How to Obtain Secret Letters in Duet Night Abyss

1) Complete Daily Commissions and Quests

The most common way to acquire Secret Letters is by completing Daily Commissions and quests. These will reward you with Secret Letter Clues. Once you accumulate enough clues, you can exchange them for Secret Letters in the in-game shop. These Secret Letters can correspond to new characters, weapons, or Demon Wedges that you wish to obtain.

2) Challenge Nocturnal Echoes for Character and Weapon Secret Letters

Nocturnal Echoes is one of the three endgame modes in DNA. Completing this challenge grants Secret Letters for any character or weapon available in the game. This mode is a great option if you want to obtain a wide variety of Secret Letters.

3) Challenge Immersive Theatre for New Characters and Weapons

Unlike Nocturnal Echoes, the Immersive Theatre game mode only drops Secret Letters for the newest characters and weapons in Duet Night Abyss—and only for a limited time. For example, if Psyche is a newly released character, her Secret Letters will be available through Immersive Theatre until the next new character is introduced.

4) Challenge Mystic Maze

Mystic Maze is a rogue-like game mode that provides Secret Letters for select characters. Currently, you can complete this challenge to obtain Thoughts and Secret Letters specifically for Lisbell.

5) Achievements, Atlasium, and Archives

You can also obtain a significant number of Secret Letter Clues by unlocking achievements and progressing through the Atlasium and Archives sections. However, keep in mind the total number of clues you can get from these sources is limited.

How to Use Secret Letters in Duet Night Abyss

Buy a Specific Secret Letter

After collecting enough Secret Letter Clues, visit the Covert Commissions section in the in-game Shop. Here you can exchange your clues to buy Secret Letters for your desired characters, weapons, or Demon Wedges.

Challenge Covert Commissions

Exit the Shop and navigate to the Combat section from the main menu. Open the Covert Commissions tab and select a challenge based on the item you want to unlock.

Select the Reward

Before starting the challenge, choose the Secret Letter corresponding to the character, weapon, or Demon Wedge you wish to obtain. For example, to unlock Randy permanently, select his Secret Letter to earn his Thoughts as a reward. Once you have collected 30 Thoughts, you can visit the Armoury and unlock Randy through the Reminiscence feature.
