Trader who made $190M shorting crash also apparently bet on CZ’s pardon

The anonymous crypto trader who reportedly made millions shorting the crypto market before US President Donald Trump’s tariff announcement appears to have profited again by betting that Trump would pardon the founder of Binance.

Onchain sleuth Euan highlighted Etherscan data showing a connection between this trader and a Polymarket account. The crypto wallet allegedly made $56,522 on Polymarket by betting that Trump would pardon Changpeng “CZ” Zhao sometime in 2025.

This trader had already been suspected within crypto circles of having access to insider knowledge, after their tightly timed Bitcoin and Ethereum shorts just hours before Trump’s tariff announcement sent prices tumbling.

‘Crazy stuff’ needed for Bitcoin to reach $250K this year: Novogratz

Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz said that for Bitcoin to reach $250,000 by the end of the year, the planets would almost need to align perfectly.

Several crypto executives have recently reaffirmed their $250,000 Bitcoin price predictions for year-end. “The end of the year is only two and a half months away,” Novogratz said during a CNBC interview, adding: “There would have to be a heck of a lot of crazy stuff to really get that kind of momentum.”

Arthur Hayes calls for $1M Bitcoin as new Japan PM orders economic stimulus

Japan’s new Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi, announced a package of economic stimulus measures on Tuesday aimed at easing inflation’s impact on households.

Some crypto observers believe these measures may drive more capital into Bitcoin. The stimulus includes subsidies for electricity and gas charges, as well as regional grants to ease price pressures and encourage small to medium-sized businesses to raise wages.

BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes interpreted this as a precursor to more fiat money printing by Japan’s central bank, which he says may propel Bitcoin’s rise to $1 million. “Translation: let’s print money to hand out to folks to help with food and energy costs,” Hayes commented on X, adding this dynamic might trigger a rise in both Bitcoin and the Japanese yen.

Over 40% of Australian Gen Z and Millennials regret not investing in cryptocurrency a decade ago, a new survey from crypto broker Swyftx reveals.

The study, conducted by YouGov and released Thursday, surveyed 3,009 people. Nearly half of those under 35 expressed regret for missing out on crypto, followed by regrets over not buying property or shares in big tech companies like Apple and Amazon.

The fear of missing out (FOMO) is likely fueled by institutional buying of Bitcoin and Ether by corporations, sovereign entities, and US pension funds, according to Swyftx.

Rick Pitino pulling many positives from St. John’s competitive preseason loss to Michigan

One week ago, St. John’s struggled against mid-major opponent Towson but found a way to secure a win. Saturday night, however, they fell short in a 96-94 overtime setback to Michigan at the Garden. Despite the loss, there were encouraging signs in the Johnnies’ fight, their ability to rally from deficits, and the overall play of their frontcourt.

“I saw a lot of really good things,” coach Rick Pitino said afterward. “But I think the weakness is just eight new guys [getting used to] playing together. Great game, great game.”

The entertaining exhibition featured two preseason Top 10 teams, each boasting some of the nation’s best forwards: Zuby Ejiofor for St. John’s and Yaxel Lendeborg for Michigan. Both forwards performed well, combining for 49 points. St. John’s forwards Bryce Hopkins and Dillon Mitchell also had strong moments, each contributing 13 points. Point guard Dylan Darling (seven points, two assists) rebounded from a shaky outing against Towson.

Ultimately, Michigan proved superior on the glass, outrebounding St. John’s by 12 boards. The Wolverines also shot an efficient 52.2 percent from the field compared to 39.7 percent for the Johnnies. Pitino emphasized the need for his guards to improve their rebounding and defense while praising the active play of his frontcourt.

It didn’t help that starting guards Oziyah Sellers and Joson Sanon (14 points) both fouled out, limiting their minutes. Michigan coach Dusty May believed this was a key factor in the outcome.

The Red Storm trailed by eight early in overtime before sophomore Lefteris Liotopoulos caught fire, scoring eight consecutive points. He had a chance to give St. John’s the lead with 8.4 seconds left but missed two of three free throws.

Pitino and Ejiofor expressed concern over being outrebounded in both exhibition games and acknowledged that the many new players aren’t yet fully cohesive. While the defense forced 22 turnovers, it allowed 54 points in the paint to the mammoth Wolverines, who feature two seven-footers, Morez Johnson Jr. and Aday Mara.

“We’re trying to get back to that defensive mindset we had last year,” said Ejiofor, who finished with 24 points, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals. “It’s going to take time, but we’re going to figure it out.

“There’s no excuses. Winning is the standard that we’re trying to build here at St. John’s. Everybody came here to win, all the transfers came here to win. Just be better and learn from it.”

Pitino repeatedly praised the experience of facing an elite opponent at the Garden for the lessons it provided. The Hall of Fame coach intentionally scheduled a difficult nonconference slate to better prepare St. John’s for the challenges ahead.

“We’ll be ready for Quinnipiac. I don’t know if we’re ready for Alabama or Kentucky, Ole Miss, and the Las Vegas trip,” Pitino said. “But we’ll get it done. A lot of people are in the same boat we’re in with new players. I set the schedule tough because I need to know [where we have to get better].

“If we played a [lesser] team and won easily, we wouldn’t know what our weaknesses are. So I wanted to find out, and I found out tonight what our weaknesses are. It’s a great teaching tool.”

BlockDAG Surpasses $430M In Presale as BNB Dips and Worldcoin Targets $2.10 in the 2025 Crypto Watchlist!

Learn How BlockDAG’s Over $430M Presale Is Redefining Growth While Binance Coin Dips and Worldcoin Aims for $2.10

The market’s next rotation is already underway. Binance Coin (BNB), Worldcoin (WLD), and BlockDAG (BDAG) headline this week’s top-rated cryptocurrencies, each representing a different phase in market development.

While Binance Coin (BNB) price dropped to $1,182, showing short-term consolidation, Worldcoin’s (WLD) price prediction continues to lean bullish, with analysts expecting a move above $2.10. Yet, it’s BlockDAG’s ongoing presale that has captured global attention, having raised over $430 million with its $0.0015 limited-time entry in Batch 31.

Backed by more than 3.5 million X1 users, 312,000+ holders, and 20,000+ miners sold, BDAG is proving that real traction precedes market hype. While BNB and WLD focus on maintaining support levels, BlockDAG is building an entire ecosystem ready to reshape Layer-1 performance.

BNB Dips Slightly but Retains Long-Term Strength

Binance Coin (BNB) price dropped by 0.23%, resting near $1,182, as the market paused after weeks of steady growth. The pullback seems more like a breather than a breakdown, with the asset still holding above key moving averages.

Technical charts show mixed momentum. A bullish MACD crossover suggests potential upside, while neutral oscillators indicate consolidation. The next crucial resistance is at $1,194, which could confirm renewed upward momentum if broken. On the downside, $1,117 remains a strong support.

This quiet phase gives strategic traders time to reassess positions before the next market swing. BNB’s consistency during broader volatility signals confidence from its community and underlines its reputation as one of the most stable assets among top-rated cryptocurrencies.

Worldcoin Builds Momentum Toward $2.10 Target

Worldcoin (WLD) is showing early signs of strength after weeks of sideways trading. The asset has climbed to $0.98, edging closer to reclaiming the $1.00–$1.10 support range that could serve as a launchpad for the next rally.

Analysts forecast a potential move toward $2.10, which would nearly double its value if buying volume sustains. Renewed optimism follows a steady rise in market sentiment and healthy trading activity, signaling that confidence is returning to WLD.

However, maintaining price stability above $1 remains essential for preserving the bullish outlook. Many analysts describe this current range as an accumulation phase, where gradual consolidation sets the stage for a larger move.

If momentum holds, Worldcoin could soon rejoin the list of top performers among 2025’s trending digital assets.

Final Countdown: BlockDAG’s $0.0015 Presale Sparks a Global Buying Wave

BlockDAG continues to accelerate ahead of its November 26 Genesis Day, marking one of the most successful presales in recent memory. With over $430 million raised, more than 27 billion BDAG coins sold, and a global community exceeding 3.5 million mobile miners, the project’s fundamentals show strength unmatched by most presale initiatives.

Currently priced at $0.0015 in Batch 31, BDAG’s limited-time offer represents the final window before the network transitions to public trading. Its TGE Code feature gives ranked presale participants early airdrop access, adding an incentive layer to engage before launch.

The hybrid DAG + Proof-of-Work design provides scalability for up to 15,000 TPS, maintaining the security standards of PoW systems while optimizing transaction speed.

BlockDAG’s ecosystem already includes verified audits, a functional Awakening Testnet, and a prestigious partnership with the BWT Alpine Formula 1® Team, extending its brand visibility beyond crypto circles.

This combination of technical credibility, community expansion, and real utility has positioned BDAG as one of the top-rated cryptocurrencies entering 2025. As the presale window narrows, experts agree: BlockDAG isn’t following trends, it’s defining them.

Once Genesis Day arrives, early participants may see the payoff of being ahead of the market’s next major narrative.

BlockDAG Leads the 2025 Outlook

While Binance Coin’s minor pullback reflects consolidation and Worldcoin’s $2.10 target showcases recovery potential, BlockDAG represents growth on an entirely different scale.

Its hybrid architecture, audited infrastructure, and rapidly expanding ecosystem make it a rare presale with measurable progress. With the $0.0015 entry price closing soon and $430M+ already secured, BlockDAG continues to dominate analyst discussions across major crypto forums.

As the countdown to Genesis Day continues, BDAG is shaping the conversation around what defines the next generation of Layer-1s, making it not just a presale story but the start of a new chapter for blockchain scalability and adoption.

Thousands flock to NC Central University for homecoming with new safety measures in place

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) — Thousands of people flocked to North Carolina Central University on Saturday for homecoming, which came with new security measures ahead of this year’s celebrations.

Despite the Eagles’ 35-26 loss to Delaware State, the energy and excitement for homecoming remained high. Many current and former students describe the event as a family reunion.

“Homecoming means the greatest four years of your life that we are able to reflect on with friends, family,” said Chelsea Ray, an NCCU Class of 2005 alum.

This year’s festivities were filled with Eagle Pride.

“People come from all over the country to Durham, North Carolina, every year to celebrate our homecoming,” shared NCCU senior Zion Tyson.

Quentin White, who graduated from NCCU in 2023, expressed gratitude for a safe and enjoyable homecoming experience.

“It’s amazing, man, being able to do something like this without any violence going on? It’s perfect,” he said.

The university implemented several changes this year to improve safety, following two separate shootings during last year’s homecoming weekend that left four people injured.

To enhance security, only faculty, staff, and students were allowed to park on campus during the festivities. Shuttle services were also provided from downtown Durham and Durham Tech to campus. Additionally, all music on campus ended at 6:30 p.m., and the campus closed down by 7 p.m.

ABC11 observed a significant law enforcement presence on campus from various agencies, as well as drones monitoring the Post Game Social on Saturday evening.

NCCU alum Lakeaya Lane appreciated the added safety measures.

“This area is about to be packed with people,” she said. “Knowing that you’re going to be safe and everybody can come and there’s still a place where everybody can be.”

NCCU senior Malcolm Reed agreed, offering advice to fellow Eagles celebrating homecoming this weekend.

“Stay safe out there. Don’t do nothing crazy. Don’t do nothing your mom wouldn’t approve of,” he said. “We’ll see you next year!”

“Guys, we have cancer survivors in the crowd”- Rebekah Allick opens up about Bergen Reilly’s advice that helped Nebraska Volleyball team push limits

Nebraska Volleyball Team Player Rebekah Allick Opens Up About Teammate Bergen Reilly’s Inspiring Advice

The Nebraska Cornhuskers recently showcased their dominance by winning against the Northwestern University Wildcats with a clean 3-0 sweep. In the post-match press conference, Rebekah Allick and teammate Teraya Sigler discussed the cancer awareness campaign promoted by the Nebraska Volleyball team throughout the current season.

Allick echoed Sigler’s sentiments about raising awareness for cancer survivors who were present during the match. In her words,

“Wow, well said. Um, yeah. I feel like one thing that really resonated with me was when Bergen, right before our second set, she hit the nail on the head. I felt we could’ve played better in those first two [sets], and she goes, ‘Guys, we have cancer survivors in the crowd. Let’s give them a show.’ And I’m like, ‘That’s the freaking truth.’”
[7:10 onwards]

Continuing Their Winning Streak

This victory marked the Nebraska Volleyball team’s 19th consecutive win. The Huskers are now preparing to face the Wisconsin Badgers on October 31 at the UW Field House in Madison, Wisconsin.

Insights Into Nebraska Volleyball’s Mindset

During the same press conference, Rebekah Allick shared insights about the team’s mindset and work ethic. Reflecting on advice from head coach Dani Busboom Kelly, Allick said,

“I don’t even know how to explain it. We’re just really freaking good. I’m going to say it. We’re just really freaking good. We have pushed ourselves since January. December 21st is playing in all of our heads. It has always been that John used to, and Dani like they are always thinking like ‘Every match is a National Championship’, and so when we go to practice, like we go in sixes.”

The game against Northwestern was also the 10th consecutive time the Cornhuskers didn’t lose a single set throughout a match, highlighting their consistency and dominance.

Team Morale and Practice Culture

Allick further opened up about the team morale during practice sessions, sharing,

“It feels like a Saturday Night match when we play sixes like we’re cheering on the ground, like tears are being shed. It can be really frustrating when you push yourself so hard all week and it doesn’t show for an hour and a half. It can be really frustrating as a competitor, but personally, as a senior, I couldn’t be more proud.”

Recently, the Nebraska Volleyball team also marked its 11th consecutive sweep by defeating the Michigan State Spartans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.
