Two TVK functionaries sent to 14-day judicial custody in Karur stampede case

Two office bearers of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) were sentenced on Tuesday to 14 days’ judicial custody in connection with the stampede that occurred during a party rally. Directions are being issued to the BMC and other civic authorities across Maharashtra to implement these recommendations and action points in the ATR.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic accident occurred on Thursday evening near Bahri bypass, about 30 km from Sidhi district headquarters, when an SUV rammed into a stationary truck unloading tents for Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s scheduled programme.

The incident took place around 7:30 pm. The truck was stopped to unload equipment for the CM’s event, planned for Friday. According to police reports, the SUV struck the truck from behind, causing immediate fatalities and injuries.
