe Mazzulla Take on “Fun”
After the game, a young reporter from Sports Illustrated Kids asked Coach Mazzulla how he balances pushing players to improve while keeping the experience fun.
Mazzulla admitted he struggles with that balance:
> “I think fun is a cop out sometimes. When things aren’t going well, everybody likes to say, ‘Well, let’s just have fun.’ And it’s like, ‘Well, what does that mean?’
> I think you have to define what fun looks like as a team, and then you kind of have to go after that. But that phrase can be a cop out sometimes, so as you get older, kid, don’t use it. Say ‘I just want to have fun,’ it’s like, well, what does that mean? So, you’ve just got to define that. It’s a good question. I struggle with that.”
If you expected Mazzulla to call “fun” a cop-out to a child reporter, you weren’t wrong.
### What’s Next
The Celtics will face the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night in Brooklyn before returning to TD Garden for a rematch as part of NBA Cup group play. Following that, Boston will welcome the Orlando Magic next Sunday.
—
The Celtics showed resilience and balanced contributions on Sunday to secure another win. With key players like Jaylen Brown and Payton Pritchard stepping up and defensive efforts from players like Jordan Walsh, Boston looks poised to keep competing hard as the season unfolds.

Luka Doncic Shares True Feelings on LeBron James’ Imminent Comeback After Jason Whitlock’s Explosive Accusation
Luka Doncic led the LA Lakers to a 121-111 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday. Despite LeBron James missing his 11th straight game, the Purple and Gold continued their strong run, improving their record to 8-3. Much of the Lakers’ success has come courtesy of scintillating performances from Doncic and Austin Reaves while James remains sidelined.
The four-time NBA champion is inching closer to making his highly anticipated comeback. When asked about James’ imminent return, Doncic expressed his excitement and shared his true feelings about having the veteran forward back in the lineup.
“We can’t wait,” Doncic told reporters after Monday’s win. “All of us can’t wait. It’s Bron, so it’s always good to have him back. Hopefully soon.”
Doncic’s honest admission on James’ expected return comes less than a week after veteran analyst Jason Whitlock made an explosive accusation against the Lakers’ point guard. Whitlock recently claimed that Doncic “doesn’t want” James back on the team, a remark that sparked considerable debate.
Meanwhile, LeBron James is scheduled to practice with the Lakers’ G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, later this week. The four-time league MVP has been cleared for 5-on-5 practice after developing a sciatica injury during training camp. However, James has yet to practice with the Lakers’ main roster and isn’t accompanying the team on their current five-game road trip.
There is no official timeline for James’ return, but optimism is growing that he will rejoin the team this month. The Lakers’ next home game is on November 18, followed by a four-game homestand starting November 25.
### Lakers Fans React to Luka Doncic’s Comments on LeBron James
Social media buzzed soon after Luka Doncic shared his thoughts on LeBron James’ imminent comeback. Lakers fans expressed candid reactions and quickly defended Doncic, slamming critics who have repeatedly accused him of not wanting James back in the lineup.
One fan commented, “[Insert fan quote],” while another added, “[Insert fan quote].” The supportive response online highlights the strong bond between Doncic, James, and the Lakers fanbase.
### Coaching and Team Outlook
In James’ absence, coach JJ Redick has expertly maximized his roster, guiding the Lakers to fourth place in the highly competitive Western Conference standings. All eyes will be on how the Purple and Gold’s chemistry pans out once James finally makes his return.
As the Lakers gear up for the remainder of the season, fans remain hopeful that the combination of Doncic, James, and the rest of the squad will bring championship contention back to Los Angeles.

The weakness on Wall Street was driven by technology stocks, which dragged the markets lower. Shares of Nvidia Corporation, Dell Technologies, and Qualcomm all plummeted on profit-taking. Traders were also looking ahead to Friday’s Commerce Department report on personal income and spending for May, which includes inflation readings preferred by the Federal Reserve.
Oil prices gained on Monday amid optimism about demand outlook and potential supply disruptions due to tensions in the Middle East. West Texas Intermediate Crude oil futures for August rose $0.90, or 1.1 percent, to $81.63 a barrel.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s former agent Jorge Mendes reacts to ‘fuss’ around Barcelona ace Lamine Yamal
Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes has shared his thoughts on the growing attention surrounding Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal. The young star has been a hot topic on social media recently, mainly due to his off-field antics.
Despite his undeniable talent on the pitch, Yamal has come under intense scrutiny for his behavior off the pitch. His latest controversy involved remarks directed towards Barcelona’s archrivals, Real Madrid. Additionally, concerns have been raised about the young winger’s personal life, particularly prior to his breakup with Argentine rapper Nicki Nicole.
Amid the controversy, reports emerged last month that Barcelona held a meeting with Jorge Mendes, who has managed Yamal’s footballing future since 2023. The meeting was reportedly organized by sporting director Deco, following some internal concerns at the club about how Yamal’s affairs were being handled.
According to Catalunya Radio, the meeting lasted a couple of hours and revolved mainly around Yamal’s lifestyle. Deco and Mendes reached a consensus that monitoring Yamal’s activities off the pitch would be beneficial. Mendes agreed to continue advising the La Masia graduate on making the right decisions both on and off the field.
“He has been a victim of his youth,” Mendes remarked, addressing the challenges Yamal faces as a young athlete in the spotlight.
### Rising Star: Yamal’s Stellar Football Journey
Lamine Yamal was promoted to Barcelona’s senior team in 2023 but truly burst onto the scene in 2024 after leading Spain to victory in the Euros. His impressive performances earned him recognition as one of the top 30 Ballon d’Or nominees.
Although he finished eighth in the Ballon d’Or rankings—an award ultimately won by Manchester City’s Rodri—Yamal’s impact was undeniable. During the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, Mendes claimed that Yamal was the best player of the year but was overlooked due to his young age.
“Lamine Yamal has been the best, but he has also been a victim of his youth because many people who vote have thought that he is 17 years old and will have time to win these awards,” Mendes explained.
Following another series of outstanding displays, Yamal earned another Ballon d’Or nomination in 2025. This time, he climbed higher in the rankings, finishing second behind winner Ousmane Dembele.
As Yamal continues to mature both on and off the field, the football world watches closely to see how this promising talent will shape his future.

Lakers’ Underrated $12M Wing Credits Anthony Edwards for “Who’s Number 12” Fame Amid Growing Fan Support
The wing has gained notoriety in recent games, especially after Anthony Edwards’ “Who’s Number 12” jab on Wednesday. During the game, Edwards jokingly replied, “That’s what I’m asking. I don’t know.”
In a post-game conference on Sunday, the wing credited Edwards for his newfound fame. “I kinda put my hands up like this, and I kinda agree with him like, ‘who’s number 12?’ I kinda played into it a little bit. I find that kind of stuff funny ‘cause I am not well known at this moment, so I’ll just, you know, head down, working hard, that’s all I do. India vs Australia Match Prediction: Who will win today’s AUS vs IND 2025 3rd T20I match?
After a splendid run of T20I form that saw them clinch the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Asia Cup amid a plethora of bilateral trophies, India are finally up against a real challenge. The Men in Blue are in the middle of a high-profile series against Australia, and things aren’t going swimmingly at the moment.
India were in a decent position during the series opener in Canberra, but rain ensured a washout. Then, in Melbourne, Suryakumar Yadav and company were blown away by a stunning new-ball spell from Josh Hazlewood. More importantly, both their team combination as well as the suitability of their players to the conditions Down Under are suspect at the moment.
On Sunday, November 2, India will lock horns with the Aussies in the third T20I at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. The visitors will know that they need to secure a victory if they are to stay in contention to lift the trophy.
Australia will be without Hazlewood, who has been rested keeping the Ashes in mind. Glenn Maxwell is back, however, and the hosts will be keen on sustaining their stellar form in the shortest format.
### India’s T20I squad for the Australia tour:
– Suryakumar Yadav (captain)
– Abhishek Sharma
– Shubman Gill (vice-captain)
– Tilak Varma
– Nitish Kumar Reddy
– Shivam Dube
– Axar Patel
– Jitesh Sharma (wk)
– Varun Chakaravarthy
– Jasprit Bumrah
– Arshdeep Singh
– Kuldeep Yadav
– Harshit Rana
– Sanju Samson (wk)
– Rinku Singh
– Washington Sundar
### Australia’s T20I squad for the India series:

– Sean Abbott (games 1-3)
– Xavier Bartlett
– Mahli Beardman (games 3-5)
– Tim David
– Ben Dwarshuis (games 4-5)
– Nathan Ellis
– Josh Hazlewood (games 1-2)
– Ben McDermott (standby player)
– Glenn Maxwell (games 3-5)
– Travis Head
– Josh Inglis
– Matthew Kuhnemann
– Mitchell Owen
– Josh Philippe
– Tanveer Sangha

### AUS vs IND 2025: Can India pull level in the 5-match series?
Can India overcome the Aussie pace challenge? More importantly, can their bowling ask questions of a power-packed batting lineup? It’s certainly possible, but it doesn’t seem probable right now.
India’s middle order seems ill-equipped to counter the conditions in Australia. Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube have blown hot and cold of late, while captain Suryakumar Yadav looks completely out of sorts. Harshit Rana is slated to bat at No. 8, meaning that the Men in Blue don’t have the depth they so desperately crave.
Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma will breathe easy in Hazlewood’s absence, and the third T20I will probably be their best shot at a victory so far. But the fact of the matter is that India are overly reliant on their openers, particularly Abhishek, to do the bulk of the run-scoring.
Australia, despite seeing their bowling attack take a hit, will likely be the favorites for the encounter. India are in with a real chance and shouldn’t be counted out, but their performances so far just haven’t been convincing.
**Prediction:** Australia to win the 3rd T20I vs India.
