Winter also revealed the long-lasting effects of his experience, including extreme post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). “It will wreak havoc on you. It’s a way in which you relate to the world around you and to yourself, and it’s very nuanced, but you can become very fractured,” he explained. “You slowly compartmentalize. You keep this thing over here, you keep that thing over there, and you don’t have any natural equilibrium. That fracturing just gets worse and worse and worse.”

He described how by his mid-20s, he was barely holding himself together. “By your mid-20s, it’s like you’re holding those different selves together with duct tape. That’s when you see kids overdosing or blowing their heads off. In my case, I was just like, I need to stop doing this thing where these eyes are on me all the time and I don’t feel safe or comfortable … I just want to go ride the subway and help raise a family and do my writing and directing.”

An Albuquerque, New Mexico man has been arrested on charges of allegedly killing and dismembering his mother before placing her remains in a freezer, according to reports.

Court records show 49-year-old Leroy Vallejos was booked into the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center on Wednesday. He faces charges including first-degree murder, battery, battery of a household member, and tampering with evidence. Vallejos is currently being held under preventative detention.

The Albuquerque Police Department reported that Vallejos admitted to choking his 69-year-old mother, Ernestina Lucero, to death nearly three weeks ago, KRQE Albuquerque reported. Police further revealed that Vallejos claimed his mother was part of a “group of people giving their lives to darkness” who were conspiring against him.

Officers conducted a welfare check at Lucero’s home last Tuesday after Vallejos informed a healthcare company that his mother had been missing for about a week. He had contacted the company to request payment for her care despite not having seen her recently. During the welfare check, Vallejos allowed officers inside and told them his mother had gone to Mexico. However, officers found Lucero’s prescriptions still in her bedroom.

One officer reportedly found garbage bags inside a large freezer, which were later determined to contain the remains of a female, according to the station. This discovery prompted a more thorough search of the home, where officers found a saw with what appeared to be dried blood stains under a sink.

Prior to the welfare check, another family member had reported Lucero missing, leading the police department to issue a missing person bulletin on October 23 and begin an investigation. Preliminary findings indicated that Vallejos had allegedly withdrawn money from his mother’s bank account, and her vehicle had been sold before she was reported missing.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence in this disturbing case.

However, years of public skepticism have led to apps such as Enigma crowdsourcing data regarding UFOs, in what Heckenlively believes is a positive step toward transparency between the U.S. government and citizens looking for answers.

“I’m skeptical of alien stuff,” Heckenlively said. “But I’m convinced that the government is lying to us.”

President Donald Trump said Friday that his administration has asked federal courts to clarify whether it can legally release Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) payments as the government shutdown continues.

In a statement posted to Truth Social, Trump said government lawyers had raised doubts about whether existing funds could be used for the November distribution, and that two courts have issued conflicting opinions on the matter.

“Our Government lawyers do not think we have the legal authority to pay SNAP with certain monies we have available, and now two Courts have issued conflicting opinions on what we can and cannot do,” Trump wrote.

“I do NOT want Americans to go hungry just because the Radical Democrats refuse to do the right thing and REOPEN THE GOVERNMENT.”

The president said he had instructed administration attorneys to ask the courts for clarification “as soon as possible.”

“If we are given the appropriate legal direction by the Court, it will BE MY HONOR to provide the funding, just like I did with Military and Law Enforcement Pay,” Trump added.

“The Democrats should quit this charade where they hurt people for their own political reasons, and immediately REOPEN THE GOVERNMENT.”

Trump urged food stamp recipients to contact Senate Democrats, writing, “If you use SNAP benefits, call the Senate Democrats, and tell them to reopen the Government, NOW! Here is Cryin’ Chuck Schumer’s Office Number.”

SNAP, formerly known as food stamps, provides aid to about 42 million Americans each month, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Funding for the program depends on congressional appropriations, which have lapsed during the current shutdown.

USDA Chief warns, “We’re right at the cliff” as 40 million Americans brace for a potential food stamp cutoff.

The president made his comments one day before the scheduled Nov. 1 payment date for many recipients. The USDA has not publicly confirmed whether benefits will be issued if the courts do not provide new guidance.

Trump has repeatedly accused Democrats of prolonging the shutdown to gain political leverage, while Democrats say the White House could reopen the government by signing a short-term spending bill already passed in the Senate.

In his post, Trump referenced his earlier actions to protect military and law enforcement paychecks during the standoff, calling it his duty to “ensure Americans don’t go hungry.”

‘Meth Busters’: CBP officers in Eagle Pass halt massive drug shipment bound for United States

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Eagle Pass, Texas, intercepted nearly 90 pounds of liquid methamphetamine this week, uncovering the narcotics hidden inside plastic bottles during a vehicle inspection, officials said.

The discovery was made on October 29 at the Camino Real International Bridge when officers referred a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban for secondary inspection. A closer search revealed five plastic bottles containing 88.8 pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $816,556, CBP said in a statement.

“This significant seizure was possible because of the continued vigilance and alertness our CBP officers put forth on a daily basis,” said Port Director Pete Beattie of the Eagle Pass Port of Entry.

CBP officers seized the narcotics, and Homeland Security Investigations special agents have opened a federal inquiry.

On social media, the agency struck a lighter note by posting photos of the evidence with the caption:
“When there’s something strange, in a vehicle, who you gonna call? Meth Busters!”

The pun-filled post quickly drew attention online, but officials emphasized the serious stakes behind the operation. They called the seizure part of an intensified effort to block synthetic drugs at South Texas ports of entry.

Blue state ICE agents dodge bullets, speeding cars as left ramps up tracking campaigns

Two shootings involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers have taken place over the past 10 days in Southern California, amid increasing tensions as individuals on the left continue to track ICE agents.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin provided a statement to Fox News Digital detailing one such incident. On Thursday in Ontario, California, an individual pulled their car in front of ICE officers. After the officers ordered the driver to leave the area, the individual attempted to run them over by reversing directly at them without stopping, according to McLaughlin.

Fearing for his life, one ICE officer fired shots at the vehicle, which then fled the scene. McLaughlin described the event as “another example of the threats our ICE officers are facing day in and day out.”

Highlighting the increasing danger to ICE personnel, McLaughlin said, “ICE officers now face a 1,000% increase in assaults against them, including cars being used as weapons, and death threats against our agents are up 8,000%.” She added, “This violence must end. Let me be clear: Anyone who assaults, impedes, obstructs, or threatens the lives of federal officers will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

In a separate incident on October 21, DHS reported that TikTok influencer Carlito Ricardo Parias, an undocumented immigrant, tried to ram his car into a law enforcement vehicle in Los Angeles. ICE officers fired shots at Parias, hitting him in the elbow. Additionally, one U.S. Marshals officer was shot in the hand by a ricochet bullet.

Both individuals involved in these incidents are currently in stable condition. DHS officials confirmed that charges are being pursued against Parias for allegedly assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal law enforcement.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Parias had been tracking ICE agents for months prior to his arrest and was known among some as “Tiktokquero,” “El Señor Richard,” and “Richard.”

These incidents underscore the growing threats faced by ICE officers in the course of their duties, amidst heightened political and social tensions surrounding immigration enforcement.

Chris Hansen Shares What He Saw After ICE Ride-Along Targeting Illegals Who Threaten Children

Chris Hansen, host of the investigative series “Takedown,” appeared Wednesday alongside U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), highlighting the agency’s active efforts to remove “criminals out of this country.” Since the start of President Donald Trump’s second term, the administration has prioritized cracking down on illegal immigration and conducting mass deportations.

“In the last month, we have caught 45 predators seeking to exploit children. Seven of those were for a new investigative series we have going on with ICE ERO [Enforcement and Removal Operations],” Hansen said. “They go out after these people who are here illegally but have also been convicted of crimes against children.”

Hansen recounted a case involving a convicted sex offender from Mexico who lived next to a daycare facility and just three blocks from a school. “And as we’re doing this, anti-ICE protesters are rallying outside ICE headquarters with no idea as to what we just did,” Hansen added.

Fox’s Jesse Watters noted, “The activists don’t like ICE outside of schools.” Hansen responded, “But it’s OK to have a registered sex offender next door to a daycare facility.”

Under Trump’s push for mass deportations, ICE has conducted raids in major cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City—areas often known as “blue cities.” Despite voters in 2024 ranking the border crisis as a top concern under the Biden administration, Democrats have criticized the deportations and defended some illegal immigrants.

In April 2024, Democrats rallied behind alleged MS-13 member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, demanding the administration bring him back to the U.S. after he was deported to El Salvador. While some Democrats showed support for Garcia on social media, others, including Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen, took taxpayer-funded trips to visit him in El Salvador before his return to the United States.

Watters asked Hansen about his experience in the field with ICE and whether agents shared any insights. Hansen said, “They are very happy to have their hard work shown. These are dedicated men and women who are trying to get criminals out of this country. We’re not talking about somebody who didn’t check a box here. We’re talking about criminals.”

He continued, “We watched in New Mexico one early morning as they arrested a man under investigation for sexually assaulting children in the home at the time. And this guy is in the country illegally.” Hansen emphasized the role of ICE agents in protecting children, “the most innocent asset we have in this society,” and noted their pride in the work they do.

Concerns about migrant children under the leadership of former President Joe Biden increased in summer 2024 after whistleblowers such as Tara Rodas testified against the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Rodas brought attention to issues within the Office of Refugee Resettlement, including the vetting of sponsors for migrant children.

Human trafficking experts, including Ali Hopper, President and founder of GUARD Against Trafficking, have continued to raise concerns with lawmakers about missing migrant children and sex trafficking risks in the U.S. In July 2024, Hopper testified before Congress, revealing that the Biden administration allegedly missed 65,000 calls from migrant children to a hotline established to report safety concerns.

The Democratic Party’s ill-advised shutdown of the federal government continues to backfire spectacularly, with the latest humiliation unfolding this week.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the so-called “Schumer Shutdown” took effect at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday after two measures aimed at averting the government shutdown failed in the Senate. Both measures required 60 votes to pass. The GOP-backed measure fell short with a 55-45 vote, notably with Senator Rand Paul voting alongside the Democrats.

The Democratic Party and Paul appeared to prioritize providing health care to illegal immigrants and other unrelated issues over keeping the government running.

On Thursday, Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) appeared on Fox & Friends to insist that Democrats do not support giving health care to illegal immigrants. “I haven’t heard anybody in my party saying illegal immigrants should get access to the health insurance market!” Shaheen claimed.

However, Fox & Friends co-host Lawrence Jones had a surprise ready. He presented footage of several prominent Democrats stating the exact opposite.

“I’m so glad you said that,” Jones replied. “Actually, I have some tape of your Democratic Party members saying this on the debate stage. Let’s play the clip.”

The footage showed a June 2019 Democratic Presidential Primary Debate where every candidate raised their hand when moderator Savannah Guthrie asked if their health care plans would cover illegal immigrants.

“That’s literally every member of your party, from moderate to more progressive, who have said that,” Jones explained.

Once again, a Democratic narrative was debunked on the spot. Well played, Lawrence Jones.
