MEXC has expanded its partnership with blockchain security platform Hacken to introduce monthly, independently verified Proof-of-Reserves (PoR) audits, marking a shift toward a more formalized transparency framework for the exchange. The monthly audits will add independent verification to MEXC’s existing PoR system, creating an external record of reserves that cannot be altered internally. Hacken will publish each report independently, without MEXC’s review or approval, starting in late November. The checks will compare MEXC’s reserves with user balances across major assets. MEXC said its current reserve ratios remain above 100% across major assets, with users able to verify their balances through the exchange’s Merkle tree system on a dedicated proof-of-reserves page. A Merkle tree PoR lets users verify that their assets are included in an exchange’s total balances by checking cryptographic “hashes” instead of revealing full account data. When asked if the exchange expects monthly third-party PoR audits to become an industry standard, a spokeperson for MEXC said: We believe the industry is moving in this direction. One-time or irregular PoR snapshots no longer meet the expectations of either users or institutional counterparties. Strengthening regulation in the US, EU, and Asia also points to a trend toward mandatory periodic reporting.” Hacken is a blockchain security and compliance company with expertise in Web3 and AI-assisted tools. Since 2017, it has worked with more than 1, 500 clients, including the European Commission, MetaMask, the Ethereum Foundation and Binance. MEXC, founded in 2018, says it serves over 40 million users across more than 170 countries and regions. CoinMarketCap data ranks the exchange ninth by trading volume, at roughly $3. 65 billion. In the weeks after FTX’s bankruptcy, more than $20 billion flowed out of major platforms, according to CoinGecko data. Binance was the first major exchange to disclose its reserves after the collapse. It published an initial report on Nov. 10, 2022, followed days later by a Merkle Tree version that allowed users to verify its Bitcoin holdings. Around the same period, OKX, Deribit and Crypto. com also released proof-of-reserves reports, but most disclosures were one-off snapshots rather than ongoing audits, drawing criticism from the community for offering only limited transparency. In 2022, Kraken underwent a cryptographic audit by Armanino LLP, which verified that its Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) holdings matched customer balances. The exchange said that the independently validated process provided a level of transparency that legacy financial companies rarely offer. Bybit has been using Hacken to conduct PoR audits since June 2024. According to Hacken, the reviews check user liabilities, verify wallet ownership cryptographically, confirm that reserves exceed liabilities and use a Merkle tree system that lets users verify their own balances.

Those who don’t sleep on their stomach may wonder how sleeping face down could possibly be comfortable. I should know — I’m a former stomach sleeper myself and can speak to what to look for when shopping for a mattress. Not to mention, I’m also a professional mattress tester with nearly six years of experience, and a certified Sleep Science coach, akin to a personal trainer who helps you sleep better.
The main pain point for stomach sleepers is spinal alignment, so a mattress for them should prioritize this feature. For most stomach sleepers, their head is twisted to the side, putting strain on the neck and upper back. The lower back has a natural “S” curve, and if a mattress lacks firmness or lumbar support, the back tends to sink into the mattress surface — something you want to avoid.

Multiple reports are now pointing to Battlefield 6’s free-to-play battle royale mode launching next week as a shadowdrop, leaving the gaming industry on edge in anticipation. Rumors about the mode’s release have been swirling for weeks, and video leaks of the playtest in Battlefield Labs have only fueled hope and excitement among players.
As for what the game will actually be called, that has been a topic of much speculation. According to Battlefield and Call of Duty news account ModernWarzone—who has been leading the charge in reporting unconfirmed details—the Battlefield 6 battle royale mode will be named **Battlefield: RedSec**. This mode is also expected to be free-to-play.
Industry reporter and leaker Tom Henderson added more credibility to the rumors this morning, stating that he “can now independently verify” that Battlefield 6’s battle royale mode will arrive on **October 28**. Taiwan detects presence of 9 Chinese sorties, 6 PLAN vessels around strait
The Ministry of National Defense (MND) of Taiwan reported on ‘X’ that 9 sorties of PLA aircraft and 6 PLAN vessels were detected operating around Taiwan up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. Out of these 9 sorties, 2 crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s northern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). The ROC Armed Forces have been actively monitoring the situation and have responded accordingly.
Earlier on Saturday, Taiwan recorded similar activity, with 10 PLA aircraft and 7 PLAN vessels operating near the island. The MND noted that 5 out of those 10 aircraft sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s northern ADIZ. The official ‘X’ post stated: “10 PLA aircraft and 7 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 5 out of 10 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s northern ADIZ. ROC Armed Forces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly.”
This recent surge in military activity comes amid warnings from defense experts regarding China’s newly unveiled weapon systems. These systems are reportedly designed to counter Taiwan’s long-standing asymmetric warfare strategy.
According to the Defence and Security Biweekly published by the Institute for National Defence and Security Research (INDSR), assistant research fellow Sheu Jyh-shyang highlighted that Taiwan has invested heavily for decades in asymmetric warfare. This defense strategy relies on low-cost, highly effective systems intended to deter Beijing from launching a large-scale invasion.
The frequent incursions and maritime operations exemplify rising tensions between Taiwan and China, a relationship long marked by geopolitical strain. Taiwan, officially known as the Republic of China (ROC), governs itself independently with its own distinct political and economic systems. However, China continues to claim Taiwan as part of its territory under the “One China” principle, insisting there is only one China with its capital in Beijing.
The roots of this dispute trace back to the end of the Chinese Civil War in 1949, when the ROC government retreated to Taiwan after the Communist Party, led by Mao Zedong, took control of mainland China.
