Ben Shelton’s soccer star girlfriend Trinity Rodman sends love to American from afar as he kicks off Paris Masters campaign with stellar win

Ben Shelton kickstarted his 2025 Paris Masters campaign with a win over Flavio Cobolli in the opening round. Shelton’s serve proved to be a powerful weapon, as he won 86% of points on his first serve compared to Cobolli’s 81%. Pushing the Italian deep in rallies, Shelton eventually secured a straight-sets victory, 7-6 (4), 6-3.

Shelton’s girlfriend and soccer star Trinity Rodman showed her support online as he progressed in the event. She re-shared a picture of Shelton from @atptour on Instagram Stories, displaying the scoreline and expressing her love with a single heart emoji.

Rodman’s support comes at a crucial time for Shelton, who is making a comeback from injury. The World No. 6, a 2023 US Open and 2024 Australian Open semifinalist, had been hopeful to make a deep run at this year’s US Open before a shoulder injury sidelined him in the third round. He returned to the tour at the Shanghai Masters, where he lost to David Goffin in the opening round, and later competed at the Swiss Indoor Basel, falling to Jaume Munar in the second round.

Despite these setbacks, Shelton remains ranked 6th in the world and is on track to potentially make his debut at the ATP Finals in Turin.

Trinity Rodman recently opened up about the “rough times” she and Shelton faced at the start of their relationship. The couple, who have been Instagram official since March 2025, are both professional athletes who actively support each other’s careers and frequently attend each other’s games.

In a recent episode of ‘Friendlies’ on X with Sam Mewis, Rodman spoke about how much Shelton’s support meant to her when she was sidelined with a back injury in March, right at the beginning of their relationship.

“I would say Ben was huge in that support, and it’s so funny because it was like the start of our relationship. Rough! Rough timing for Ben. It was literally like the beginning of our relationship. I’m going through, like, the hardest time of my life. I’m really happy we made it out of that,” Rodman shared.

Unfortunately, the Olympic gold medalist suffered another serious injury during a game at the 2025 Concacaf W Championship Cup earlier this month. She has since shared an update with fans as she recently returned to training.

Ben Shelton will next face Andrey Rublev in the second round of the 2025 Paris Masters on Thursday, October 30. Fans will be hoping to see Shelton maintain his strong form as he continues his quest for a deep run at the prestigious tournament.

Newly Revealed Action-RPG Loulan: The Cursed Sand Looks Sick

I love an action RPG. Though I’m really bad at math, following the call of “number go up” while also having my reflexes tested is a blast. Unfortunately, games like *Diablo IV* and *Path of Exile 2* have online components that I can’t always keep up with.

Fortunately, an upcoming game looks like it will capture some high fantasy action RPG goodness without requiring me to stay connected to an online service or rally a bunch of friends. *Loulan: The Cursed Sand*, from developer ChillyRoom, just got a reveal trailer today, showcasing some epic combat and gorgeous environment design—all from a satisfying isometric camera perspective.

No release date was provided, but the game will arrive on both PC and PS5 when it launches. Check out the trailer here: Sick, right?

There were a few moments I wanted to highlight in case they didn’t catch your eye. First, there’s this amazing moment where the player character grabs a weapon from the enemy—in this case, a massive boulder—and wields it against them. This demonstrates a cool level of interactivity that I’m hoping there’s more of throughout the game.

I’m also digging how blocking incoming attacks seems to be a key feature. I like having math involved in my combat, but I don’t want to rely solely on numerical stats to defend myself.

Also, check out this… uh, I’m not quite sure what it is, but it’s definitely an example of some awesome enemy design!

Giants RB Cam Skattebo’s nasty injury leaves teammates ‘distraught’

Just two weeks after knocking off the Philadelphia Eagles back in New York, the Giants were back in Philly to take on their division rival in the second leg of the season series on Sunday in Week 8.

Unfortunately for New York, things took a turn for the worse in the first half. Running back Cam Skattebo, who has become a fan favorite as well as a key contributor during his rookie season, went down with a gruesome right leg injury after catching a pass in the second quarter.

An Eagles defender fell on the back of his leg, and it quickly became clear that something was seriously wrong. Skattebo’s teammates immediately reacted, dropping to a knee in prayer and showing their concern.

He was carted to the locker room with what is likely a serious, long-term injury. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

Deadline looms: YouTube TV warns subscribers they may lose ESPN, ABC, and all Disney channels due to ‘costly economic terms’ proposed in ongoing contract dispute

**YouTube TV and Disney in Ongoing Negotiations Over ABC and ESPN Content**

YouTube TV is currently engaged in critical negotiations with Disney to continue offering Disney-owned content, including ABC and ESPN, to its subscribers. The outcome of these negotiations could significantly impact YouTube TV users, with the potential removal of popular channels if an agreement is not reached.

**The Current Situation**

On October 24, YouTube TV released a statement addressing the ongoing talks. The platform emphasized that it has been negotiating “in good faith” to secure a fair deal with Disney. However, YouTube TV claims that Disney’s proposed terms are “costly” and would likely lead to higher subscription prices for customers. They also noted that the deal could limit consumer choices while benefiting Disney’s other live TV services such as Hulu + Live TV and FuboTV.

Disney, on the other hand, accused YouTube TV of “exploiting its position at the expense of their own customers,” according to a spokesperson who spoke with the press. The stakes are high; in addition to popular entertainment channels, major sports programming like the NFL, NHL, and college football could also disappear from YouTube TV if negotiations fail.

**Deadline Approaching**

Both parties have set a firm deadline to resolve the dispute: October 30 at 11:59 PM ET. If no agreement is reached by then, Disney’s content will be removed from YouTube TV’s lineup. In response, YouTube TV has pledged that if Disney’s channels remain unavailable for an extended period, subscribers will receive a $20 credit.

**Past Negotiation Challenges**

This is not the first time YouTube TV has faced tough negotiations with major content providers.

– In 2021, during discussions with NBCUniversal, there was a significant risk of losing roughly 14 channels from the platform. After tense deliberations, the parties eventually reached a positive agreement.
– Earlier this year, YouTube TV also had to renegotiate terms with Paramount to keep CBS and CBS Sports available. This process threatened about 30 channels, drawing notable public attention. Although a deal was secured, YouTube TV subsequently raised its subscription price by $10 per month.

These past experiences highlight the recurring challenges YouTube TV faces in balancing content costs with service pricing.

**What’s Next?**

Subscribers should monitor announcements closely as the October 30 deadline approaches. The potential removal of Disney channels like ABC and ESPN would mark a significant change to YouTube TV’s offerings, especially for sports fans and those who regularly watch Disney’s programming.

Stay tuned for updates on the negotiation progress and any official statements from either company.

Celebrity Traitors viewers all say the same thing about cast seconds into debut episode

Celebrity Traitors fans all sat down to watch the debut episode of the BBC One show tonight, taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their excitement.

For months, fans of The Traitors have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Celebrity Traitors, and tonight they were finally treated to the first episode. The show features a star-studded cast of 19 celebrities who head to Scotland to take part in the game.

Just like the original series, the BBC show is hosted by Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia Winkleman. While the rules remain the same, viewers can expect a number of new twists that add to the intrigue. However, there is one major difference this time around—the familiarity of the players. Since many contestants come from the showbiz world and know each other outside the game, it may be easier for them to detect who is lying.

The prize money is different too. The celebrities are competing to win £100,000 for a charity of their choice. In the regular series, the Faithful and Traitors battle it out for a cash prize of up to £120,000.

Stars such as Kate Garraway, Jonathan Ross, and Alan Carr are among those heading to Scotland for what promises to be a dramatic game.

Fans were quick to express their enthusiasm during the first episode. One fan on X wrote, “Oh I adore this cast already, can we just have 9 days of watching them do challenges.” Another added, “I’m actually obsessed with this cast already, 10/10 from the BBC!” A third commented, “This casting—an actual all-celeb cast for once in a show!!”

Another overjoyed viewer shared, “This is such a stellar cast, TV will never be this good again,” while someone else exclaimed, “I cannot and will not get over this cast. It is the most premium celebrity cast a celebrity format has ever seen!”

For those eager to watch more, the show will continue with two episodes per week. Episode two airs tomorrow at 9 pm, but after that, viewers will need to wait until next Wednesday for the third installment.

There will be nine episodes in total, with the finale scheduled for Wednesday, 5 November at 9 pm on BBC One.

If two episodes a week aren’t enough, fans can also tune in to BBC Two after the show airs to join Ed Gamble for a celebrity edition of *The Traitors Uncloaked*. This companion show will be available at 10:15 pm on BBC Two or on BBC iPlayer.

Get ready for more drama, deception, and celebrity antics as Celebrity Traitors continues!
