MP News: ‘Public Trust Is Our Greatest Asset And We Must Maintain It’ Says CM Mohan Yadav At Commissioner-Collectors Conference In Bhopal

**Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Emphasizes Public Trust and Good Governance at Commissioner-Collectors Conference**

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted that public trust is the state’s greatest asset and must be maintained at all costs. He made these remarks at the inauguration of the two-day Commissioner-Collectors Conference 2025, held at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Center in Bhopal on Tuesday.

Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh has established a responsible and result-oriented governance system aimed at providing immediate and quality services to the public. “The goal of developing the state through good governance is our top priority,” he emphasized.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of effective implementation of government schemes, efficient management, and direct communication with citizens. He urged officials to ensure that the benefits of government programs reach everyone in need without delay.

Encouraging field visits, Yadav called on officials to engage directly with the public to understand their problems and offer prompt assistance. “We must deliver great results to the citizens,” he added. “Each one of us plays a crucial role in democracy and public welfare, and field officials have the responsibility to ensure that the public receives the actual benefits of the schemes.”

Mr. Yadav further emphasized accelerating the speed of development through transparent governance. He noted that the conference will focus on simplifying and enhancing governance processes to enable faster delivery of scheme benefits to the public.

Drawing a parallel to the responsibilities entrusted by God, the Chief Minister said, “If God has given us the responsibility of working for society, we must fulfill it like a humble student.” He urged officials to continuously learn new methods and apply their skills and experience efficiently to serve the people better.

Addressing farmers’ concerns, Mohan Yadav assured that they will receive a fair price for their soybean crop under all circumstances. The registration of farmers under the Bhavantar Yojana will continue until October 17, 2025. Additionally, the price difference will be transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts within 15 days of crop sale.

The conference was attended by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary (General Administration) Sanjay Kumar Shukla, multiple Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, Collectors, CEOs of District Panchayats, and senior government officials from all districts.

This event underlines Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to strengthening governance and ensuring inclusive development across the state.

Trump says his intervention was ‘very effective’ in India-Pakistan conflict

US President Donald Trump on Monday described his use of tariffs as a measure to stop wars, calling them a vital tool for peacekeeping. He further asserted that his communication with India and Pakistan during their recent conflict was “very effective,” claiming his actions helped end the battle between the nuclear-armed neighbors through trade.

“Tariffs are very important for the United States. We are a peacekeeper because of tariffs. Not only do we make hundreds of billions of dollars, but we’re a peacekeeper because of tariffs,” Trump said during an Oval Office interview, according to reports by news agency PTI.

The US President emphasized that without the “power of tariffs,” multiple wars would still be ongoing. “I use tariffs to stop wars. If you look at India and Pakistan, they were ready to go at it. Seven planes were shot down. They were ready to go at it. And they are nuclear powers. And I don’t want to say exactly what I said, but what I said was very effective. They stopped. And that was based on tariffs. It was based on trade,” he added.

India, however, has consistently denied any third-party intervention in the conflict. The tensions escalated after India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians.

Following four days of intense cross-border drone and missile strikes, India and Pakistan reached an understanding on May 10 to end the conflict. India has maintained that this cessation of hostilities resulted from direct talks between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of the two nations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also made it clear in Parliament that no foreign leader requested India to halt Operation Sindoor.

President Trump has claimed multiple times that he ended seven wars during the second term of his administration, including conflicts involving India and Pakistan, Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, Congo and Rwanda, Israel and Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Since May 10, when Trump announced via social media that India and Pakistan had agreed to a “full and immediate” ceasefire after a “long night” of talks mediated by Washington, he has repeatedly stated that he “helped settle” the conflict between the two countries.

Trump added that out of the seven wars he ended, at least half were due to his “ability at trade and because of tariffs.” “If I didn’t have tariffs to throw around a little bit, you would have at least four wars raging right now, with thousands of people a day being killed,” he said.

WURD holds Founder’s Day Gala to recognize contributions of Dr. Walter Lomax

WURD Radio held its annual gala over the weekend at the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center, recognizing the contributions of Dr. Walter P. Lomax, the founder of the station. The event celebrated the station’s 13th year of existence and highlighted the impact WURD has had in informing the Black community in Philadelphia.

“I really just want to thank everyone who is here,” said Sara Lomax, president and CEO of WURD Radio. “These are really challenging times for an organization like WURD. We sit at the intersection of media, which is under attack, and Black media empowerment, which is absolutely under attack.” Lomax expressed deep gratitude for the support the station has received from its listeners and the community at large.

At the event, WURD announced the launch of “Freedom Journeys: Celebrating the Lives of 250 Phenomenal Philadelphians,” a multimedia project that will spotlight the work of Black residents—both past and present—who have made a significant impact. The two- to three-minute video presentations will air on WURD leading up to Philadelphia’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday in 2026.

“The point is we’re under attack right now,” said City Council President Kenyatta Johnson during the event. “We know African American history is American history, so this evening is an invitation for all of us to stand and speak truth to power.”

This year’s recipients of the 2025 Community Impact Award included:

– Loree Jones Brown, CEO of Philabundance
– Solomon Jones, WURD Radio host and executive director of ManUp PHL
– Derrick Pitts, chief astronomer at the Franklin Institute
– Dolores Robinson, trailblazing talent agent and producer

“At this moment when our nation’s leaders are not demonstrating compassion, our work is even more important,” said Loree Jones Brown. “The weight of these challenges and the scale of the work can be overwhelming—that is why I am grateful not to have to labor alone. Nights like this lighten the burden.”

Jones Brown added that she hoped everyone who attended the event felt encouraged, knowing they are all part of the fight to make Philadelphia, the country, and their communities better places. “Everything I’ve done, I’ve done out of love for my people,” she said. “I am honored to be honored by my own, and I am grateful for the platform that I have been given at WURD. I love our folks.”

The Founder’s Day event also included a “Defenders of Democracy” panel discussion featuring attorneys Michael Coard, Keir Bradford-Grey, and Dorothy Robinson. Moderated by WURD host James Peterson, the panel focused on the state of democracy in the United States, legal strategies to protect the civil rights of African Americans, immigration issues, and the military occupation of American cities.

The discussion helped attendees and listeners understand the moment they are living in and connected them to legal resources.

“People often say that things are getting worse in America—that’s not really true,” said Michael Coard. “Racism is more visible in America; we’re figuring out a plan to reignite the civil rights–type litigation of the 50s and 60s.” Coard also emphasized the vital role that Black media has played in Black activism in America, helping to tell the stories of struggles and issues faced by Black communities and the nation as a whole.

Mayor Cherelle Parker, who also spoke at the event, reflected on the significance of the gathering. “What it (the meeting) affirms for me is that all of us, in our own right, have a role,” she said. “There are different ways that we can contribute to the social and economic advancement of African and African American people here in our great city.”

Illegal crossings at U.S.-Mexico border plummet to lowest annual level since 1970

Unlawful crossings along the U.S.-Mexico border in fiscal year 2025 plummeted to the lowest annual level since the early 1970s, amid the Trump administration’s sweeping clampdown on illegal immigration, internal federal statistics obtained by CBS News show.

U.S. Border Patrol agents recorded nearly 238,000 apprehensions of migrants crossing the southern border illegally in fiscal year 2025, which began in October of last year and ended on Sept. 30, according to preliminary Department of Homeland Security data that has not been previously reported.

The number is the lowest annual tally recorded by Border Patrol since fiscal year 1970, when the agency reported roughly 202,000 apprehensions along the U.S.-Mexico border, historical figures indicate.

It also represents a seismic change from the record-high levels of Border Patrol apprehensions recorded under the Biden administration, which faced an unprecedented humanitarian crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. In fiscal year 2022, Border Patrol made 2.2 million apprehensions—a record—and almost 10 times the levels recorded in 2025.

More than 60% of the apprehensions made by Border Patrol in fiscal year 2025 along the U.S.-Mexico border were recorded in the last full three months of the Biden administration, the preliminary data shows. (Government fiscal years start in October and end in September, often spanning different administrations.)

Over President Trump’s first full eight months in office, Border Patrol agents assigned to the southern border have recorded fewer than 9,000 apprehensions each month—a number that the agency recorded in 24-hour periods during some days under former President Joe Biden.

The internal DHS figures show Border Patrol made nearly 8,400 apprehensions at the U.S.-Mexico border in September 2025, an increase from 6,300 in August and 4,600 in July, which was a monthly record low.

Border Patrol apprehensions denote the number of times agents intercepted and processed migrants entering the country between official ports of entry, which is illegal. Some migrants can be counted multiple times if they attempt to enter the U.S. more than once after being turned back to Mexico.

In a statement, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said, “President Trump has overwhelmingly delivered on his promise to secure our Southern Border. As a result, Americans are safer; unvetted criminal illegal aliens and dangerous drugs are no longer pouring over our border unchecked.”

Jackson added, “And for all the Democrats who claimed it was impossible to secure the border or that they needed new policy, turns out all we needed was a new President. A new normal.”

Ariel Ruiz Soto, an analyst at the Migration Policy Institute—a nonpartisan think tank based in Washington—noted that illegal border crossings began to fall sharply in the summer of 2024, after the Biden administration enacted strict limits on asylum. But he said the Trump administration had set “a new normal” for migration flows in just a few months.

Ruiz Soto explained that the Trump administration’s stringent policies at the border and inside the U.S. “have had a significant effect on people being deterred from coming illegally to the United States.”

Soon after Mr. Trump took office for a second time, his administration moved to seal and militarize the southern border, closing down the American asylum system using emergency powers, dispatching thousands of soldiers to repel illegal crossings, and shutting down Biden-era programs that allowed some migrants to enter the U.S. legally.

While parts of the asylum ban have been curtailed and declared illegal by courts, the Trump administration has virtually ended the practice of releasing migrants who cross into the U.S. illegally, deporting them quickly or holding them in detention while their cases are reviewed.

Beyond the border, the Trump administration has staged highly publicized operations targeting those living in the U.S. illegally, dispatching teams of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and Border Patrol agents across the country with the objective of overseeing a deportation campaign of unprecedented proportions.

The crackdown has not been without controversy. The administration’s border policies have been denounced as inhumane, draconian, and illegal by groups like the American Civil Liberties Union, which has challenged them in federal court on the grounds that they are at odds with U.S. and international asylum law as well as the Constitution.

The federal immigration raids well beyond the border have also triggered significant backlash, particularly in major American cities like Chicago and Los Angeles, where large-scale protests have erupted.

National and local Democrats have decried the raids as indiscriminate and overly harsh, accusing the Trump administration of not solely focusing on deporting violent offenders.

Citing confrontations and instances of violence, Mr. Trump in recent days has ordered National Guard troops to deploy to Chicago and Portland, Oregon, to protect immigration agents and facilities there. A federal judge has so far blocked the plan to send National Guard units to Portland.

Amid the national debate over immigration enforcement, those living along the southern border say there’s no denying the reality on the ground has changed markedly.

John Martin said his network of shelters in the Texas border city of El Paso housed hundreds of migrants during spikes in illegal crossings under the Biden administration. On Monday, he said his organization was not housing a single migrant, stating he has received “little to no” new arrivals who are not local homeless residents in recent months.

He attributed this change to Mr. Trump’s crackdown.

“If the goal is to decrease the number of individuals, I would say that appears to have been successful, without getting into the politics about whether or not I like it or dislike it,” Martin said. “We’re just simply not seeing the people.”

Kate Middleton’s ‘Heartbreaking Dilemma’: Prince William’s Wife Panicking Over Sarah Ferguson’s Fresh Jeffrey Epstein Scandal… as Pressure Grows to Cut Ties With Disgraced Duchess

**Kate Middleton Caught in Royal Headache as King Charles Seeks to Cut Ties with Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson**

*Published: October 6, 2025, 4:30 p.m. ET*

Kate Middleton is reportedly caught in a royal dilemma as her father-in-law, King Charles, aims to sever ties with his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew, and Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. The recent leak of Ferguson’s emails concerning convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has brought fresh embarrassment to the royal family, RadarOnline.com reveals.

### Middleton Concerned About Potential Scandals Amid Royal Tensions

Insiders claim that Prince William’s wife has voiced worries about Andrew and Ferguson potentially causing further scandals for the monarchy amid King Charles’ efforts to have the pair removed from the Royal Lodge. Andrew and Ferguson have lived there for years despite their 1996 divorce.

According to a source familiar with the situation, Middleton’s concerns have even clashed with her husband William’s stance on the matter.

> “Prince William thinks Andrew and Fergie should be removed from Royal Lodge. He believes it is the only way to protect the monarchy and wants to put an end to the scandal once and for all,” the insider said.
>
> “However, Kate is panicked that pushing the Yorks too far might trigger more sordid bombshells.”

### King Charles Haunted by ‘Megxit’ and Cautious of Retaliation

King Charles, still haunted by the fallout from ‘Megxit’—when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020—shares some of Middleton’s concerns.

> “He also worries that if the Yorks are pushed too hard, Andrew might retaliate, possibly through a tell-all book,” the source added.
>
> “Andrew has previously mentioned writing a memoir, which could be devastating if it comes to light.”

The monarch is reportedly torn between protecting the family name and the unpredictable nature of Andrew and Ferguson. Ferguson herself has reportedly appealed directly to the King not to force her and Andrew out of the family.

### A Heartbreaking Dilemma for Middleton

In a surprising twist, Middleton and Ferguson reportedly bonded over their health battles after the future queen revealed her own fight with cancer last year. The insider revealed that Middleton was “truly touched by Ferguson’s words” but now faces a “heartbreaking dilemma.”

> “Kate is under growing pressure to cut ties with the Duchess of York,” the insider explained.
>
> “While she cares for Sarah, Kate cannot afford to be pulled into this web of lies that could jeopardize the family. Her priority remains her children, her health, and the future of the Crown.”
>
> “This isn’t a storm she can stand beside. Kate feels she must put the monarchy first.”

Privately, Ferguson believes she still has allies within the Firm, but Middleton has reportedly taken a step back from their relationship.

### Ferguson’s Jeffrey Epstein Email Scandal and Family Fallout

Kate Middleton is not the only family member taking distance from Sarah Ferguson amid the scandal. According to RadarOnline.com, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie—the daughters of Andrew and Ferguson—have also distanced themselves from their mother following the leaked emails.

The emails revealed that Ferguson maintained contact with the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein years after claiming to have cut all ties, causing widespread shock.

> “Their natural instinct is to defend their mum, but it’s unfortunately indefensible,” an insider said.
>
> “They have their own families to think about, and this is a double betrayal for their mum to be implicated in this Epstein mess alongside their dad.”
>
> “They now keep contact to a minimum, which has deeply hurt Sarah. She’s horrified this information has come out.”

As the royal family navigates this turbulent chapter, the delicate balance between protecting the monarchy and managing internal relationships remains at the forefront.

Kate Middleton’s ‘Heartbreaking Dilemma’: Prince William’s Wife Panicking Over Sarah Ferguson’s Fresh Jeffrey Epstein Scandal… as Pressure Grows to Cut Ties With Disgraced Duchess

Kate Middleton is reportedly caught in a difficult situation as her father-in-law, King Charles, seeks to cut ties with his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew, and Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. The couple’s recently leaked emails concerning convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein have brought fresh embarrassment to the royal family, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

Insiders disclosed that Prince William’s wife has expressed concerns about Andrew and Ferguson potentially sparking further scandals during Charles’ ongoing efforts to have them removed from the Royal Lodge. The former couple have lived there for years despite their 1996 divorce.

### Middleton Fears Pushing Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson ‘Too Far’

According to sources, Middleton’s worries about the situation clash with her husband Prince William’s views. The insider explained:
“Prince William thinks Andrew and Fergie should be removed from Royal Lodge. He believes this is the only way to protect the monarchy and wants to draw a line under the scandal once and for all.
However, Kate is panicked that more sordid bombshells might emerge if the Yorks are pushed too far.”

King Charles is said to be “haunted by the memory of Megxit,” when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020. He shares some of Middleton’s concerns about potential fallout. The source added:
“He also worries if the Yorks are pushed, Andrew might retaliate — perhaps even with a tell-all book.
There’s real fear he could go down the same path as Prince Harry. Andrew has already talked about writing a memoir before. It could be devastating.”

### The King’s Dilemma

Sources note the monarch faces a difficult balancing act in deciding whether to sever Andrew’s ties with the royal family. The insider continued:
“Charles feels he cannot allow the family name to be tarnished further. At the same time, he’s very aware of the risks. The Yorks are unpredictable, and there’s real concern about what they might do next.
Fergie made a point of asking the King not to force her and Andrew out of the family.”

### Middleton and Ferguson’s Unlikely Bond

Despite the tensions, Middleton and Ferguson reportedly bonded over recent health struggles after the future queen disclosed her battle with cancer last year. The insider noted that Middleton was “truly touched by Ferguson’s words,” but now faces a “heartbreaking dilemma.”

### Middleton ‘Under Pressure’ to Cut Ties With Ferguson

The source explained:
“Kate is now under growing pressure to cut ties with the Duchess. Kate cares for Sarah, but she can’t afford to be pulled into this and feels this new web of lies could destroy the family.
Her priority is her children, her health, and the future of the Crown.
This isn’t a storm she can stand next to. Kate has no choice — she must put the monarchy first.
Privately, Sarah believes she still has friends in high places within the Firm, but Kate has now taken a step back.”

### Ferguson’s Jeffrey Epstein Email Scandal Widens Rift

Middleton isn’t the only family member distancing herself from Sarah Ferguson amid the scandal. As previously reported by RadarOnline.com, Andrew and Ferguson’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are also said to be cooling their relationship with their mother following the leaked emails.

The insider shared:
“Their natural instinct is to defend their mum, but it’s unfortunately indefensible. They have their own families to think about, but this is a double betrayal for their mum to now be caught up in this Epstein mess with their dad.
They both have no choice but to keep their contact to a minimum, and this has cut Sarah deeply. She’s horrified this has come out.”

As the royal family navigates this latest scandal, it remains to be seen how these strained relationships will evolve and what impact they will have on the future of the monarchy.

Japan Gets Its First Woman PM

Japan is poised to anoint the country’s first woman prime minister, Sanae Takaichi, even as the world’s fourth-largest economy contends with an ageing population and a rise in populist and ultranationalist forces.

The conservative hardliner of more than three decades standing narrowly defeated the minister of agriculture and a political scion in the ruling centre-right Liberal Democratic Party (LDP)’s presidential race on Saturday. Takaichi’s confirmation in her historic new role as premier is expected to proceed smoothly when the Diet (parliament) convenes on the 15th of this month.

Her LDP commands the largest bloc of seats in both houses of parliament, albeit without a majority in either, and could benefit from a fragmented and divided opposition. A one-time TV anchor, who recently told an audience that her goal was to become the “Iron Lady” — in reference to the British former premier Margaret Thatcher — the veteran Takaichi’s mettle will be tested early on multiple fronts.

Foremost among these challenges is Japan’s long-standing political instability since 1990, characterized by the rise and fall of 18 prime ministers, a majority of whom served less than one year. A moment of reckoning for the LDP is the current simultaneous loss of a clear majority in both houses of parliament, unprecedented in the party’s decades-long history, which led to the exit of the outgoing premier, Shigeru Ishiba.

The erosion in its support base could be linked to the mushrooming of parties that tap into popular discontent, such as the ultra-conservative, anti-immigration, and anti-foreigner Sanseito party. In the elections to the country’s upper house in July, Sanseito’s vote share was larger than that of the biggest opposition party, and its tally of seats climbed from 2 to 15.

The LDP’s predicament mirrors that of Europe’s mainstream parties, struggling to claw back disaffected voters while retaining its traditional base among the elderly.

As a fiscal dove and heir to Abenomics — the stimulus policies of low interest rates and fiscal expansion credited to the late prime minister Shinzo Abe — Takaichi has signalled plans for higher spending to stoke demand and raise wages. She has attributed the current uptick in inflation to higher input costs.

However, commentators voice scepticism regarding the effectiveness of such a course, given Japan’s demographic trajectory of sluggish growth, a shrinking population, labour shortages, and stagnant wages.

On the international front, Takaichi’s not infrequent visits to the Yasukuni shrine to honour Japanese victims of WWII, alongside her plans to rewrite the country’s pacifist constitution, are likely to raise hackles in neighbouring China and South Korea.

Later this month, when the new premier hosts US President Donald Trump, the agenda will doubtless feature the substantial investments Tokyo has committed in exchange for a 15 per cent tariff on the country’s exports as part of the recent trade agreement. Any significant revision to those terms is considered highly unlikely.
